(AllHipHop News) Lawyers for rapper Troy Ave are holding a press conference tomorrow (August 8) in regards to a deadly shooting at a popular concert venue in Manhattan.
Troy’s attorneys Scott Leemon, John Stella and Marc Albert are planning a media and press conference outside of Irving Plaza.
Irving Plaza was the scene of a shootout during a T.I. concert on May 25, that left one person dead and three others injured, including Troy Ave, who allegedly shot himself.
Portions of the shooting were caught on several videos, including one that was released by the NYPD showing Troy Ave blasting away in a backstage area at Irving Plaza.
Some have speculated that Troy Ave was fistfighting backstage with Internet podcaster Taxstone, over comments he made on social media before the deadly shooting erupted.
So far, Troy Ave, born Roland Collins, is the only suspect and is accused of attempted second degree murder and four counts criminal possession of a weapon.
No one has been charged with killing Troy Ave’s close associate Ronald “Banga” McPhatter, who died after he was shot in the stomach during the altercation.
The press conference will begin at 12:30pm outside Irving Plaza located at 17 Irving Place, New York, NY.
