(AllHipHop News) Cleveland, Ohio rapper Kid Cudi recently lost custody of his daughter. According to reports, Kid Cudi and the mother of his child had been locked in a bitter custody war, over their daughter. TMZ.com reports that Kid Cudi agreed to let the woman take full custody of their daughter in August. Court documents claim that Kid Cudi had violent tendencies, and was consistently abusing alcohol and drugs. Kid Cudi consented to give up custody of the child, although he does have visitation rights and must pay child support.

Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj capped off a successful year with two awards at the 2012 American Music Awards last night (November 18). Nicki topped her male competitors, to take home the “Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist” award. Later in the evening, Nicki snagged the “Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop” award for her release Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. During the evening, Nicki performed her single “Freedom,” while veteran rapper MC Hammer hit the stage to perform with PSY, who did his hit song “Gangnam Style.” Other winners during the evening included Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Linkin Park, Beyoncé and Rihanna.

West Coast rapper Daz Dillinger is planning the release of his 14th solo album next month. Daz is planning to release the new album Witit Witit via his own independent label Gangsta Advisory. The new album features production by Drumma Boy, Maestro, Mike Will Made It and Daz himself. Artists like 8Ball and Khujo Goodie check in on the release. Daz’ 14th solo album Witit Witit lands in stores December 4.
