In the name of Obama, I command Dame Dash to do that which I did all last night. Celebrated!
We did it!
JAY-Z AND BEYONCE ARE PLANNING BLU IVY’S PARTY!
Earlier this year Baby Blue Ivy Carter was born. She’s already got a hit single on her hands with poppa Jay-Z. But, word on the street is that B and J are working on Baby Blue’s first birthday. The kid is only 10 months old. Can you believe it? It seems forever, but she was really born in January of this year. Beyonce and Jigga man are fast working on the 1st birthday for the lil’ princess. I heard the guest list will be magnificent. Somebody even suggested Obama may show up, but I don’t think that will happen. Anyway, this has apparently been a difficult process for the Carters.
It looks like Nas is focused! I heard a very good rumor about the god. I’m hearing that he’s already working on his next album and he’s got a whole bus load of raps! Now, i don’t know if this is literal, but it seems close to real. Since, Nas has one of the best albums this year, its good to see that he’s about to bust out with another album next year. Did I say that? Yeah, I’m hearing that Nas is going to be hitting us upside the head with his next album next summer.
I’m down!
ALSO, Nas and his dad Olu are in a new gap commercial for the holiday season!
With the re-election of President Barack Obama, we’re celebrating around these parts! But, so is the rest of the nation and world, unless of course you wanted Mittens to win. That said, people celebrate and rejoice in a variety of ways. The ‘Net has a penchant for the humorous and provocative so we plucked some images and put them together in this montage of epic pictures.
(AllHipHop News) Despite a divided country and a narrow margin in the popular vote, America chose last night to re-elect President Barack Obama to his second term in office.
Throughout the election process, rappers and entertainers throughout the Hip-Hop world reacted to the race for re-election by encouraging the youth to vote and nearly all rappers in the industry were in support for Obama throughout the process.
On Election day this year, youth and minorities set record levels for voter turnout, as youth voters increased from 18% to 19% and a little over 49% of eligible youth showed up to vote according to MTV News.
“It feels even better the secoond time around!!!! “#obama2012,” Diddy Tweeted
“Romney lost his birthplace (MI), the state he governed (MA), the other states he has houses in (CA, NH) and his VP’s home state (WI,” John Legend said via Twitter.
“OBAMA. 2012-2016 is yours,” California rapper Game told his followers
“All the blacks goin up kuz my n#### #Obama got 4 more years , #400,” YG said from his Twitter account Yg400 @YG
Important to Obama’s victory were the so-called “swing states” that could have been won by the either party in close races in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida and others.
“Obama Won!” Mac Miller proclaimed after his home state of Pennsylvania went blue for Democrat.
“I knew Ohio would come through #Obama,” Ohio’s Stalley told his followers from his account @Stalley.
While the country is clearly divided on several issues, Obama has already made it clear that he plans to reach across the isle to get more done in his second term by working with the Republicans and by choosing a diverse group of people for his Presidential Cabinet.

A few weeks back, we heard about 40 Glocc officially suing the Game for beating him up over the summer.
Related: Hip-Hop Rumors: Yikes! 40 Glocc Sues The Game Over Beatdown!
Well now that Game has officially been served with the papers, he is now claiming that 40 Glocc is lying about getting jumped and also lying about him having a gun. Check out what he told Funk Master Flex on Hot 97 last night:
I smashed him, smashed him. You gotta break it down, man, you gotta break it down. I smashed him. He said he got smashed. Little fabrication in there, he said we pulled weapons out and he got jumped. We’ll be back, man. Don’t worry about it.”
Can’t the court and police use Game’s interviews and tweets admitting to beating up 40 Glocc against him in court? Well, that’s not stopping Game, because he’s been tweeting up a storm and threatening to “beat 40’s *ss again & again.”
In a tweet that has been deleted, Game tweeted, “Called police & a lawyer cuz I beat yo azz. SuperCrip got his cape snatched !!!”
Not very smart, Game. Check out his interview with Funk Flex below:
Sidenote: A rep for The Game told TMZ that he feels the lawsuit is “bulls**t” and he plans to fight the case in court.
Although Dame Dash is still mum on whether or not he and Jay-Z still speak, he gave a very telling interview to our girl, Sharon Carpenter, over at Global Grind, that revealed he and Jay-Z still have a lot of personal issues to resolve. So many issues that Dame suggests that only TV help guru Dr. Phil can help them repair their friendship.
