(AllHipHop News) SZA’s “The Weekend” is one of the most popular tracks off the singer’s Ctrl album. Evidently, the song about three different ladies sharing the same man is a relatable experience for some women.
Wale decided to present the male perspective on complicated multiple relationships. On his “The Weekend Remix,” the MMG representative raps, “Monogamy’s not for the weak-hearted.”
The original version of the platinum single has been described by some as a “side chick anthem.” SZA has repeatedly pushed back against that characterization of “The Weekend.”
“My man is MY man Is YOUR man heard [that’s] HER man too. [That’s] 3 women… Not two… all getting played. One opted out. No side chick. Sorry lol,” tweeted the TDE vocalist last July.
