Bun B Pushes For ‘Verzuz’ Battle With UGK Vs 8Ball & MJG

(AllHipHop News) Could the next Verzuz event be a Texas versus Tennessee matchup? That’s what Bun B is calling for. The Port Arthur native asked his Instagram followers to help him set up a battle with UGK and 8Ball & MJG.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CAqg4kjgfM7

“@therealswizzz and @timbaland are open to having us on @verzuztv y’all. They just wanna see that the people want it. So tag them in my comments. Then repost the pic by @willo_hdesign to your page and story and tag them again. Let’s get the word out!” posted Bun B on his IG page.

Super-producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have been organizing the Verzuz events on Instagram Live. So far, they have managed to present battles such as DJ Premier vs RZA, Babyface vs Teddy Riley, Erykah Badu vs Jill Scott, Nelly vs Ludacris, and 112 vs Jagged Edge.

If UGK vs 8Ball & MJG does take place, both southern rap groups will be able to play numerous memorable records from their respective catalogs. Bun B and Pimp C crafted street classics like “Pocket Full of Stones and “International Players Anthem (I Choose You).” 8Ball & MJG hit the Billboard charts with “Space Age Pimpin'” and “Stay Fly.”

DMX Talks Coronavirus & The World Going Towards The End Of Days

(AllHipHop News) There has been a lot of talk in recent weeks about DMX potentially taking part in a Verzuz battle. During a recent interview with Fatman Scoop, X expressed interest in wanting to face-off with Jay-Z as part of the Instagram Live events that have entertained millions of people in self-quarantine because of coronavirus.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CAiDOhTgqaK

The conversation with Fatman Scoop also included DMX talking about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The East Coast Hip Hop legend was asked if he believes our society is in the end times because of coronavirus.

“The minute we’re born, we’re dying because we’re taking steps towards our death. Nobody knows when it’s actually going to be,” said DMX. “So, of course, when you look at it like that, yeah, we’re moving towards the end of days. Nobody knows how many days we have left or what’s going to happen to end our days. But, yes, we’re definitely going towards the end of days.”

X added, “Coronavirus – that’s not going to be the end of the world. It’s just something to make you aware of how fragile life is. It’s during the most difficult situations that you become aware of what God is willing to do for you. We lost some, but they’re with God. So is that really a bad thing? We’re human, so of course, we’re going to hurt when people we love die, but they’re in a better place. If we look at it along those lines, we’d be happy for them.”

Megan Thee Stallion & Beyoncé’s ‘Savage’ Hits No. 1

(AllHipHop News) For the first time in her career, Megan Thee Stallion has the most popular song in America. “Savage” also earned Beyoncé her seventh Number One.

The remix to the Fever track jumped from #5 to #1 on the Hot 100 chart. Megan and Bey also lead the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and the Hot Rap Songs chart.

Plus, Beyoncé made Hot 100 history with “Savage.” She joins Mariah Carey as the only soloists to have a Number One in the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. The former Destiny’s Child member is just the 21st act to have at least seven No. 1s.

Elsewhere on the Hot 100, Doja Cat’s “Say So” remains at #2. Nicki Minaj is no longer credited on the record because most of the overall activity for the song is coming from the original version and not the remix featuring Minaj.

The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” climbs one spot to #3. DaBaby and Roddy Ricch’s “Rockstar” reaches the Top 5 at #4. Drake’s “Toosie Slide” rebounds to #5. Future and Drake’s “Life Is Good” is back in the Top 10 at #6.

Vwillz- ‘Both of Us’

(AllHipHop Music) Following the radio debut of the title track cut on Travis Mills Beats1/ Apple Music show earlier this week, Vwillz (@iamvwillz)  liberates ‘Both of Us’ the EP in its entirety.

The 4-track collection of songs was preceded by the Freddie Mercury inspired loosie “Emo Rhapsody,” which highlights the Colorado Springs native’s Hip-Pop style and his affinity for music culture as a whole.

