The Grape Street Crips in Memphis are teaming up with a group of the KKK to fight another group of the Klan….
What the?
Yeah, the Ku Klux Klan is joining forces with the Crips to stop the rally of another facet of the Ku Klux Klan, who want to march over a park naming (or something). The “real” KKK says these other dudes are just frauds pretending to be the real White Supremacists. Soooooo…what do these KKK’s do to prove they are realer racists? They team up with some gang bangers that kill other Black men, to get some other racist White men…that seem to be pretty nice to Black men that kill Black men…but…not.the.rest.of.us….ahhhhhhh this is too weird for words. The Crips couldn’t find some Bloods to join forces with? Here is the video report and don’t forget to check out the video at the end of the page for the KO!
I thought cats didn’t fight anymore? Well, that’s not the case in some places. Like, for one everybody is selling their guns in buyback programs were they can get a couple bucks. The rest of us cannot afford to buy a gun. And then there are some that just have to let them things go for personal reasons. Apparently, a kid and his moms boyfriend had a conflict and…lets just say somebody got knocked out twice before they hit the ground.
You can’t be doing all that talking, mannnnnnnnnnnnn!

(AllHipHop News) The Roots drummer and music producer Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson is about to join other Hip-Hop legends-turned-authors like LL Cool J, Eminem, and Common when he releases his memoir Mo’ Meta Blues: The World According to Questlove on June 18th by Grand Central Publishing.
The book, co-written with New Yorker editor Ben Greenman, will be a mixture of autobiographical stories and Thompson’s take on Hip-Hop, pop culture, and music in general.

Mo’ Meta Blues is “a punch-drunk memoir in which everyone’s favorite Questlove tells his own story while tackling some of the lates, the greats, the fakes and the true originals of the music world,” according to a press a release.
The man behind the production of songs by D’Angelo, Erykah Badu, and Bilal has been busy in other areas besides authoring a book. Questlove is teaching a classic albums course at New York University, and he has also been working with his Roots crew to produce a joint project with British rock icon Elvis Costello before the band drops their next album tentatively titled & Then You Shoot Your Cousin.
The Roots are currently the house band on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Their last studio LP, 2011’s concept album Undun, was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 55th annual Grammy Awards.
The Roots will also be a part of the stellar line-up for the Prince tribute at Carnegie Hall on March 7.

