EXCLUSIVE: Capone-N-Noreaga/Good Belt Gang Sign To Penalty Entertainment
(AllHipHop News) Seminal rap group Capone-N-Noreaga are set to reunite with a brand new album, and the duo now announces they have also reunited with the label that helped launch their careers. CNN, along with Noreaga’s Good Belt Gang, have signed to Penalty Entertainment, LLC.

CNN is returning to Penalty Entertainment (formerly Penalty Recordings) 17 years after their debut album The War Report was released on the imprint. For this stint with the indie label, Noreaga is bringing Good Belt Gang’s City Boy Dee, Yung Reallie, D Tweez 4 Da Cheese, Sanogram, Black Boy Cocca and Money Ming along as well.
“I’m excited to once more be apart of Penalty, a company I helped build in the late 90’s. Get ready for us to shake the game up this time around!” states Nore. “Good Belt Gang is where my heart is at. I’m happy to be able to help birth the careers of some very dope and creative artists and I’m super hyped to be doing it along with Penalty.”
Both CNN and GBG are expected to release albums this fall. Capone-N-Noreaga’s upcoming LP will be the follow-up to 2010’s The War Report 2: Report the War.
Capone-N-Noreaga and Good Belt Gang join Joell Ortiz, eMC (Masta Ace, Stricklin, Punchline & Wordsworth), Hi-Rez, and Lil’ Mo at the revamped Penalty. The label is being distributed by Sony RED.
“The re-signing of legendary group CNN is a monumental moment in the Penalty legacy and I’m proud to be able to share it with the world,” adds Penalty Entertainment’s Founder/CEO Neil Levine. “I’m also excited to be able to contribute toward building Nore’s vision with Good Belt Gang, a new generation of artists he’s passing the torch down to. Chief Keef's Eviction From Chicago Mansion Caught On Camera (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Luda wasn’t talking to Chief Keef in that lyric but after today (June 10th) it applies. Earlier today (June 10th), Chief Keef was evicted from his rented mansion in Highland Park, IL.
Dr. Bal K. Bansal rented the home to Keef and stated that the rapper was simply moving out and it was not an eviction. However, back in March, reports surfaced that Chief Keef was over $30,000 in debt. According to the Chicago Tribune, the eviction process started in February of this year and at a May 7th hearing culminated in a court order mandating the forcible entry and detainer, essential to an eviction.
While Bansal claims Keef was a “good tenant”, his neighbors portrayed a different circumstances. Neighbor Ken Cooper claimed that drugs could be smelled emanating from the mansion and claimed that the police were constantly called as a result of Keef:
We had to call the police for a fight. There was a gun shot. Yes, [the police have been called]. I would say several times a week.

Cappadonna Releasing "The First Ever Hip Hop Album With No Hooks"
(AllHipHop News) In a press release distributed today (June 10th), Wu-Tang Clan member Capadonna announces that his next album will be the “first ever Hip Hop album with no hooks”.
The album, entitled Hook Off will be mostly produced by Virgina-based producer J Clyde instead of RZA and will feature no hooks on any of the songs. The album will be released later this summer after initially being slated for a Spring 2014 release. The album will be released through God Love Music Entertainment LLC, Wu-Tang Management and Protect Ya Neck Digital.
Cappadonna will be giving out All Access Passes on his radio show on Wu Radio on Friday nights at 8pm EST. The last solo album Cappadonna released was Eyrth, Wynd and Fyre back in February 2013.
Kim Kardashian's Mom Explains Why Jay Z & Beyonce Was Not At KimYe Wedding
(AllHipHop News) Kanye West has called Jay Z his “Big Brother” but did could not call him his Best Man. During an interview with Australian radio station KIIS 106.5, Kris Jenner explained her theory as to why Jay Z and Beyonce did not attend the wedding.
Beyonce and Jay Z were reportedly in the Hamptons during the Memorial Day weekend and did not attend Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s May 24th wedding. According to Jenner, she assumed that their busy working schedules kept them from attending:
There was so much commotion and excitement, I never gave it a second thought. I know they sent really nice wishes to Kanye and Kim. I just assumed they were working.
The wedding came less than two weeks after news of Jay Z and Solange Knowles’ infamous elevator altercation at a MetGala afterparty surfaced. Beyonce was the only one of the two to publicly provide her congratulations to the newly wedded couple in an Instagram post.

Rapper Gravy Arrested For Domestic Violence, 911 Call Released
(AllHipHop News) Jamal Woolard, who acted as Biggie Smalls in the 2009 film Notorious was arrested at his home in Gwinnett County, Georgia this past Saturday (June 7th) over domestic violence charges.
Woolard, also known as the rapper Gravy, allegedly accosted his girlfriend in front of her son.
The rapper, who has no released music since 2009’s Notorious Gravy mixtape was arrested after his girlfriend’s son called 911. The child told 911 informed the 911 operator that he overheard his mom “making choking sounds” and told Gravy “F*** you n****, I’m tired of you disrespecting my mom.”
According to TMZ, Woolard was charged with battery, child cruelty, assault and was ordered to stay away from his wife and stepson.

