Tupac
Shakur’s
Estate settled out ofcourt to the Estate of Orlando Anderson for an undisclosed amount
last week. The settlement comes from a lawsuit Anderson had filed
against Tupac and Death Row Records CEO, Suge Knight. Anderson,
who was assaulted by Tupac and Suge in Las Vegas September of
1997, filed the civil suit in October. Shakur’s Estate filed a
counter-suit four days later, claiming wrongful death, alleging
that Anderson was responsible for the murder of Tupac. Anderson
was gunned down May 29th, 1998, and his Estate sued the Shakur
Estate, claiming it had breached an oral agreement to pay a $78,000
settlement of the 1997 action.
