Megan Thee Stallion may have fired the first albeit subliminal shot against Nicki Minaj, leading to a weekend of insults and a response from the NYC rapper, but she has remained pretty quiet since, that is until she mentioned Roc Nation, sparking a social media frenzy.
On Thursday (February 1), Meg joined some of her loyal fanbase, collectively known as “The Hotties,” for a chat on Station Head. During the discussion, Megan The Stallion teased, “Don’t make me call Roc Nation,” before laughing wildly.
Clips of the taunt spread like wildfire on social media, and the phrase went viral.
On Wednesday (January 31), Minaj continued her attack on Megan during a Twitter Spaces hosted by Joe Budden.
She accused Meg of wanting a “Rihanna moment,” claiming she exploited the Tory Lanez shooting. Minaj also said her issue was more than beef with Megan Thee Stallion and insisted she was fighting “a bunch of different machines” trying to ruin her career.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, Azealia Banks weighed in on the feud. She also mentioned Roc Nation, claiming Jay-Z and the label are the real source of Nicki Minaj’s issues with Megan Thee Stallion.
“Nicki is just mad because she wants to be a Roc Nation girl,” Azealia said on Instagram. “There’s no Wayne around, there’s no Drake. She feels really vulnerable … She wants the protection of a Roc Nation. She wants the organization and the prestige.”