As you know, Nipsey has been hustling hard in the last few years, particularly, getting accolades for his independent spirit. All of this has gotten the attention of the “boss” Ricky Ross, according to my sources. They tell me Rozay feels he can augment what Nipsey is currently doing from city to city, state to state. He might be right. I’d like to know what Nipsey’s state of mind is since he’s been doing so well on his own. What sort of deal could Ross present to make him get back on a major?

Stevie J Arrested On Camera For Owing $1 Million In Child Support (VIDEO)
(AllHipHop News) Stevie J had a private moment in his life caught on tape and Mona Scott Young was not behind the camera. The Love N Hip Hop star was arrested for owing over $1 million in unpaid child support.
Back in February, Stevie J was served a subpoena to appear in Family Court over unpaid child support payments in connection to a child he conceived with Carol Bennett. According to reports, Stevie J and Bennet had their children in 1997 and 1998, however Stevie stopped paying child support back in 2001, two years after he was court ordered to pay.
Stevie J’s child support payments were initially $6,600 but reportedly increased to $850,000 as the producer began to attain more fame. Stevie J was arrested by police in Georgia and will have to face criminal charges in New York City.

Tracy Morgan's Fiancé Denies Leg Amputation Rumors + MORE
(AllHipHop News) In secrecy comes misinformation and Tracy Morgan’s fiancé is attempting to eradicate fabricated news reports. In a statement released to the press, Megan Wollover denies recent rumors about Morgan’s conditions and pleads with the media.
Yesterday (June 9th), rumors circulated that Morgan would have to have his leg amputated due to the severity of his injuries sustained during last Saturday’s six vehicle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike. Before stating that “rumors about amputating his leg are completely fabricated”, the statement revealed that Wollover would like for the media to not report inaccurate stories during this arduous time:
The concern for his well-being has been overwhelming, but Megan is respectfully asking that the media await official word through these channels before speculating (mostly inaccurately) on his condition
Police reports state that the driver of the Walmart truck that crashed into Morgan’s party limo had not slept in over 24 hours. Comedian James McNair (Jimmy Mack) was killed in the crash.

The timing of the release coincided with her death because Propane, Rocko’s business partner, suggested the idea. Rock continues by stating …

Hip Hop Rumors: Behind The Scenes Drama Of The BET Awards
The damn show hasn’t even started and there’s already a bunch of backstage drama.
MediaTakeout reports that a reliable source shared with them that the show is already “changing s*** around,” due to trying to accommodate bigger stars.
“The BET awards are forever changing sh*t around – performers, announcers even the entire layout at the last minute to accommodate for bigger name stars. Anywho, August Alsina was in talks for performing up until last week. They fit him into schedule and everything . . . until CB got released and (BET Awards head) Stephen Hill was quick to call Chris people to arrange a surprise performance of Loyal and Show me. Stephen isn’t stupid, he knows Chris’s first time performance out of jail will bring in viewers.
Long story short August (even tho he’s cool with CB) thinks their energy is too similar and it’s his time now – and the producers will have to make a choice. [So he’s NOT going to be performing].
Same thing for [Nicki] Minaj. She’s on this urban show tour to reintroduce herself as a serious rapper and does not want Iggy performing. But Stephen wants to capitalize off the buzz she has right now, on the flip side he doesn’t want to alienate Nicki and her crew….”

During an interview with Hot 97, Troy Ave stated that Kendrick Lamar was a “Weirdo rapper” and explained that while Kendrick was raised in the hood “it’s a difference between being from an area and being in the streets.” Kendrick’s response was succinct and revealed how little of Troy Ave he knows:
“I never met him, I never really focused on his music,”
Weeks ago, reports surfaced that Kendrick purchased a $524,000 4-bedroom home in Eastvale, CA. The news is real, but Kendrick explains how it does not give the full picture of what his plans for the property is:
It’s real, but it’s not my spot. I really like to buy property whether it’s apartments, whether it’s buildings, whether it’s houses. I like to stay in L.A. I still live in L.A. in a small little apartment condo in L.A. I like to invest my money in different things rather than buying things for the moment. Something that can last me a lifetime.
Lamar also confirms that Dr. Dre will be working on his untitled sophomore album. While Kendrick does say he can not confirm if Detox will be released he does state that the $3 billion sale of Beats by Dre to Apple will not stop Dre’s musical output:
One thing about Dre is you can’t take the music away from him. No matter how much money he has he’s going to be right there in that studio. That’s before the deal, after the deal, he’s always locked in that studio.

Finally some summertime heat that we can ride to! Dee Goodz is gearing up to drop his debut album “Family. Friends. Money,” through Launch Point Records later this summer. I heard this song in a studio listening session and this was one of many standout tracks. Be on the look out for Dee’s first single called “Real Thing,” which is due to drop in mid to late July.
