The Lox’s D-Block imprint is gearing up for new projects by two of the groups founding members, to be released next month via Koch Records, the label’s distribution home.
The first and most elaborate of the two will be a new mixtape CD/DVD release by Styles P, which will hit stores on November 11.
The project, titled Phantom Gangster Chronicles, Volume 1 features 9 rare Styles P recordings on the CD side and all new material on the DVD.
The visual portion of the project will offer fans six new Styles P videos as well as interviews and behind the scene footage with some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop.
Phantom Gangster Chronicles will be the first new release by the D-Block co-CEO since the release of his 2007 Koch debut Super Gangster, Extraordinary Gentleman, which spawned the hit single “Blow Your Mind” with Swizz Beatz.
The album featured a varied list of collaborators including Akon, Alchemist, Black Thought, Beanie Sigel, Ghostface Killah, and of course Style’s long-time partners Jadakiss and Sheek Louch.
D-Block will follow up Styles’ latest effort with a new Sheek Louch mixtape.
Extinction: Last of a Dying Breed will be available November 25, and will be Sheek’s third project since joining the Koch roster in 2005.
