(AllHipHop News) Top Dawg Entertainment’s 2017 is ending with DAMN by Kendrick Lamar and Ctrl by SZA topping dozens of year-end album lists. It appears TDE is already looking to drop a Jay Rock project in the new year.
The label’s in-house engineer Derek “MixedByAli” Ali posted an Instagram picture of the Watts emcee in the studio. The photo’s caption read, “Soon Come [Jay Rock] #TDE #EngineEars.”
Jay Rock’s current discography consists of 2011’s Follow Me Home and 2015’s 90059. The Black Hippy member recently appeared at TDE’s Holiday Concert & Toy Giveaway event along with his musical colleagues Kendrick, SZA, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Isaiah Rashad, and SiR.
MixedByAli recently got great news when he found out his stolen hard drive, which reportedly contained more than $1 million worth of original music, was recovered by police. It’s not clear if the device contained tunes by Jay Rock.