When describing his latest body of work, the CMG recording artist simply explains it as an audible love story.

Vwillz on the project:

“BOTH OF US have never been here before, so as this continues to grow I hope you never LEAVE ME, as it’s my job to ensure I LOVE YOU BETTER, and continue to grow our relationship alongside my career. This one Is very special to me and I hope it becomes special to you too. Thank you to everyone that’s been supporting me on this journey, Without the Vwillz family, I wouldn’t be anything.”

The singer/songwriter hails from Kansas City, a metropolis rich in music history and culture.

With an unparalleled dedication to his craft, LeVelle was blessed to create his effortless vocal technique courtesy of a few legendary musical influences and the experience of life itself.

“Why” is the latest single from LB’s debut album ‘LeVelle My Journey.’ The LP echoes his strong appreciation for women in general and the women who have greatly influenced his life, so it was only right to present a compelling visual for his latest single.

Lloyd Bank Explains DMX’s Negative Aggression

(AllHipHop News) First of all, there are at least 35 rappers eligible at any given time to be in someone’s top 10 rap list.

These lists are popular and fun, have been since the 90s, but are fruitless as preference is the key barometer to gauge ranking.

As an elder statesman in the culture, DMX should know this.

But he doesn’t. Instead, he has personalized one list, gave the internet rap beef fodder that it loves “oh so” much and injured the professional respect between him and Queens rapper, Lloyd Banks.

DMX basically disputes that Banks is a Top 20 emcees list caliber artist.

The Dog says, “Lloyd Banks?”

Fat Man Scoop seems to flip his wig. But the Ruff Ryder general stands firm, challenging the DJ to recite four of his classic bars.

When Scoop can’t he reduces the request to two.

Banks got word of the diss (and be clear it was a diss) and responded on social:

“I have no clue..god bless him

“So because I didn’t come to the studio to work when HE reached out.. I’m not that good?”

Fans then wanted to know why he didn’t link with X.

Banks explains, “I had a flight.”

Be clear though, he does not only dismiss Banks. He pulls guns out and blasts other legends too.

While on Live with Fatman Scoop, he asks “You got me wondering … when you say top do you mean lyrically or just what inspired you to do what you are doing?”

“If you say lyrically … half of what you said is dead.”

“Lyrically, how about we start with Grandmaster Caz how about that?”

“I want to be clear about this. I respect what the original rappers did … they paved the way … But when you talk about lyrically … look how rap started … ‘Hip-Hop hibbibi bit’ … what the f##k is a hibbit?”

Def Jam Africa Promises To Bring Hip-Hop To The Motherland In A New Way

(AllHipHop News) While Def Jam is not the first rap label to exist — it is the first one to become an international portal of Hip-Hop culture.

Iconic in every way, the house that Uncle Russell built is kinda the blueprint for every other rap empire. #FightMe

And so, it should come as no surprise that the grooming shop for LL Cool J, Jay-Z, DMX, Kanye, Rihanna, Rick Ross, Pusha T, Frank Ocean, Justin Beiber, Freeway, Ghostface, Ne-Yo, The Dream, Joe Budden, N.O.R.E., Method Man, The Roots, Fabolous, Cam’ron and the Dipset, Young Jeezy, Ludacris and the list can go on… is now venturing into Africa with their new imprint label, Def Jam Africa.

According to a statement from the label, Def Jam Africa is a new division on the continent dedicated to representing the best Hip-Hop, Afrobeats and trap talent in Africa.

Based out of Johannesburg, South Africa and Lagos, Nigeria, DJA will identify and sign artist talent from every corner of the Motherland.

In fact, they are building a team of dedicated A&R, marketing, creative and digital executives in both country, who will ultimately be reporting to Sipho Dlamini, MD, Universal Music Sub-Saharan Africa & South Africa.

First up to bat, just like the parent company, DJA will have some cultural heavy hitters: Boity (South Africa), Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), Larry Gaaga (Nigeria) Nadia Nakai (South Africa), Nasty C (South Africa), Tshego (South Africa), Tellaman (South Africa), Ricky Tyler (South Africa), and Vector (Nigeria).

