(AllHipHop News) The latest episode of Tidal’s Rap Radar podcast features DMV rapper Wale. The It’s Complicated EP creator touched on several topics connected to his career, including parting ways with Atlantic Records.

“It’s all love with them. I’m still writing music for some of the artists that’s on there,” said Wale. “You can’t get rid of me, Atlantic.”

He added, “I’m definitely still with MMG, but [Rick Ross] knows I want to level up too. I want to get my EBM joint moving, and I want to go somewhere where I can get a building that doesn’t have to look at me and four other artists as one artist.”

Wale’s association with Maybach Music Group gives him inside knowledge of the label head’s current health situation. Ross was hospitalized in Miami last month.

“The media had me rattled a little bit, but I’m like, ‘That’s definitely not.’ I was talking to Sam Sneak the whole time,” recalled Wale. “Fat Boy good. He probably ain’t been resting, he’s going hard working on Port Of Miami 2.”
