(AllHipHop News) Rapper Pras is fighting allegations from his ex-wife suggesting he’s been hiding his money in a bid to win a reduction in his child support payments.
The former Fugees star, real name Prakazrel Michel, is currently having to hand over $4,800 a month to Angela Severiano to help care for their son Landon.
Severiano’s lawyer, Robert Wallack, believes Pras isn’t telling the whole truth after discovering a secret bank account listed under the name of one of his companies.
The account had been used to make and receive various payments totaling around $1 million in the six months up to September.
Speaking in New York’s Manhattan Family Court on Tuesday, Wallack told the judge, “We found that Pras uses a complex web of shell companies to mask his true financial resources. What we uncovered was not only astonishing, but it proved that everything Pras has told this Court was a lie.”
Wallack is seeking to have Pras pay $60,000 to cover his ex’s attorney’s fees, and also settle his outstanding child support debt and related costs, which are close to $125,000.
A representative for Pras, who was not present for Tuesday’s hearing due to a death in the family, insists the rapper is happy to grant Severiano’s requests.
But he is “not authorized to pay child support from his business” and can therefore only send her a check once his personal funds are released by government agents.
Spokesman Darrell Johnson explained to the New York Post’s Page Six, “We would commit to catching up on payments once the money is released. He has no problem with attorney’s fees.”

So far, Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (1999) and OutKast’s Speakerboxxx/The Love Below (2004) are the only Hip Hop projects to win the Grammy for Album Of The Year.
(AllHipHop News) Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson took a break from trolling his own Power co-star Naturi Naughton long enough to show love to a popular music artist. 50 Cent uploaded a video of Lizzo twerking to his Twitter page and added a suggestive caption.
” Now that’s the love boat, I’m not saying you can’t Handel [sic] it, but you can’t Handel [sic] it. ♂️ big sexy #LeCheminDuRoi #bransoncognac,” wrote the G-Unit leader.
50 Cent likely got enough mentions about spelling “handle” wrong twice that he returned to the social media platform to address the grammar blunder. He blamed the typo on his iPhone not catching the error.
“F*ck y’all my spell check not working,” posted the 44-year-old entertainment magnate. “I was typing fast, I’m not gonna fix it since it’s so entertaining.”
For her part, Lizzo seemed appreciative of 50 Cent’s social media shout out. The “Good As Hell” vocalist retweeted Fiddy’s “big sexy” message to her 1.2 million followers.

According to MassLive, Jimmy S. Kang, Vice President of Wu-Tang Clan Management is negotiating the creation of a Wu-Tang theme park in Seoul. His family is originally from Korea, and they immigrated to the United States when he was 4 years old.
Kang also supervises Wu-Tang Radio, Wu-Tang DJ Coalition, and Protect Ya Neck records/distribution. The former Worcester State University student first met with representatives of the Wu in 2010.
“They came and asked me to come up to New York City,” recalled Kang about his introduction to the NYC-bred rap collective. “I met up with RZA, Freedom, Devine, Mook, and Krumbsnatcha. When they approached me, I thought it was unreal.”
Wu-Tang Clan is widely considered one of the greatest Hip Hop acts of all time. RZA, GZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna have released classic albums as both a group and as solo artists.
(AllHipHop News) Some people were shocked to learn A$AP Rocky is returning to Sweden for a concert after being convicted of assault there earlier this year. Besides performing, Rocky offered another explanation for why he is traveling back to the European nation.
“When I was in Sweden I met so many people like myself,” the man born Rakim Mayers told a TMZ cameraman. “All of those immigrants didn’t really have the kind of support that they need. Me, being a celebrity, I had worldwide coverage. We had the American embassy.”
He continued, “These people come from countries that they don’t have help. Sweden – they take in immigrants. I just felt like I wanted to give back… We’re donating with the immigration service called FARR that helps a lot of immigrants get the right kind of help that they need.”
Rocky expressed he is not concerned about potentially being caught up in another violent case while in Sweden. The 31-year-old American also avoided answering a question about whether he ever spoke to President Donald Trump about the situation.
The rapper was detained in Stockholm for more than a month before he was found guilty and given a suspended sentence. Mayers and two co-defendants claimed self-defense against the alleged victim for the street fight that took place on June 30.
(AllHipHop News) Dave East needed to get some things off his chest. There were rumors circulating that his Survival album sold less than 3000 units in its first week of release.
When the official numbers came back, East saw his debut studio album pull in around 22,000 units to open at #11 on the Billboard 200 chart. The Harlem-bred emcee took to Instagram to call out media outlets that pushed the “poor sales” narrative.