“Many of us in Africa grew up on music from legendary labels under the UMG umbrella,” Dlamini says. “Def Jam has always been the ultimate destination for hip-hop and urban culture worldwide. It is a historic achievement that we’re now able to bring this iconic label to

Africa, to create an authentic and trusted home for those who aspire to be the best in Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, and trap. Together, we will build a new community of artists, that will push the boundaries of Hip-Hop from Africa, to reach new audiences globally.”

Earlier this year it was announced that South African rapper Nasty C will release his forthcoming album Zulu Man with Some Power in partnership with Def Jam Recordings in the U.S., during Summer, 2020.

Other forthcoming releases on Def Jam Africa include singles from: Ricky Tyler, Boity, Nasty C, Tellaman feat. Alpha P, Vector, Cassper Nyovest and Tshego.

Atlanta’s Deante’ Hitchcock Keeps Getting “Better”

Deante’ Hitchcock has what most artists dream of: a Grammy nomination.

The Atlanta native gained much attention online from his weekly freestyle series titled New Atlanta Tuesday’s back in 2016, proving his talents not only as an MC but as a recording artist.

Fast forward to last year, he was present for the Revenge of the Dreamers III sessions, which resulted in a feature on “PTSD” alongside Omen, Mereba, and St. Beauty.

The 27-year-old is gaining fans daily, creating music that not only sounds good sonically, but creates a vibe for listeners all around the world.

He jokingly describes himself as “Mary Tae Blige, Poppa ForTae, Taeomi Campbell, B2Tae, all those thangs is me. I be rapping and s##t, I make words sound good together.”

Most recently, he released his new album titled BETTER, via Bystorm/RCA Records.

With additional guest appearances from Miguel, Young Nudy, and St. Beauty, the project hails his high-streaming singles “I Got Money Now” with J.I.D. and “How TF” with 6lack.

AllHipHop caught up with Deante’’ who was quarantined in his home in Atlanta, while the rest of the city opened back up. Read below as we discuss his new project, wanting a pizza shop after music, the best memory from the Dreamville sessions, and more!

AllHipHop: How does being from Atlanta influence you?

Deante’ Hitchcock: Atlanta has a lot of flavor, a lot of different styles. Music-wise a lot of people look at Atlanta as the trap scene, but we had hella folks before that. When Jeezy came out with the trap s##t, he was still spitting. We had 3 Stacks, Outkast, Kilo Ali, T.I., even the n##gas who came up with trap.

AllHipHop: And they’re still poppin’!

Deante’ Hitchcock: Exactly, Tip’s been running this s##t for a good decade and some change. We live a similar lifestyle because we all come from the same city. Growing up around the same places, seeing the same type of s##t, it’s the Atlanta experience. That’s why a lot of the people who come down here, stay. They stay! We have more insurance plans than damn near anywhere, besides LA. We’re getting a whole new influx of people so the flavor’s growing. We have a whole bunch of new influences. It’s amazing being out here.

AllHipHop: When did you start dabbling into music?

Deante’ Hitchcock: I’ve been rapping since I was 12 years old. My uncle used to rap too, he put me in a group. My name used to be Dirty D, then I was Dirt Dolla. Bruh, I used to hate them names. [chuckles] Hated them. When I was 13 or 14, it was me, Dirty D, and Nasty Noonk. It was a group, we were kids. s##t happened, we got older. I wanted to do kid s##t, I wanted to go skating. I wanted to go chase girls, f##k around. The group s##t didn’t really last too long. Eventually I started to get back into it though, that’s how we got here today.

AllHipHop: At what point in your solo career did you realize that you could do music as a career?

Deante’ Hitchcock: Probably when I dropped out, for real. I went to college for 3 years, but I was doing music down there with one of my partners. Garfield used to record my videos, he’s still on the team now. Shout out Garfield. When I dropped out, I thought “okay, this s##t for real. This serious.” Before then, I could rap a little bit and play around with it. Once I left school, it was sink or swim. Mama gon’ kill me, you have to do something. You have to figure it out. It worked out though.

