American actress and; former pro-athlete, Tiffany Toney wraps production on her feature film “BORA.” The multi-hyphenate producer was the writer, director, and lead alongside actress, Ajima Cole, Zab Judah, Omar Gooding, Noel G, Jasmine Sanders and others!

Tiffany Toney, a former pro softball player and NBC news producer, has transitioned her leadership skills into leading a team of creatives to produce a groundbreaking feature film, “BORA.” Tiffany is a black indigenous woman, born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised in a military household.

Before starring in her own feature, her short film “Jade Rising” won Best U.S. Sci-Fi at the 2019 Venice Shorts film festival. Toney also made an appearance in “LAZARUS,” the 2017 Action Superhero feature, created by her co-producer Sean Riggs (“BOSCH”) and the late R.L. Scott, that landed a deal with Shoreline & Samuel Goldwyn Films as the first TUBI original.

Toney directed the film with a small team of three, including Andre “Chyna” McCoy (The Matrix) and her DP James M. Black (“Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers”), both of whom also acted in the feature film. She wrote the original screenplay with the intention of providing a mental escape for her and her team during the pandemic.

“We were at rock bottom, living out of our cars when we started this….so I took the last of my money and put it into BORA…. everyone thought we were crazy, but I knew ‘BORA’ was special,” Tiffany Toney said.

The story, starring Toney herself, and Ajima Cole, follows Elon, a USC grad student who sets out on a road trip to find herself on “Day of The Dead,” when she meets “BORA,” an Afro-Mexican hitchhiker who aims to free her from the burden of a sheltered life.

Skilled at the art of seduction, “BORA” tempts Elon to try many things for the first time. It’s all fun and games until people start dying.

“BORA is the Freddie or Jason of this generation, but in the form of a sexy, Afro-Mexican female,” Tiffany Toney added.

This fictional story is an “Urban Legend” and the perfect fusion of black & brown culture in LA. The film is accompanied by an original soundtrack produced by Grammy nominated music composer Jason Betts, featuring artists like Terrell, Carter, McGrady OG, ASPECT ZAVI, and Ray J.

Tiffany Toney recently signed with Tribeca One Distribution, which is an official partner of Zero Gravity Management.

The full-length feature can be found on Amazon Prime & is set to hit Tubi TV this June 2023.