Check out what he said below:
“All we did is made a company together and sold the company and went and did other businesses. Why can’t two black people do that? Like, that happens all the time. Like, it was a business arrangement obviously. And we do two different kinds of businesses, right? The business we did, we made a lot of money. All good. You know what I’m saying? Maybe what you might want to ask is about the friendship, what happened with that, but that’s more personal. I need Dr. Phil for that one.
In the interview, Dame does a good job of staying politically correct…for the most part, and you can tell that he’s definitely a lot more mature now than he was when he and Jay were in the thick of things. But he is Dame Dash isn’t he? You don’t expect him to change that much! Dame is still taking credit for Jay and Kanye West’s success.
Check out what he said about it below:
“[Did I make any mistakes?] Not at all, look at Jay-Z, look at everything, look at Kanye, every success they’ve had I’m proud of. Every time I see them on television, I know what I did. You know in life, there’s tragedies, everyone has them, so even through the tragedies, I was able to deal with my tragedies in a way that other people usually can’t. You understand what I’m saying? I’m doing what I want right now. I still feel crispy. Somebody told you [me and Jay are still cool?] I’m going to leave that one a mystery. I have nothing but positive things to say about him. He’s doing well. I think he’s doing good, what he wants to be, he is and that’s what counts.”
Bro, if you have to answer a question about you a Jay being cool by saying that you want to “keep it a mystery,” chances are, you guys are no longer cool. Am I right?! Don’t get me wrong, though, I like Dame. He’s a hustler! Plus, I think he got the raw end of the stick in that Roc-A-Fella situation. Glad to see that he’s doing well!
You can check out the full interview below:
Did Dame really ask if the IRS was listening when Sharon Carpenter asked him to name all of his businesses? He is too much! You see, that’s exactly why Jay-Z can’t mess with you!
Stacy is taking Mitt Romney’s loss hard and has written a 1,000-word letter to TMZabout her election “depression.” This chick is crazy. I guess she got all beauty and no brains.
The 8-0 Atlanta Falcons have shown the NFL another great series of Falcon football games this season. With the addition of 10-year veteran Asante Samuel, the Dirty Birds are dead set on a comeback.
AllHipHop.com got a chance to talk with the star cornerback on one of his well deserved off days. Tune in as Asante speaks on his team’s recent success, offers an inside peek at some of his football and Hip-Hop favorites, as well as a few details on his label and recent ventures as an independent record executive. Check out who Asante voted for early a few days ago (he picked a winner!), and get an insight on his music influences:
AllHipHop.com: Mr. Samuel, I know you’re enjoying a little time to rest. But it’s ELECTION TIME, and I’m allowed to ask! Did you vote? And, if so…
Asante Samuel: Yep, I already voted! I just sent in my vote today. Check out my tweets. (@pick_six22) The last tweet I sent will let you know who I voted for. Again!AllHipHop.com: [laughter] Good, we can retweet that. Congratulations on the 8-0 record! To what do you attribute your team’s run of success this season?Asante Samuel: I attribute that to veteran leadership, the will to win, workin’ hard, and really just belief in one another. We know what we have to do to make it, and possess the ability to make it happen together as a team.AllHipHop.com: So, you’re happy with your decision to make that move and sign with Atlanta?Asante Samuel: Yea definitely, definitely. You know, all good things have to come to an end one day; that’s just life. There’s a plan already set out there for me. I’m just following God’s steps. If one door closes, another one opens. That’s just how it goes.AllHipHop.com: You’re right. No sleep lost. But some say you’ve had an easy schedule, that the Falcons may go 9-0 before seeing any real competition. What do you say about that?Asante Samuel: I mean the losers have plenty to say. We work hard everyday, and a win is a win, so we’ll see about all that next week.AllHipHop.com: But I know that Eagles win was feeling right….Asante Samuel: Oh yeah, for sure. You know that one was feelin’ real good!AllHipHop.com: So what’s the update with Andy Reid? Clearly you have no reason to be upset anymore, but last time you spoke on him… it was tense!Asante Samuel:: It’s all good, man, everything is cool. The situation is all good. I’m just moving on and moving forward. I ain’t really trippin’. Something