Hip-Hop Rumors: Cast of Bravo’s ‘Blood Sweat and Heels’ Don’t Think Women Can Lead?

A few of the women of “Blood Sweat and Heels” ironically don’t seem to believe that women can lead.

The cast of Bravo’s forthcoming show, “Blood, Sweat and Heels” converged last night to celebrate their show. The room was filled with industry movers and shakers, and even Tyra Banks stopped by to give props to her friend, cast mate Mica Hughes. Other ladies in the cast included Melyssa Ford, Demetria Lucas, Geneva S. Thomas, Brie Bythewood and Daisy Lewellyn. Google those who aren’t familiar, it’s easier that way.

The night went off without a hitch but the drama will start to unfold once these ladies start watching their shenanigans unfold on TV. I got a copy of the first episode and can confirm that writer Demetria Lucas stirs up some drama with a blog post she wrote about some conversations the women had at a brunch.

In short, a lot of the women who are featured on this show–women who are doing well in their careers and business owners in some cases–don’t actually feel that woman can be good leaders.

Say what?

Yup.

Lucas was one of the few women who challenged that notion and things fell apart. You’ll see once the show begins airing on January 5, but it is rather strange that women, on a show about female hustlers headed to the top of their respective games, would reveal that they believe that women are inferior to men when it comes to leadership.

Scratches head.

Good luck with that.