AllHipHop: Talk about linking with 6lack on your new single “How TF,” who’s also from the A.

Deante’ Hitchcock: That’s my dawg. We went on tour with him 2 years ago now. It was me, him, and Summer [Walker] at first, then Summer left halfway through the tour and Ari [Lennox] came on. End of 2018, it was crazy! We’re in there performing, the biggest crowd we had was 7000 people.

AllHipHop: Was that done in the studio?

Deante’ Hitchcock: Besides the St. Beauty joint on the album, I don’t think any of them were in person. Crazy enough, me and Miguel still haven’t even met each other face to face. We’re signed to the same label. We’ve talked for the last 2.5 years, but we haven’t actually been in the same room ever. We’ve talked through IG, FaceTime, text, all that s##t. He showed a lot of love, we have a couple songs actually.

The same with Nudy. Me and Nudy hadn’t met until we did the video for the song we have, “Attitude.” Alex came through from St. Beauty, she put her stuff down at the house. J.I.D. and 6lack, they sent theirs in as well.

AllHipHop: J.I.D. is hilarious.

Deante’ Hitchcock: He’s a f##king a##hole. [laughs] I was texting that n##ga earlier. He’s cool as f##k man. I’m beating his ass at iPhone pool, so he’s been talking s##t. Bruh, he might be the most competitive motherf##ker I know. Easily.

AllHipHop: How did the Miguel feature on BETTER come about?

Deante’ Hitchcock: We knew we wanted him on the project. We tried to get something in, but the moment never really presented itself. He had sent some stuff. He sent a song called “Apartment 24,” it’s unreleased. That’s the first thing we ever did together. I sent it back to him, got the verse in. I hit him, we got one of the higher ups at the label to hit him as well. Mark Pitts, the president of the urban department at RCA, sent him the record after I sent it to him. From there, it was a waiting game. He had sent one version back. Went back, put some more on it, sent another version back. We ended up with what we got today, which is fire.

AllHipHop: How’d he hear about you?

Deante’ Hitchcock: Because of the label s##t. When I got signed, I’m guessing people told him about a new signee to the label [RCA/Bystorm]. He hit me up from there like “yo bro I f##k with your music, let me in on some s##t.” Me and him were talking from there, chopping it up every chance we got.

AllHipHop: What was your reaction when he hit you up?

Deante’ Hitchcock: Bro, I was trippin’! He followed me first, then he liked one of my pictures. I’m like “what the f##k?” I showed my mama that s##t, she’s like “what the hell?” Then he hit me in the DM, I’m like “ohhhh s##t!” Man, a lot of folks can’t say they got Miguel on their debut album. I’m one of them folks.

AllHipHop: How was touring with Ari? She’s honestly so special.

Deante’ Hitchcock: She’s the sweetest person in the world, easily. She has the soul of a baby angel. She’s cool as f##k, she’s always been cool. I hate that all that internet s##t has been getting to her, she’s really a sweetheart.

AllHipHop: What’s your take on social media?

Deante’ Hitchcock: All that s##t’s weird. It’s unnecessary evil. Without social media, I wouldn’t have gotten signed. Without social media, we wouldn’t be on Instagram live right now. But it’s so much negativity on this s##t. People are hiding behind the computer screens, then you got an Avi of a cartoon or some s##t. You won’t even want to show your face but you got the whole world at your fingertips. You could say anything or talk to anybody, it’s weird. It’s scary. I couldn’t ever talk to anybody from Australia 10 years ago, at the click of the button. s##t’s wild.

AllHipHop: Your first tour was with Rapsody in 2016. What’d you learn from her?