The Wu-Tang: An American Saga actor wrote:
Thanks To The Real. All The Fake Blogs And Fake Projections The Frank Stand Is Open 24 Hours A Day And Please Never Reach Out For Another Interview Or Anything Involving Dave East. I’m Cool. Shouts To @billboard For The Facts…
Survival includes contributions from Teyana Taylor, Rick Ross, Nas, The-Dream, Fabolous, Gunna, Jacquees, Lil Baby, and Ty Dolla Sign. East and Taylor recently performed “Need A Sign” on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
(AllHipHop News) More details have come forth surrounding the arrest of Philly rapper Dark Lo, who was accused of threatening a federal witness during AR-AB’s drug trial.
Reps for Dark Lo said the witness was not comfortable with him in the courtroom, but the Feds say the rapper’s threat was much greater than his presence during a portion of the trial.
Dee-1 says he’s the solution to the negative stigmas that shadow hip-hop, which comes to life through his music.
Hailing from New Orleans, the self-conscious rapper doesn’t curse in his music on purpose, promoting love and positivity in any way he can.
Most recently, he unleashed his new project God and Girls, a testament to who he is as a person, as an artist, as “a man on a mission to change the world through music.”
He jokes, “Dee-1 should be your favorite rapper.” Beyond the music, he’s a leader, a revolutionary figure, and activist, and as authentic as they get.
With over 225K followers on Instagram alone, the lyricist has been steadily growing his fanbase with each release, each visual, each project.
AllHipHop: Being from New Orleans, what were you seeing growing up?
Dee-1: I don’t want to sound like a typical rapper like “man I saw all this murder, all these drugs.” I lived in the hood, so I did see enough of that, but I also went to a really good school on the other side of town. I got to see black, white, Asian, Hispanic ethnicities and cultures. Being in New Orleans, I got to see a bunch of jazz music and second-line dancing. Just a bunch of culture, life was real colorful. A bunch of great food. A bunch of big smiles and a bunch of deep frowns at the same time. I saw heaven and hell growing up.
AllHipHop: Talk about being “the solution to the negative stigma that shadows hip-hop.”
Dee-1: People want to buy into something real and authentic. People don’t want to buy into a preacher who’s pointing at them, telling them how bad they are. Because people stereotype me all the time. I’m from New Orleans, I got dreadlocks. I’m a dude that you’d think is about glorifying a bunch of negativity but in reality, I don’t curse in my music. I go out my way to make sure that nobody is going to go to hell for listening to Dee-1’s music.
I’m at peace on the inside and because I’m at peace, I don’t wish bad or evil on anybody. I don’t want to put that out there. The only reason why so much good, positive stuff comes to me is because I put that out there in the world. God is real. What do I look like using a talent that God gave me to do something God didn’t intend for me to do with it? Which is perpetuate a bunch of negativity and all that.
AllHipHop: At what point did you realize this music thing was for real?
Dee-1: I realized music was for real the first time I got paid. [chuckles] I got paid $150 to do a performance at a club. At the time, I had a job. I was a middle school teacher, so that’s more money than I made teaching for a whole 8-hour day in the classroom. I made $150 by rapping for 30 minutes. At that point, I’m like “you know what? This is real.”
AllHipHop: Do you feel real hip-hop is hard to be seen nowadays?
Dee-1: No, a lot of real hip-hop is winning. I do very well. I’m blessed. Me, Kendrick, J. Cole… who else? Big Sean. Honestly, Drake, Big KRIT, Wale. There’s a bunch of people who are really winning and really doing well. The whole “oh people don’t want real hip hop” thing? Maybe a few years ago that was the case. But now, people want that real.
AllHipHop: Do you consider yourself a Christian rapper?
Dee-1: No, I really consider myself whatever people call me. If people think I’m a Christian rapper, I’m a Christian rapper. If people think I’m a conscious rapper, I’m a conscious rapper. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people think Mona Lisa is smiling. Think about that, that’s how art is. It’s not my job to tell ya’ll what it is, it’s up to you. When you listen to my music, I’m curious as to what you’re thinking. Have you heard my music?
AllHipHop: Yeah, I listen to God and Girls.
Dee-1: Dope. So what do you consider it?
AllHipHop: It’s positive music, I like it.
Dee-1: That’s what I hear a lot, it’s positive hip-hop. But I hate that some people are really afraid to listen to something that may not be getting co-signed by the biggest people in hip-hop. I’m independent, I got a diehard fanbase. But the main thing I go against is some people won’t listen to my music if they haven’t heard somebody really famous co-signing it. I just want people to think for themselves. Once you listen to it, it’s going to speak for itself.