transpired at the game, and I felt a certain way about it, so I expressed myself. And that was that.AllHipHop.com: If you felt you were wronged, then that has to be respected. So what do you have on your pregame playlist right now?Asante Samuel: Well, I’m an in-house guy, so I listen to a lot of music from the artists on our label; a lot of Young A.C. But definitely some Lil’ Wayne, Jeezy, T.I., Future. I support all those dudes.AllHipHop.com: With that being said, who are your Top Five Rappers Dead or Alive?Asante Samuel: In no particular order, I’m gonna go with ‘Pac, BIG, Trick Daddy, T.I., and Jeezy.AllHipHop.com: A pretty cool list. Who are your top five football players D.O.A.?Asante Samuel: Barry Sanders, Steve Young, Dick “Night Train” Lane, Ronnie Lott, and Marvin Harrison.AllHipHop.com: Definitely a good list! Sports and music have proven to be pretty synonymous, but what urged you to start your own label?Asante Samuel: Well,l I’ve always been into music even though I chose football. I had a lot of friends that were involved in the music industry. I had a friend who could sing really well, and my best friend already had a label started up called Deepside Entertainment that I started helping him out with. When he was incarcerated, I kept it going. He’s still in prison; he got 10 or 11 years. So, running the label began to be my way of giving back to the ‘hood, and creating jobs in a market where young people would just be on the streets, getting into trouble, and going to jail. As a young African American male who made it out of the ‘hood and found success, it’s my way of helping us all move from the bottom.AllHipHop.com: Well put!! Do you rap?Asante Samuel: [laughter] Nahhhhh, I don’t rap. They get me in the booth to talk a little bit, and I help out with all the music at the studio… But nah, I don’t rap. I manage every artist, every track comes to me first, every song, every video is run by me for input. So I’m hands-on involved with the artists on the label. I’m there at the studio all the time.Follow Asante Samuels on Twitter (@pick_six22), and catch his next game against this Sunday (November 11 at 1PM EST) against the New Orleans Saints.
Last time I checked, $2 Million was a fortune, especially if you owe it to somebody else. Well, according to some people in Lil’ Wayne’s camp, 2 Milli is allegedly “small change” to Wezzy F. Baby. The rapper just lost a little over that amount in a lawsuit brought up against him by filmmaker, Quincy Jones III. If you all recall, Wayne allowed him to do a documentary on him, but then bashed the film and said it was defaming his character.

According to one of Lil’ Wayne’s boys, Weezy is not upset about losing the money, but believes that the judge and jury only ruled against him because he didn’t show up to court. Wayne feels like he was punished for being too sick to fly. According to TMZ, Wayne had a “medical emergency” and was ordered by his doctor not to fly, so he could not make his court date.
The judge was not trying to hear that excuse and awarded QD3 with $2,195,000 in lost revenue due to Wayne bad mouthing the indie movie.
Sidenote: Weezy was too sick to fly, but he allegedly drove from Louisiana to Miami to attend a Heat game. Talk about not having your priorities in order.
Rappers have been running to reality TV ever since Flav starred on the “Flavor Of Love”. Actually, they were on reality TV before then, on that VH1 show that had all the washed up celebrities..what was it? Oh yeah, “The Surreal Life”.
Anyway, as you guys have heard, hard-core rapper Game has a new show coming out called “Marrying The Game”. The super trailer was released online yesterday and this morning, I got an opportunity to look at it, and I must say that I believe Game may be the next big reality star!
The rapper comes across as very charismatic in the trailer, and it doesn’t seem like he’s holding anything back from the cameras. Check out the trailer for “Marrying The Game” below:
His fiancée doesn’t look like she lets anything slide, and she seems to be good at putting him in his place when he’s not acting like Jayceon and behaving too much like his alter ego, Game. But doesn’t she look a little old for him? She kind of looks like his mom.
Oh well. I will definitely be watching this show, “Marrying The Game”, which premieres November 19 at 9:30 p.m. EST on VH1. Will you be watching?
Sidenote – Yesterday, The Game was in NYC, and he was doing his part and giving rides to NY’ers to their local polling stations. According to him, he gave free rides to over 60 people and also shelled out $10,000 to 500 stranded NY’ers. Of course, TMZ was there to get it all on camera. Check out the video below:
