Kidz In The Hall and Reebok have joined forces with Reebok to create The Classic Remix Collection, an initiative that allows emerging Hip-Hop talents re-interpret timeless rap records. The effort has produced a remix of “I Got It Made,” an iconic 80’s record by rapper Special Ed. The latest version of the 1989 song will only be available for consumers that purchase the Reebok Classic Remix collection on March 10, 2009 exclusively at Foot Locker retailers. Kidz In The Hall, a group signed to Major League/Duck Down Music, represents the first in a line of new talents that will reintroduce celebrated tracks. The new song will be available to be downloaded by customers who purchase footwear at Foot Locker. “I think it’s a great milestone for an indie Hip-Hop artist. We have broken and hopefully will continue to break boundaries not only for us but all of our peers,” Double O of Kidz In The Hall told AllHipHop.com. “Reebok, an icon in their own right, took a chance with us and I think that we have gone above and beyond with the music and presentation of the new re-launch. In the end, I think our partnership has truly created a new classic.” After Kidz In The Hall, music fans can expect additional remixes from Chicago’s Kid Sister, then B.o.B.of Decatur, GA. Reebok will continue to offer retro images from the past, like the songs, but offer updated looks that are reminiscent of the company’s history. Each remix features a new shoe from the collection. Reebok will offer new styles and color ways from the collection throughout the year, each featuring a new artist and re-interpreted track. See Kidz In the Hall Discuss the Reebok Classic.
