Tupac Shakur Nominated For Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Class Of 2017

THE LATE ICON COULD JOIN A SHORT LIST OF HIP HOP ACTS TO BE ENSHRINED IN THE MUSEUM

(AllHipHop News) Tupac “2Pac” Shakur has been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. The late icon is one of the 19 nominees up for the 2017 class.

Janet Jackson, Pearl Jam, Chaka Khan, Chic, Jane’s Addiction, and Joan Baez are also nominated.

If 2Pac is chosen as a member of the ’17 Class, he would join N.W.A, Run-D.M.C., Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, and Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five as the only Hip Hop acts to be enshrined in the Hall.

Shakur is one of the top-selling musical performers in history. The “Dear Mama” rapper is regularly included on publications’ lists of the greatest and most influential emcees of all time.

Fans can vote on which five acts should be enshrined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum at rockhall.com.