I told you this was on the horizon.
I was a bit off, because there has been no formal convo from Kool Herc or Bam, who I was told would actually do the speaking. But, the Zulu Nation is stepping up. Wonder what this will turn into, if anything.
Mr. O’Denat,
On behalf of the thousands of members of the Universal Zulu Nation, of which I am Minister Of Information, I write you this letter in peace and hope these words find you in the best of health and spirits. Brother, we at UZN have the utmost respect and love for all who choose to take our Culture to new heights, and we thank you for your part in creating new media that preserves our culture. It is with great sadness that we bring to your attention the obvious ills of your site, WorldStarHipHop.com. Mister O’Denat, you are well aware, or should be well aware that many are viewing your site’s content as very graphic and extremely violent. Before you brush this off as just another person’s opinion of your site and
the content you publish, please do not get it confused. This is not the case.As I mentioned earlier, Mr. O’Denat, I am a representative of the Universal Zulu Nation, and we take our Culture quite serious. You are a Black man who has accomplished quite a lot without a formal education, and I’m quite sure when you dropped out of New York’s Grover Cleveland High School, you would never have imagined that you’d be as successful with your company, World Star, LLC. Doesn’t it bother you just a little that another Black man (that man being yourself), has “made it” out of the “ghetto”, only to display unnerving images and videos of young adults berating, belittling, and beating each other solely for the purpose of the enjoyment of who you are led to believe are “millions of Hip-Hoppers?”
Mr. O’Denat, the followers of your site are impressionable young men and women who “follow” you for a reason. As salacious as you may want your site to be, our youth are looking for answers and solutions to the many problems that plague our communities. The young people use your site as an outlet to escape the world they are living in, only to find that you place them right back at the starting point. Brother, you are well aware, or should be aware of the way Haitians are treated all over the world, including their own country. After all, Mr. O’Denat, you are Haitian, and you have even labeled yourself as a “Haitian Ghetto Nerd”, to gain God knows what kind of accolades. I am not Haitian, but I find it deplorable for a Haitian to associate such a dignified people with the “ghetto”, when Haitians come to this country to escape ghetto life.
Brother, I am sure you heard God speaking to you when the earthquakes in Haiti destroyed so many lives, and many of us di a fair share of work to help those in need. The repair for the damage done physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially will be an ongoing process that will take decades. But one of the brilliant brothers of Haitian decent is instead showering the world with what you call “the CNN of the Ghetto”. Brother, you are sadly mistaken if you would like the world to believe that hype. If you understand journalism 101, news is reported with two sides. Your excerpts of ghetto life, your lack of morality when accepting uploaded material, and your drive to maintain a site for the sole intent to destroy our Culture’s standing in these Americas is both uncouth and unacceptable by all of us at UZN. We are hereby separating ourselves and our followers from your site and what it supposedly stands for. Brother, if you were in fact the “CNN of the ghetto”, then you, as a former resident of Queens, NY should already know who Zulu is and what real Hip-Hop Culture is. Mr. O’Denat, there are many real Hip-Hoppers from Queens who laid the brick in the wall that you are trying to tear down.
You should already know about Run-DMC, Larry Smith, Salt-N-Pepa, Nas, MC Shan, LL Cool J and the founders of FUBU Clothing, to name a new. These men and women purposed to create a platform of expression for our Culture, and through the years, they have maintained and preserved that Culture. Mr. O’Denat, you are a Haitian, so you should know how serious Haitians are about their Culture. We are just as serious.
This is a new year, and the Universal Zulu Nation has begun a movement against anyone who is against us. Mr. O’Denat, either you are for Hip-Hop Culture, or you are not. There is no in-between, and no matter how many people have hyped you to believe that WorldStarHipHop is anything close to what this Culture is, they told you a lie. Mr. O’Denat, Hip-Hop Culture is FOUNDED on four spiritual principles. In case you haven’t already been schooled on what those principles are, they are: Peace, Unity, Love and Havin’ Fun. Mr. O’Denat, I pray that you do become a “CNN of the ghetto”, and that you someday get a camera and go to the ghetto yourself to record both sides of our neighborhoods. We still do have neighborhoods, brother.
Mr. O’Denat, can you imagine how much more hits WorldStarHipHop would have if you were intuitive enough to record rising Black political stars and activists, and some of the issues they discuss when trying to fix our problems nationwide? Or videos of Black political superstars like Barack and Michelle Obama. I would have loved to see the behind-the-scenes footage of the President at home with the wife and kids – on your website. I invite you to meet me in The Bronx, Boston, Virginia, The Carolinas, Chicago, DC, Maryland, Detroit, or any place that you feel more comfortable, so we may discuss the realities of “the ghetto” and how you can be better involved.
Mr. O’Denat, in closing I am asking you to remove the footage of the young man being forced to strip naked outside while people look on and another young man beats him with a belt while the camera man pours water on his fully naked body.
This is the link in question, Mr, O’Denat:
This is not the first time you have posted content that has been of this nature, and from the looks of it, this is probably Child Pornography. Therefore, I will forward the link and the video to the proper authorities to be sure that these young people are in fact of age and in full consent of being on your site in such a demeaning fashion. I’m unsure if this will bring about any charges, as there is a huge rumor on the streets that you are in fact working for the feds and are using your site as a cover up. But who knows? Mr. O’Denat, I again ask that you look into the fact that you and your site have misused our Culture’s name, committed fraud and falsely advertised your site as “Hip-Hop”. You have forced the hand of the Universal Zulu Nation to take further action should you continue to promote your “CNN of the ghetto” as “Hip-Hop”, and we are asking with all due respect that you include a disclaimer at the bottom of the front page of your website concerning your company and Hip-Hop Culture. A great
footnote on your site should be:“World Star Hip-Hop is in no way affiliated with real Hip-Hop Culture or its’ founders or the Universal Zulu Nation. This site solely for entertainment purposes, and does not promote Hip-Hop Culture”
Mr. O’Denat, you are free to use the above language, or you may use any language you see fit that parallels the language above. Please contact me at your earliest convenience, should you have any questions or concerns. I can be reached at qu****************@***il.com or 617-297-7423.
Respectfully,
Quadeer “M.C. Spice” Shakur
Minister of Information

