(AllHipHop Rumors) Hot 97 is probably the biggest radio station with a purported love of Hip-Hop. The Emmis-owned company has one of the biggest concerts in the year – SUMMER JAM! Summer Jam is always a delight to the New York and New Jersey area. All the hottest acts of today and yesteryear are there too! It is THE grand affair, but it seems like something is awry right now. Like it or not, Tekashi 69 is the biggest new rapper in the town today. It was Cardi B, but now its not. This dude has overcome it all and, even though he has seen his concerts cancelled all over the place, he continues to flourish.
Will he be at Summer Jam though? The logical answer is YES. But the industry answer is “Its Complicated.” If you have noticed, Tekashi and Complex’s DJ Ak are like butt-buddies they are so close (no shade). And Tekashi recently interviewed with Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club” to record-breaking ratings (reportedly). But, I could be wrong, but I don’t remember when they interviewed with Hot 97. Houston, we have a problem.
