Snoop Dogg is looking to document his most recent battle with the Los Angeles Police Department in a feature film. The Long Beach-bred rapper hopes to craft a movie derived from his experience in a football game against the cops.
Tentatively titled, “The Longest Yard,” the movie is likely to be directed by Jessy Terrero, a famed music videographer. Terrero has already worked with the Dogg on the rapper’s “Tell It Like It Is” video set.
In December, the Snoop Dogg All-Stars defeated Inland Empire Police Department Enforcers 33 – 21 in a sports melee at the Long Beach City College Veteran Stadium. The event was a fund-raiser for the Loma Linda Children’s Hospital.
In related news, Snoop has signed on to star in “Soul Plane,” a remake of “Airplane!,” one of the rapper’s favorite movies. Ironically, the film is directed by Jessy Terrero and co-stars Method Man. In addition, the thespian D-O-Double-G is wrapping up production on “Starsky & Hutch,” a film based on the successful 70’s cop series.
