“Work” marks Rihanna’s 14th Hot 100 chart topper. The Roc Nation singer now has 14 career #1 songs, moving her into third place alone behind The Beatles (20) and Mariah Carey (18).

Rihanna (born in Barbados) and Drake (born in Canada) also helped set a new record for the number of singles by non-Americans to consecutively maintain the top spot on the Hot 100. This makes the ninth straight non-American act to rule over the chart dating back to August 2015.

The last 9 number one songs were Rihanna & Drake’s “Work,” Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself,” Zayn’s “Pillow Talk,” Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” Adele’s “Hello,” The Weeknd’s “The Hills,” The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face,” Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?,” Omi’s “Cheerleader.” Wiz Khalifa was the last U.S. born artist to have a #1 song with “See You Again” in July 2015.