Deante’ Hitchcock: My manager Chris was tour managing for Rapsody at the time. Man, stage performance and stage presence in general. She’s amazing! How to process certain s##t. She gave me a lot of game outside of music as well, personal s##t to deal with inside of all this. Meditation, little tips on how to keep my mind level in the midst of all this bulls##t. Because you know it gets weird, and I was real fresh into it. That’s my auntie!

AllHipHop: How’s it feel to be nominated for a f##king Grammy for ROTD3?

Deante’ Hitchcock: I got a certificate on the way in the mail, I’m finna put that b##ch on the fridge like a proud parent. That s##t’s amazing.

AllHipHop: I’ve heard a bunch of stories about Dreamville sessions. What was your fondest memory?

Deante’ Hitchcock: That s##t was like Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Amazing as f##k. Going into it, nobody even knew who the f##k I was. Damn near nobody, except the folks from Atlanta. I had met Cole twice but everybody else who got called in, Saba, Smino, all the other guys, none of them knew me — but I knew them. I was a fan of their work. Going into it, I was known for the car freestyles for real. Anybody who saw me there, they’re like “oh s##t, you’re the guy who be rapping in the car!” I’m like “yup, that’s me.” I used to rap in the car, that’s how I got signed.

AllHipHop: Would you ever think you’d get noticed from that?

Deante’ Hitchcock: F##k no. [laughs] Hell nah, but it worked out beautifully. The Dreamville s##t was magic. Imagine all your favorite rappers in there, trying to outrap the next man. The original version of “Down Bad” has 10 verses on it, maybe more than that. Deadass.

AllHipHop: Damn! Who makes the cut?

Deante’ Hitchcock: From my understanding, Ibe took all the songs at the end and chopped everything down to the best verses. Everything that he wanted on it there. There are versions of those songs with 20 plus people on there.

AllHipHop: How was it to have that one? You made it!

Deante’ Hitchcock: That s##t felt good, good as f##k man. A lot of us didn’t even know before that last week, they were sending us papers to sign. They sent us an email to let us know that we made the s##t. We had to sign off on the artwork and all that, it was fire.

AllHipHop: Who are your Top 5 artists in rotation?

Deante’ Hitchcock: Young Thug. Smino. Hall & Oats, been listening to them a lot. They’re old school from the 70’s. You ever heard “Maneater”? “She’s a maaaaaneater!” They funky as f##k. They got a song called “Do What You Want, Be What You Are,” omg. Greatest s##t I ever heard in my life. I’ve been on that Drake heavy. A lot of folks aren’t f##king with it, but I like that s##t. That s##t hard as f##k.

AllHipHop: What songs you like?

Deante’ Hitchcock: S##t “Landed,” love that s##t. “D4L” because I’m an Atlanta n##ga. “Losses,” “Chicago Freestyle,” and “Deep Pockets.” Most of my s##t be about love, so I have to f##k with the R&B. Old school s##t, I’m on Christopher Williams, Anita Baker. I dig into Usher, Monica.

AllHipHop: Talk about why you named your album Better.

Deante’ Hitchcock: We have a series called Good, Better, Best. We did Good in 2016 I want to say, I’ve been getting my dates wrong. Better is this one and Best is going to be the last thing I ever do in my life. After Best, I’m out this b##ch.

AllHipHop: What are you going to do?

Deante’ Hitchcock: I might go and start a pizza shop or some s##t.

AllHipHop: Why do you want to just end your rap career?

Deante’ Hitchcock: When I started rapping, I didn’t start rapping because I loved it. Because it was in me type s##t. I started because my uncle started. The competitiveness is what really drove me to even stay in this s##t. I wanted to rap better than the people around me. When I used to go to the studio, I was 12 years old, and there used to be 25-year-old n##gas in there. I have to outrap this grown ass man, I’m finna snap on your ass. That kept me wanting to do it more. It’s really a competitive thing for me, but I have other s##t I want to do.

AllHipHop: Besides the pizza shop, what else?

Deante’ Hitchcock: Pizza shops. I used to dance, I want to own a dance studio. One of my homeboys are stepping into screenwriting, it’s a lot. Trying to move around.

