Snoop Dogg turned smoked-out roaches and a decades-old mugshot into high-priced collectibles as his “Ashes to Art” collection raked in $148,100 before closing Monday (August 18).
The standout piece, “Snoop Doggy Dogg Genesis Burn,” featuring his 1993 LAPD mugshot scorched with marijuana ash and sealed with a roach he personally smoked, fetched a whopping $70,000.

The artwork includes a rare autograph and was described as “a raw, reverent flashback to the moment a legend was born. At its core is Snoop Dogg’s official 1993 LAPD mugshot—scorched at the edges, flecked with marijuana ash, and sealed beneath a smoked roach burned by Snoop himself. This isn’t just a portrait—it’s a timestamp from the fire that forged an icon.”
The auction, featured seven original pieces created in collaboration with artist and Joint Venture co-founder Erica Kovitz.
