(AllHipHop News) Gary, Indiana bred rapper and CTE/ESGN artist Freddie Gibbs recently spoke with AllHipHop.com on the set of his video shoot with LRG for the song “The Hard,” a track featured on his Baby Face Killa project released last month with DJ Drama.
Gibbs spoke about the BFK project and took time to let fans know about his upcoming collaborative effort with Madlib titled Mad Gibbs.
The two previously released a five-track EP called Thuggin to critical acclaim, prompting the full length album Mad Gibbs.
“Its gonna be real special. I’m gonna drop another project after that, we just working,” said Freddie Gibbs in an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com. “We have contrasting styles so its like a meeting of two different walks of life but it matches and I know how to rap over his beats.”
Gibbs recently made headlines after founding his new label ESGN.
He expounded on the label’s future during the interview.
“ESGN – I aint gonna tell y’all what it stands for, but its my sh*t I’m pushing, it’s going to be more than music, there’s going to be some films, you will see. Its going to be a buildup to s**t, I just want to do more than just music,” Gibbs explained.
When asked what artists he plans on signing to the imprint, Gibbs kept things simple saying, “Freddie Gibbs, Freddie Gibbs and Freddie Gibbs.”