AllHipHop: What’s one thing you want fans to get from God and Girls?
Dee-1: I want people to know that God has a plan for all of them. The first song is called “I know God,” it says “I know God has a plan for me, but I don’t know what it is, I’m just out there trying to handle my biz.” Those are the realest statements on my whole album. God has a plan for everybody, but we don’t always know what it is.
Until then, we have to wake up every day and get on your grind. Handle your business. Keep going, that’s the main thing. So many people give up. I just hung up with a woman I know in Atlanta 2 seconds before I walked in here on the phone. She’s ready to give up on her dreams, I can tell. If would’ve given up every time, I wouldn’t be here right now.
AllHipHop: What are your thoughts on Kanye West & the controversy surrounding Jesus Is King?
Dee-1: I love what Kanye’s doing. I’m supporting Kanye real tough right now. I went to Sunday Service out here at The Forum, and I went to the one 2 days before that in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I flew home because the church he did it at in Baton Rouge is the church I used to go to in college. That’s the church where I actually gave my life to God. The irony of this… I flew back.
It was amazing. Amazing, literally. I knew the people who threw that event so I had all access. By me being so close to Kanye that day, I could tell that this is authentic. This is legit. I’m supporting Kanye. If you believe in God, especially if you’re a Christian and you don’t support Kanye right now? You have to question yourself: why are you hating?
There’s a lot of people in the industry who don’t profess to be Christians or don’t really care that much about God or spirituality. I hear a lot of people saying “this is his worst album, we think he’s falling off.” I don’t expect anything different from them because they don’t have a moral compass. If you don’t have a moral compass, you’re going to look at this like it’s lame. For me, my moral compass makes me a fan of the direction that Kanye’s moving in.
Just because I don’t listen to a bunch of gospel music doesn’t mean I can’t be a fan of the direction he’s moving in. This dude had people in The Forum Sunday who I could tell, they came in with Life of Pablo merch on. They came because they’re attracted to Kanye West.
But by coming, Kanye West exposed them to the word of God. I’ve been praying for years that more celebrities would use their influence to push people in a positive direction. Closer to God, all that. How many other people are doing it? Jay Z is starting to do it, but there’s not that many more rappers who are doing it. So I’m riding with Kanye.
AllHipHop: Who’s in your Top 5?
Dee-1: My personal Top 5 of all time: Nas, Tupac, Juvenile from New Orleans, DMX, and the fifth one is Lupe Fiasco.
AllHipHop: What are the pros & cons of being independent?
Dee-1: The pros of being independent is I’m the boss. I can do things when I want, how I want. That feels amazing. Oh that feels amazing! The cons are you have to wear so many different hats that it can be overwhelming if you don’t have the right team around you.
AllHipHop: Talk about getting Kevin Gates on your first album.
Dee-1: When I was in college, I put my first album out called David & Goliath. Me and Kevin Gates were both living in Baton Rouge at the time. We used to always be in the club together. We were always out promoting our music together. Me and Dreka both went to college together. I got Gates on the song. We had each other’s number, we were just cool. Kevin Gates came and pulled up to the studio in North Baton Rouge, it was on North 31st Street.
AllHipHop: Is there anything else you want to let us know?
Dee-1: God and Girls streaming everywhere right now. God and Girls Tour starts December 7th, get your tickets now at missionvisionstyle.com. Follow me on social media @Dee1music.
(AllHipHop News) Philadelphia rapper AR-AB and three of his associates were convicted today (November 19) for running a large-scale drug operation in the city.
AR-AB and Jamaal “Bionickhaz” Blanding, Jameel “Meliano” Hickson and Hans “NoBrakes Bras” Gadson made money from distributing cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin.
The Fed’s say AR-AB born Abdul West, fronted the money for the drugs and ordered other O.B.H. members to commit acts of murder and violence.
Undercover agents say they purchased drugs from various O.B.H. affiliates during multiple covert sting operations.
Investigators eventually seized drugs in bulk and over $28,000 in cash during raids on four properties the gang controlled.
“West [AR-AB] and his co-defendants, members of the O.B.H. drug organization, pumped huge quantities of deadly drugs into our community while pretending to be legitimate artists and businessmen,” said United States Attorney William M. McSwain. “Drug trafficking is an inherently dangerous business, and drug traffickers ultimately deliver violence and destruction to our communities without any regard for the people living there. Our Office is determined to do exactly what we did in this case: investigate and convict these dangerous criminals and put them in prison.”
Now, each one of the defendants is facing a possible life sentence and being convicted of conspiracy to distribute drugs and other drug trafficking crimes.
