(AllHipHop News) Paul McCartney and John Lennon are considered one of the all time greatest songwriting teams in modern music history. The Beatles members crafted numerous iconic tunes for their band and other artists.
Recently, McCartney has been working with another superstar talent – Kanye West. The legendary 72-year-old guitarist told The Sun the experience was not much different from his times making music with Lennon.

“When I wrote with John, he would sit down with a guitar. I would sit down. We’d ping-pong until we had a song. It was like that [with Kanye],” said McCartney.
West and McCartney co-wrote Kanye’s single “Only One” off his forthcoming So Help Me God album. The song is a tribute to Ye’s mother and daughter.
“My mum came to me in a dream when she’d died years previously. I was in a bit of a state — it was the sixties and I was overdoing it. In the dream she said, ‘Don’t worry, it’s all going to be fine. Just let it be.’ And I woke up and thought ‘Woah’, and wrote the song,” explained McCartney. “I told Kanye this and he said, ‘I’m going to write a song with my mum,’ so then I sat down at the piano.”
While the partnership spawned several other tracks like “FourFiveSeconds” and “All Day,” McCartney admitted he was hesitant at first about teaming with Kanye.
“He is amazingly talented but controversial and can make eccentric moves. I realized if it didn’t work out we’d just say so and shake hands and leave,” added the Beatles great.