(AllHipHop News) Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle, two of the most successful comedians of all time, joined forces last night (February 27) at The Comedy Cellar in New York City, and the stand-up veterans teased the crowd with the news that they may be taking their two-for-one comedy show on tour together.
The Comic’s Comic was in the house as Rock and Chappelle took the stage together. CC reports that what was originally a surprise 45-minute set by Chappelle became an even bigger shock when Rock joined him to perform.
“Aw, you lucky motherfu**ers ,” Rock told the audience.
After the duo cracked on Kevin Hart, Prince, President Obama, and unsuccessfully tried to text Jay-Z about meeting later for spaghetti dinner, Chappelle suggested that the hour-long performance may be the perfect combination for an extended tour.
[ALSO READ: Kevin Hart and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to Appear on Saturday Night Live]
“This could be the show,” said Chappelle.
“I’m in,” responded Rock.
Chappelle continued with the prospect of a joint tour, and Rock mentioned that he is about to start working on a new film, but he may have some time to sneak in a Rock-Chappelle supershow.
“After next Tuesday, I’m free for like eleven years,” joked Chappelle.
“I’ve got time between now and the movie,” replied Rock. “By Halloween, I could do dates.”
This is not the first time a Rock/Chappelle tour has been brought up.
Rumors began circulating in October of 2011 that the tour could happen, then in May of 2012 Rock spoke with New York magazine telling the publication, “I’ve been talking to Chappelle a lot. Been trying to get Chappelle to go on tour.”
Without a formal announcement it is still just speculation whether last night’s Rock-Chappelle routine was a preview to one of the biggest comedy tours in history or just a once in a lifetime experience.
Vice magazine has an interesting theory on Kanye West’s recent behavior. Basically, they are suggesting that he is acting crazy in order to promote his looming new album seemingly called “Black American Psycho.” Only thing is…Kanye never said that. Here’s what they say:
Remember when Joaquin Phoenix went off the rails? Back in 2010 the actor-turned-rapper fooled David Letterman (and the world) into thinking that he’d fallen off the track and ditched an Academy Award nominating and Golden Globe winning career for a beard, drugs and a lazy flow.Except, they were wrong. Phoenix wasn’t who he claimed to be. He was still the same old guy. He’d just been exercising a lesson in extended method acting for an albeit average new film. With Kanye’s recent plethora of very public breakdowns, could he be heading down the same route?
Back last year a school kid convinced the internet that Kanye’s new record was going to be called Black American Pyscho. Although the site that the kid set up was later found to be a hoax, the unconfirmed name runs parallel with Kanye’s current persona. Is Kanye crazy? Or does he want everyone to think that he is? He announced in Paris that we can expect new material within the next two months. Could Kanye be setting up a hyper-characterization for his new record? Let’s take a look…
For the recent run of shows he’s been bounding about in a strait-jacket. I get that artists have to advance and Kanye wasn’t going to be wearing a pink polo forever. But, the transition from Yeezy 2’s to a strait-jacket doesn’t happen without reasoning. Kanye is a perfectionist so you best be betting your bottom dollar that he’s got a load of reasoning bottled away for the return back to his indulgent, conceptual solo efforts.

They got Trump good with this one.
Gotta give Odd Future their props for this one.
Goofs!
But the description Trump put on Twitter is too funny because he really seems clueless. And, what’s crazy is that…Rick Ross’ new song is call “I’m Donald Trump.”
And I’m kidding.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But, it seems that somebody is confirming that Coco has real nude pictures coming out. I guess this ain’t no big deal if it ain’t in the context of her as a married woman. But it is. The latest is there is somebody named Pam Nikki Baker and she has confirmed that there are actual pictures of Coco naked as taken by AP.9. Seems like there are several and they are off the booty and some other play. AP.9 is looking to charge Ice-T for the pics or else they are going to go to the media.
Ahhhhhhh….this some BS. Here is the vid.

YES! KANYE SAID THIS!
“I am Michael Angelo. I am Basquiat. I am Walt Disney. I am Steve Jobs. Of this music s###? Please!?”
“And there’s no motherf***ing awards or sponsorships or none of that s**t that can stop the dedication to bringing y’all that real s**t.”
“No matter how they try to control you, or the motherf***er next to you tries to peer pressure you, or try to get the best of you, or see what you did and take the rest of you, you can do what you motherf***ing want.”
Here is the video:

I’m starting to love Kanye again!!!! GO-OFF-A-GO-OFF!
HE SAID NO
Well, I knew there was SOMING TO THE RUMORS! A ways back, I had posted that Jay-Z was looking to get the young BK rep. Well, there was some debunking of that rumor and it sort of went away… all we really knew was that he wasn’t signing. But, the young spit doc revealed that he straight turned it down.

