Slim Dunkin, an affiliate of Gucci’s Bricksquad 1017, was killed at an East Atlanta recording studio in 2011. At the time the 24-year-old was preparing to shoot a music video with Gucci Mane before he was shot over a piece of candy.

Vinson “Young Vito” Hardimon was arrested for Slim’s killing but was acquitted of the murder charge. Hardimon was convicted of aggravated assault and possession and sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Vito’s attorney recently requested a judge to consider reducing his sentence to 10 years stating that Hardimon should not have been convicted off aggravated assault if he was found not guilty of murder. The lawyer also revealed that a hit has been placed on Vito’s life.

Hip-Hop Rumors: LaTocha Scott Working on Spinoff Show?

Y’all know Latocha Scott from Xscape. She resurfaced again on R&B Divas (season two), where she was consistent with the Nicci Gilbert side eyes. Anyway, season three is in the work’s but LaTocha Scott’s name was absent from TV One’s cast announcement but that might be a good thing for her.

Word on the street is, she and her husband Rocky Bivens, another music industry OG, have been pitching a spinoff show about their lives. The show would follow them in their marriage, as business partners (since Rocky manages LaTocha) trying to revitalize LaTocha’s music career, and raising their teenage son who according to Derrick Rose, their family friend,  has a good shot at making it to the NBA.

If all goes their way, they might end up on the Vh1 circuit but that still remains to be seen because nothing is set in stone just yet.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Did People Get Fired Over #AskRKelly?

#AskRKelly

Mannnnnn…that R. Kelly situation on release day Tuesday was such a blasted fiasco, I am hearing people are on the chopping block. R. Kelly is put out by RCA Records and his new album, Black Panties, has people talking a lot. But, some of this is for all the wrong reasons. Read below if you have been under a rock.

Hip-Hop Rumors: #AskRkelly Gets R. Kelly DRY ROASTED On Twitter

Anyway, I am hearing, whoever came up with this #AskRKelly is getting let go, because the debacle produced such a negative ripple of press for Kellz. It simply reacquainted people with golden showers and other such behavior. I’m hearing the album is pretty good. Maybe Kellz will split a bit from his past.
