Benzino’s Nephew Pleads Not Guilty + Claims He Shot His Uncle In Self-Defense

BENZINO’S NEPHEW PLEADS NOT GUILTY + CLAIMS HE SHOT HIS UNCLE IN SELF DEFENSE

(AllHipHop News) The plot thickens. Today (March 31st), a day after Benzino was allegedly shot by his nephew G## Scott during Benzino’s mother’s funeral procession, G## Scott appeared in court and rendered a not guilty plea while claiming self-defense.

G## Scott appeared in Plymouth District Court earlier today and faced a charged of armed assault with the intent to murder. Scott’s attorney Jon Ciraulo rendered the verdict of not guilty on his client’s behalf and informed The Boston Globe that Scott’s actions were in self-defense:

When the dust settles, this case will be shown to be self-defense

Benzino’s attorney  Martin K. Leppo responded to G## Scott’s self defense claims by stating that G## Scott shooting six shots into Benzino’s car and then chasing him down the highway “doesn’t sound like self-defense to me.’

The cause of the shooting has been reportedly linked to family issues over the management of Bezino’s mother’s land. Maureen Scott, Benzino’s sister and G## Scott’s mother, had her attorney  Christopher B. Coughlin relay her disapproval of Benzino’s actions and makes accusations of ulterior promotional motives for Benzino:

My client and his family, including Maureen [Scott] vehemently deny any accusations that Benzino is making. I would suggest that he [the uncle] has an agenda in utilizing and self-promoting at this time.