AllHipHop: You’re totally okay with not making music after a certain point in your life?

Deante’ Hitchcock: Yeah. Truthfully, I came into this s##t thinking “this is my first year officially, then I got 10 years.” Then I want to be gone, 10 flat. It may get to that point, it may not, but I’m perfectly fine with that s##t. As long as I get my s##t off right quick, I’m cool.

AllHipHop: Is it because the industry is lowkey trash?

Deante’ Hitchcock: Nah, it’s so much s##t to do out here dawg. I do so much s##t. I’m not Deante’ Hitchcock the rapper. I rap, that’s something I do. It’s my job, but I do hella other s##t I want to do before I die.

I’ve been wanting to own a pizza shop since before I did anything with music.

AllHipHop: What is it about the pizza shop? Tell me this story.

Deante’ Hitchcock: I used to love pizza. As a kid, my mom used to take me to pizza shops. I have family in New York. Before my Nana passed, we went up there to visit her a couple times so I’d be able to meet her before she died. My mom used to pizza spots up there, I fell in love with that s##t. Pizza is delicious. New York pizza, the greatest f##king pizza I’ve had in my life. I want a shop. Since I was 5, I’ve wanted a pizza shop.

AllHipHop: Is that going to be in Atlanta?

Deante’ Hitchcock: Maybe, I don’t know. I don’t plan on living here for the rest of my life either. We’ll see.

AllHipHop: Where do you want to go?

Deante’ Hitchcock: Overseas. Anywhere but here. It’s wild here bro.

AllHipHop: For the fans, favorite song on the album?

Deante’ Hitchcock: That s##t changes everyday. Right now, “Attitude” with Nudy. Yes sir, he dropped a crazy verse on that motherf##ker. He sounds prolific on this b##ch, for real.

Eminem Invites All His Fans To Listening Party For Classic LP

(AllHipHop News) Rap icon Eminem is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his hit album The Marshall Mathers LP with an online listening party.

The star, real name Marshall Mathers, will host the event on music streaming service Spotify on Wednesday, at a time yet to be determined, when fans can join him in a live question and answer session, and listen to the 2000 release, which featured the singles “Stan,” “The Real Slim Shady,” and “The Way I Am.”

Eminem is also unveiling a new line of merchandise to mark the occasion, including a limited edition ‘Stan Varsity’ hoodie, while other celebrations are also reportedly in the works to entertain fans in coronavirus isolation.

He has invited U.S.-based devotees to keep up to date on developments by texting a special number (313-666-7440) or checking out his website for more details.

The Marshall Mathers LP cemented Eminem’s place in hip-hop history, debuting at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and shifting 1.78 million units in its first week to become the fastest-selling album in chart history.

It later lost the title in 2015 to Adele’s 25.

Eminem, 47, previously admitted the project will always overshadow his future endeavors because it was some of his best work ever.

“I am forever chasing The Marshall Mathers LP,” he confessed in a 2017 interview with Vulture. “That was the height of what I could do. I just don’t have the rage I did back then.”

Black Minneapolis Man Murdered By White Cop In The Middle of the Street

(AllHipHop News) Echoes of Eric Garner could be heard in Minneapolis over the weekend, when the local city police basically crushed a Black man to near death as he cried out, “I can’t breathe.”

The Minneapolis Police Department contends in a statement that they were called to handle a situation where a suspect, George Floyd, was committing a “forgery.”

Upon arrival, the authorities insist that the man was not complying and resisting arrest.

“He was ordered to step from his car. After he got out, he physically resisted officers,” the statement read. “Officers were able to get the suspect into handcuffs and noted he appeared to be suffering medical distress.”

But that is not what the video shows.

In the video, you see that one white cop, in particular, is exercising extreme force on an unarmed Black man, while an Asian officer stands to watch.

Unlike the Garner murder, this cop does not use an arm-intensive chokehold but locks in with his kneed almost crushing his esophagus.

