Wednesday night, at Wired Road Studios in Houston, TX, the scene was set Kirko Bangz, Houston’s shining star, to present his latest mixtape effort, Progression 3. If you were in this studio, it was packed with industry, DJs and tastemakers as well as the cream of the crop in the Houston Hip-Hop scene. Each room you walked in had Hip-Hop artist like Bun B, Slim Thug, DJ Hi-C, jewelry to the stars – TV Johnny, Lil Keke and a slew of rising/established Breeding Ground Alumni’s Killa Kyleon [#BGA], Delorean [#BGA], Propain [#BGA], Le$ [#BGA], Doughbeezy [#BGA].
Kirko spoke with passion on the his latest project and from the crowd reaction, we all showed passion for our favorite tracks on the project. Some of the stand out songs were “Vent,” the ladies will like Kirko singing skills on “Tonight” and the anthem cut which got Slim Thug off his feet was the newly released video for the song “Cup Up Top Down” featuring Z-RO, Paul Wall & Slim Thug.
AllHipHop had a chance to speak with Kirko about his progression and the Progression 3 mixtape.