This week, Jay-Z’s lawyers are trying to settle a dispute with a food vendor management and beverage concession business he claims cheated him out of royalties derived by the Made In America Festival
Roc Nation partnered with a Texas-based company called Spectrum Catering, Concessions And Events, which was granted the exclusive rights to manage the food and beverage operations for the M.I.A Festival in 2017 and 2018.
Jay’s lawyers claim they caught Spectrum fudging the books by adding numerous unauthorized deductions of expenses, credit card fees, and taxes from Roc Nation’s share of the commissions on the food and drinks sold at the M.I.A Festival.
Roc Nation isn’t talking peanuts either.
Spectrum was supposed to give Jay’s company 60% of the gross sales from liquor, 42% of the money earned on non-alcoholic beverages, and all of the money made from the food trucks at M.I.A.
Earlier this week, Jay-Z’s lawyers moved one step close to ending the “beef” with Spectrum.
“The parties’ settlement discussions in this matter have become productive enough to warrant mediation,” lawyers for Jay-Z’s Roc Nation confirmed. “The parties are currently seeking to schedule a private mediation in a good-faith effort to resolve the parties’ dispute.”
In total, Roc Nation’s accountants say Spectrum owes no less than $367,844.09 plus applicable interest, costs, and fees.
(AllHipHop News) Married stars Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz headed back to Harvard Business School on Friday to stage a presentation all about the success of their personal and professional partnership.

The “Girl On Fire” hitmaker shared the news on social media on Monday, when she uploaded photos of the pair in class, as well as images of course case studies, in which they were hailed as “a power couple.”
“Friday was a powerful day,” she wrote alongside the Instagram images. “My baby @therealswizzz and I presented our case study on our lives and business at @HarvardHBS.
“Professor Boris Groysberg created three case studies: one of me, one of Swizz and one of us together. That’s actually never been done before! It broke down business, leadership and how to have a successful business/life balance.
“It was fascinating seeing our lives on a chalk board. At Harvard. Being used as a case study for success. It was sooo (sic) deep, seriously, it even uncovered things for me while I was sitting there.”
Alicia Keys went on to thank Professor Groysberg for granting them the “powerful moment” and expressed her delight at getting the opportunity to address students at the elite school.

(AllHipHop Rumors) NBA Youngboy has done the unthinkable. Well, it is unthinkable if you grew up on Tupac like me. Tupac had the classic song called “Dear Mama,” where he praised his mother despite her imperfections. NBA Youngboy is a bit of a different artists, who may come from the Blueface school of thought.
NBA Youngboy has reportedly tossed his mom from the home that he purchased for her.

(AllHipHop News) Lakeith Stanfield and Charlamagne Tha God are officially in a rap beef. The Atlanta actor dropped a diss track directed at the Power 105.1 radio show host.
Stanfield fired the first shot when he posted on Instagram that The Breakfast Club and several other media outlets were “anti-black.” Charlamagne responded by blasting Lakeith during his “Donkey of the Day” segment.
“Lakeith Stanfield, don’t you ever fix your raggedy-ass mouth to call the author of Black Privilege – because I truly believe it is a privilege to be Black – anti-Black,” stated the South Carolina native on November 14.
Two days later, Stanfield released a tune titled “Automatic” which calls out Charlamagne. The song’s cover art depicts CTG as a “Black S####” character à la “Mantan” in Spike Lee’s 2000 satirical film Bamboozled.
(AllHipHop News) Kimberly “Lil Kim” Jones is often credited as one of the women that broke down the door for female rappers to embrace their sexuality. For example, Kim shocked the world with her classic “Hard Core” poster in the mid-1990s.
The Notorious B.I.G. protégé reflected on her career while appearing on Talib Kweli’s People’s Party show. The two Brooklynites discussed the Queen Bee infiltrating the “boys club” and becoming a feminist icon in the eyes of some.
“It’s always been a grey area for me, because my thing is I definitely, in some way, am a feminist because I support my women,” said Lil Kim. “That’s the one thing that was always my main focus is that my girls had somebody to speak for them all the time.”
She added, “It was never ‘kill all men’ or ‘men are horrible’… You can’t bash men, but there is a crew that is like that.” The “Crush on You” performer also talked about her memorable, influential pose.
“As a female when I was coming into the game and I did the ‘Hard Core’ poster, the famous squat, that was game changing. And so many women were hating on me, I was surprised,” the 9 album creator recalled. “It was sexy. To me, it wasn’t tasteless. It was classy, it was cute, I was fresh-faced.”