(AllHipHop News) Shareholders of the entertainment company Live Nation had some things to cheer and jeer this week, after the corporation’s financial statements were released Tuesday afternoon.
According to Billboard, the multimedia conglomerate saw its revenue rise 8% last year. That’s equates to a $5.8 billion haul, but the company’s net lost doubled from $83 million in 2011 to $163 million in 2012.
Most of those losses are the result of former chairman Irving Azoff and 26 other employees’ departures from Live Nation last December.
Live Nation Entertainment, Inc is the world’s biggest concert promoter and ticket seller. The company was created when Live Nation and Ticketmaster merged in 2010.
The merger was highly contested by artists, music fans, members of Congress, and major tech companies like Google, Microsoft, and eBay who believed the new mega-company consisting of artist management, music recording, ticket sales, and promotion would monopolize the music industry and drive up ticket prices.
Live Nation’s Ticketmaster division’s revenue grew 4% to $1.37 billion with the value of tickets sold through Ticketmaster increasing 8.4%. The total number of tickets sold rose 4.5% to 147.7 million in 2012.
The Artist Nation music unit (which is home to Madonna, U2, and Jay-Z and his Roc Nation label) saw an operating lose in 2012. Again, $5.5 million of those loses were attributed to the departure of Azoff. Another $62.7 million was a one-time charge to bring down the value of Artist Nation as compared to its projected value at the time of the merger.
According to Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino 2013 is already off to a great start for the company. Over 9 million tickets for shows this year have already been sold which is a 58% increase from last year. Ticketmaster is opening offices in Asia and Latin America and will be adding music festivals to its lineup.
“During 2012, the company increased revenue by 8 percent and grew all our business segments while continuing to invest in our long-term ticketing platform,” said Rapino in a statement. “Looking forward to 2013, I am confident that we will continue the successful growth of the core business.”
Carrying the torch for a new generation of Gangsta Rap is Compton Menace. As his name states, this emcee hails from Compton, California – a city that several Gangsta Rap pioneers, such as MC Eiht and N.W.A., also call home. Signed to fellow Compton-representer Game’s Black Wall Street Records, Menace has developed a buzz this year with his Menace II Society mixtape series. The series began in May and continued most recently in November with the release of Volume 2, which features Wiz Khalifa, Cassidy, Birdman, Ace Hood, and the aforementioned Game.
As Compton Menace explains, the street story tales that he tells in his rhymes come from real-life experiences of his. Similar to how Game helped him discover the prospects of a career in music years ago, away from the street life he’d grown accustomed to, Menace hopes to share his journey with peers from his neighborhood.
AllHipHop.com: Tell us about your upbringing and earliest experiences with music.
Compton Menace: As a kid, I grew up in the church and that was kind of where I started with music… with the instruments and playing drums. When I was 14-15, that’s when I really started getting into Scarface and the other influences of mine that I was listening to. As far as my career goes, it was around 2006 when I had a couple issues with the law that made me focus all my energy toward music.
My first time being in the studio was really just messing around. I was on the road with Game, the beat came on, and he was telling me that he could hear me on it. I was just a young dude playing around. When we finally did the record I was like “Oh, ok, now I know what you were talking about.” It was serious, like, man, “That’s me right there.”
AllHipHop.com: A line of yours that stood-out to me from your song “For My Real N#####”:
Yeah I sold a couple grams but I was tryna make a way, my son runnin’ ‘round them acres let that lil n#### play
You mentioned having had a couple issues with the law. Has your involvement in the streets influenced your music?
Compton Menace: It definitely influenced my music, just because of the simple fact that a lot of people go through the stuff that we do as far as being involved with the police, drugs, or negative people. I just try to bring that out, because everybody goes through it and it’s something people can relate to.
AllHipHop.com: How has the development of your career in music changed your involvement in the streets?
Compton Menace: I’m not doing the same things anymore. When I do something that I take a likening to, I put my all into it. So I don’t have time to go sit on the block and sell drugs or do the stuff that I was doing before, because I’ve got a new focus. I’m a different person. I’ve had issues with a couple friends that I grew up and did stuff with because we don’t do the same things anymore. A lot of dudes fall into a bad situation by not keeping it real with people, like telling somebody something and not going through with it. For instance, I could tell one of my friends that I’m coming to hang out with them Friday, and then Friday comes and they don’t hear from me. Or [alternatively], I could say I’m gonna come pick them up Friday, and I could actually come pick them up, bring ‘em to my world, let ‘em hang out and at the end of the day we go our different ways. But that way they respect what I’m doing because I kept my word and did what I told them I was gonna do, as opposed to telling them something and not coming through with it. I feel like that messes up a whole lot of rappers careers too, by not keeping it real.
AllHipHop.com: Do you feel like it’s a responsibility of yours to show some of the younger cats that look up to you an alternative from their everyday life in Compton?
Compton Menace: Oh yeah, it’s a big responsibility. I’ve been on the road for a month now, moving around promoting and getting videos knocked out. I’ve got a couple dudes with me from my neighborhood, just to show them that there’s more going on than what’s in Compton and Watts, or L.A. and California. I try as much as I can, with everybody that’s got a level head, to show them that there’s more to do out here in the world. I know that they’re thankful for that just by the way that they react.
AllHipHop.com: We have your brand new video with Wiz Khalifa here for people to watch. What are some other upcoming releases people should be checking for from Compton Menace?
Compton Menace: I’ve got Menace II Society Volume 3 coming out soon! I shot the video with Birdman, it’s called “It Ain’t My Fault” that’ll be coming soon. I was in Texas, I’ve got a song with Trae the Truth that we shot the video to. I’ve got a song with Bow Wow that we shot the video to. Everything else falls into place.
Stay tuned to AllHipHop.com for the release of Menace II Society Volume 3 coming soon.
