(AllHipHop News) Little to the knowledge of Ma$e and the rest of the public, DJ Khaled is not disrespecting Notorious B.I.G., he’s collaborating with someone like him. During an interview with MTV, DJ Khaled compared the Brooklyn legend to Rick Ross.
After Ma$e indirectly denounced Khaled’s “I Feel Like Pac/I Fee Like Biggie” track from Suffering From Success, Khaled reasons that Rick Ross’ brash unapologetic lyrics allowed the Miami rapper to occupy a space in Hip Hop once owned by the fallen legends:
Ross is one of the biggest rappers in the game and one of the hardest gangsta rappers in the game and that’s what Biggie and ‘Pac was,
Khaled later admitted that there was no comparison to the two iconic MC’s on a duplication level but on another intangible:
Nobody’s like ‘Pac and Biggie, nobody’s sounding like ’em. I’m talking about the energy.
In an interesting twist of irony, the title actually originates with one of the only New York City natives on the possee cut featuring Meek Mill, T.I., P. Diddy, Rick Ross and Swizz Beatz. “I played Swizz the beat and I gave him a vision of who I wanted to be on the record. Swizz came up with this hook: ‘I feel like ‘Pac.”‘
DJ Khaled’s Suffering From Success arrives on October 22nd.
