Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus dropped a bombshell via his Instagram last night (Oct. 20). In a birthday post dedicated to his father, the former UCLA Bruins player revealed that he only played football because he thought that was the only way to get his father to love him and be apart of his life.
I played football for my father because I thought that was the only way he would love me & be apart of my life. It took me 12 years to realize he loves Cordell Broadus the person not Cordell Broadus the football player. The best day of my life was when I heard those exact words; I love you dad hope you have a great birthday

Broadus quit the team back in August to focus on film and his company, Film School Productions. He was one of top 40 football recruits coming out of California. The 18-year-old played in his father’s Snoop Youth Football League and when he decided to attend UCLA, he was one of the 20 players from the league to sign on to play for a major college football team.
