At this year’s South by Southwest music festival, Chance the Rapper made his acting debut in the Colin Tiley-directed short film, Mr. Happy.

In the film, Chance plays Victor, a depressed young man who has been trying to kill himself. After unsuccessful attempts, he takes to the internet to ask “why can’t I kill myself?” He then comes across a site that claims it can people in their suicidal quests. After paying a large fee for the services, he meets a young lady who brings some sunshine into his dark world.
