(AllHipHop Features) GRAMMY Award winning artist and producer Terrace Martin was honored by the Los Angeles City Council in a ceremony held at the L.A. City Hall on February 24 for his contributions to music and to the community.
Council President Herb Wesson addressed the audience and spoke greatly of Terrace’s musical abilities and accomplishments, such as working with music legends like Quincy Jones and Herbie Hancock to hip-hop stars like Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar.
Upon receiving his plaque of recognition, Terrace spoke to the council about the need for musical arts in the schools and how such programs along with encouragement from street gang members, allowed him to develop his talents and keep him away from trouble. Afterwards, Terrace spoke to AllHipHop about receiving this prestigious honor.
