In case you didn’t know, T.I has severed professional ties with his protege Iggy Azalea. During a visit to Hot 97’s “Ebro in the Morning” show, he discussed what prompted the musical split.
Tip revealed that he parted ways with the Aussie rapper “after the Q- Tip thing.” He’s referring to the lengthy hip-hop lesson Q-Tip gave Azalea via Twitter after she began getting slammed for cultural appropriation.
“After I kind of had smoothed it over and was like ‘Okay, what was really meant to be said here is’ … Then everything was cool and they kind of came back and undid what I just did,” he said. “I’m a loyal partner and if I rock with you I’m going to rock with you. If we right, wrong, we’ll discuss that in the car. We going to get out of here right now, though. That’s just how I am. Right now I’m going to block the bullets, now go. Now when I say ‘Go’ [really] go. Don’t stand around and talk while I’m blocking bullets. You slowing me down.”

Iggy is reportedly working on her sophomore project, but has remained quiet and out of the spotlight. Her public appearances have been limited and she decided to let her team manage her social media accounts.
T.I is also gearing up for a new release. He dropped Da Nic EP earlier this week and will releasing his tenth studio album, The Dime Trap soon as well.
