(AllHipHop News) Some artists send out emails to journalists, others forgo press entirely, Game uses Instagram as his press conference. After starting Rolex Records with Stat Quo in late December, legal battles with the luxury watch company Rolex has forced him to change the label’s name.
Do you believe in Bodega? Well lots of their fans do and that’s what makes any live show that they perform in so freakin impressive! They are interactive with their crowds in a way that many artists today don’t bother to try to do.
We aren’t sure if it’s that they don’t don’t know how to pull it off or they simply don’t care anymore about artistry period, but rappers should really take a chapter out of the Bodega Brovas book because when you pay for a show as a fan you want to be entertained. These guys do it with a fervor that is not easily beaten. Not by a long shot.
But even doper than that is the actual music they put forth. The passion they exude on stage is what so completely compliments the bars they drop in the studio. These kids are wild with it, but in a fun way that allows the listener to take the journey with them.
A Bodga Brovas fan is not only able to quote the jokes and punchlines on a Bodega track, they understand the depths and the meanings in the music as well. This is so because there are no smoke and mirror tricks with these guys. Bodega Brovas make the music they want to listen to nothing more nothing less. If only more artists saw it that way what a Hip Hop Utopia this could be!
Check out some examples of what we mean in the videos below!
(AllHipHop News) Either Europe is killing him or Frank Ocean needs to take it easy on his vocal chords as he has canceled his second European tour for vocal problems.
According to a statement from LiveNation, Ocean suffered “a small tear to one of his vocal chords”:
After last night’s concert in Melbourne at Festival Hall, it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show.
Frank’s “tight tour schedule” will prevent him from making replacement dates, however LiveNation is “working to confirm a return to Australia as soon as is practical” and refunding tickets for those shows.
This is the second time in less than a year that the channel ORANGE singer has canceled tour dates due to vocal problems. In August of 2012, Ocean canceled his European tour, which included opening for Coldplay because “a tough decision had to be made in regard to my schedule over the next months,” according to the singer’s statement. Prior to making this announcement, Ocean ended a performance at Oya festival in Norway after four songs due to losing his voice according to organizers of the festival.

(AllHipHop News) Mark Zuckerberg didn’t know what 50 Cent looked like in 2005 but that could be attributed to being an anti-social genius spending all his waking hours to creating Facebook. However, mistaking the only Black person at a party as a waiter is an enitrely different story.
Author Katherine Rosman recently tweeted her 2008 Wall Street Journal story on a time when a well established author mistakenly believed the then Illinois state senator was a waiter a party of “the New York media elite” back in 2003:
But what I will always remember is as I was leaving that party in 2003, I was approached by another guest, an established author. He asked about the man I had been talking to. Sheepishly he told me he didn’t know that Obama was a guest at the party, and had asked him to fetch him a drink.
President Obama spoke of his own experiences with racial profiling during a recent speech in the wake of the Trayvon Martin murder case verdict.
(AllHipHop News) Fifty grand might not be anything to a person like Jay-Z, but lost scholarships and play eligibility are sort of important to college players. Luckily, the South Carolina Gamecocks deemed defensive end Jadeveon Clowney’s reported “regular contact” with Jay-Z as ok.
According to a handwritten statement by the South Carolina’s assistant director of athletics for media relations, Steve Fink, none of the contact between emerging sports agent Jay-Z and Clowney was against NCAA rules:
“Based on the facts that USC has gathered, Jadeveon Clowney has not had any impermissible conversations nor has he received any impermissible benefits,”
While improper contact between sports agents and collegiate athletes has been an epidemic for decades, NCAA rules allow contact as long as the agent pays for nothing for the player during the contact, including meals and transportation.
MouthToEars is reporting this one so I’m just going to give it up.

Ciara and Future have been hot and heavy on public and instagram appearances since Ciara announced her love life to the world. In the studio, performing or on vacation these two are seem inseparable but… no matter how in “LUST” you are, Future still has responsibilities, for example… CHILD SUPPORT – DUH!!!!
Instead of making his payments, rumor has it that Future and Ciara just got married!!!
Word is that Future was on the phone with his baby mama and while she was screaming at him in her best baby mama voice “WHERE IS MY CHILD SUPPORT”, this guy’s response is “Me and Ciara got married, spiritually and we will make it official soon.” And since these two didn’t have any “spiritual” rings at the time this union happen.
