Bryant had been trying to secure a new deal with the Cowboys during the offseason, but the two sides were unable to come to an agreement. The Texas native decided to fire his longtime agent Eugene Parker and sign on with Roc Nation. His $11.8 million five-year rookie contract expires at the end of this season.
“I feel like it fits me,” said Bryant about joining Hov’s company. “It fits what I’m trying to do, what I’m trying to accomplish in life. I want to be the best that I can possibly be. It ain’t about a contract. It’s about me branding myself and being an icon for these kids. I love kids and they look up to me.”
Bryant joins fellow NFL players Geno Smith, Hakeem Nicks, Ndamukong Suh, and Victor Cruz at the Roc.
