Rap legend LL Cool J is not pleased at a cameo appearance on a new Sarah Palin show that debuts on Fox later this week.
The rapper expressed discontent in the fact that an old interview was rebroadcast to promote the show of the former Republican vice-presidential candidate.
From his Twitter account, LL cool J said, “Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palin’s Show. WOW.”
The show premiers on April 1, but it is not an April Fool’s joke. The show, “Real American Stories,” is the first of its kind for Fox.
LL Cool J’s appearance was heavily promoted, as well as appearances from country singer Toby Keith and General Electric CEO Jack Welch. In the episode LL speaks on his love of America, among other matters.
“My family is very pro-American,” he said in the segment. “My grandfather used to sit me in his lap, and we would watch all of the old World War II shows that used to come on, back in the day. I’m totally on it, totally into it, and I love it. My grandfather, even after we said grace, he would say, ‘Chow!’
”
At press time, Fox News had no comment on LL Cool J’s apparent displeasure at the use of his likeness.
