T.I. Returns To New York Stage Following Shooting Drama At Irving Plaza

T.I. HIT THE STAGE IN NEW YORK…NO PROBLEMS THIS TIME!

(AllHipHop News) Rapper T.I. has returned to the stage for the first time since a fatal shooting forced him to shut down a gig in New York last month.

The “Whatever You Like” hitmaker joined DJ Khaled as he opened for Beyonce at Citi Field in Queens, New York on Tuesday night (June 7), and the two Hip-Hop heavyweights performed “Bring ‘Em Out” together.

T.I., real name Clifford Harris, was preparing for his show at Manhattan’s Irving Plaza on 25 May when a gunman opened fire backstage, killing Troy Ave’s bodyguard Ronald McPhatter and leaving three others, including the visiting rapper, injured.

T.I., who was rushed to safety, took to Twitter the following day and offered up his prayers to those injured and the family of the dead 33-year-old.

He wrote: “My heart is heavy today. Our music is intended to save lives, like it has mine and many others.”

T.I.’s return to the stage on Tuesday night comes just two days after DJ Khaled welcomed Meek Mill back to the spotlight in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The rapper celebrated the end of his house arrest sentence by joining Beyonce’s support act and Rick Ross onstage in his hometown on Sunday night.

The trio performed “Ima Boss” and “All Eyes On You” as Meek Mill celebrated the end of his 90-day detention, which began in March, after he was found guilty of violating the terms of his probation in December, 2015.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday night, Khaled also welcomed French Montana, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Yo Gotti and Travis Scott to the Citi Field stage for performances.
