(AllHipHop News) A judge has reportedly issued a warrant for the arrest of singer/reality TV star Teairra Marie after she failed to appear in court.
“The Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” regular, who once had a deal with Jay Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records, was due to appear in court in Los Angeles on Monday (June 13) to face charges of misdemeanor battery, theft and vandalism.
She was hit with the charges last year after she allegedly fought an Uber driver during an altercation about a cell phone charger in July, 2015. He performed a citizen’s arrest and called the police when she refused to leave his car.
Mari, who denies the incident, reportedly failed to appear before the judge, so a warrant was issued for her arrest, according to TMZ.com. She has been ordered to surrender to the authorities.
Mari has told the website it was a misunderstanding and she had got the time of the court appearance wrong. She claims she’s rescheduled to appear on Tuesday morning (June 14).