Witnesses stand by as this man’s life is seeping from his body, asking authorities to stop hurting him. Their voices are nowhere near as heart-wrenching as the man – who loses consciousness somewhere after the five-minute mark on the video.

You can hear Floyd whimper while on the ground for his mother and some water. He says to the police, “My stomach hurts. My neck hurts. Everything hurts … (I need) water or something.”

“… Please. Please. I can’t breathe, officer. I cannot breathe. I cannot breathe.”

Empathetic voices double up as they yell at the white officer and try to ration with the Asian officer, called “Tao.”

“How long are you going to keep your knee on his neck?”

“He’s a bum, Bro … could have put him in the car by now. He’s not resisting arrest or nothing. You’re enjoying it. Look at you. Your body language — you bum. You know that’s bogus right now.”

One white woman, who identifies herself as an essential worker, questions if they checked for a pulse. She was ignored, even as his eyes are no longer open, he is no longer crying and his nose is bloodied presumably from the pressure.

Eventually, an ambulance did come and take his pulse. He was concerned. Shockingly, the aggressive officer did not move off of the man’s neck but pressed his knee down more. MERCY.

By the end of the video you can hear a man says, “You just really killed that man, Bro.”

Darnella Frazier posted the video to Facebook with the caption, “They killed him right in front of cup foods over south on 38th and Chicago!! No type of sympathy #POLICEBRUTALITY”

MPD has revealed that the officers had body cameras on during the incident. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the FBI has been contacted to investigate.

Gayle King was visibly upset by this and cried out on her morning CBS talk show, “its open season” on Black men.

Mike Tyson Offered $20 Million To Fight Again!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Mike Tyson has not fought in boxing since 2005 but I $20 million potential fight could bring him out of retirement. The 53 year old world champion has been offered 20 million to compete in a single fight for the bare knuckle fighting championship organization. The president of BKFC is calling out Mike and also saying that it can be for charity.

BKFC President David Feldman tells MMA Fighting that the company is planning on upping the number while offering Tyson a slew of new incentives, including charitable donations. “I think I know what we need to do to make this thing happen,” Feldman told the outlet, adding that the exact value of the contract was still being finalized.

To keep it real, Mike Tyson has already said no. But they are completing a finalizing an offer to see if they can woo the former heavyweight champ out of retirement and into the ring. As you have all noticed on social media, Mike Tyson has been working out constantly, has lost a lot of weight, and looks like he is in great shape to actually get in the ring. “I’ve been working out, I’ve been trying to get in the ring. I think I’m going to box some exhibitions and get in shape. I want to go to the gym and get in shape to be able to box three- or four-round exhibitions for some charities and stuff,” he told T.I.

There are a number of people that have thrown their Hat into the ring to fight iron Mike I am like.. There is Tito Ortiz, Evander Holyfield chin shamrock and even Shannon Briggs, the Brooklyn pugilist that actually said he confirmed that he would be fighting Mike. But Mike isn’t saying anything and he’s not even In that headspace. Mike has been meditating a lot and focusing his energy on being the best person he can be and I think a lot of guys see that he could be a easy target in his older age. Personally, I think they are wrong.

At any rate 20 million sounds like a great deal until you think about your health and then it’s not such a great deal. I think there are other deals out there we might can get a ton of money and also retain his brains in his head.

Dr. Dre And Jimmy Iovine’s New High School Aiming To Mold Geniuses

(AllHipHop News) Rap icon Dr. Dre and his longtime business partner Jimmy Iovine are hoping their new Los Angeles high school will produce future geniuses, who encourage others to stay in school.

The brains behind the Beats Electronics tech company teamed up with Apple founder Steve Jobs’ widow, Laurene, to launch the Iovine and Young Hall, where students can earn a unique degree in arts, technology and the business of innovation, last year and they both have very high hopes for the place.

“We’re starting it right outside of USC (University of Southern California),” music mogul Iovine told GQ, “and it’s for that (inner city) neighborhood. And it’s going to be free.

“We want to give underrated kids an edge. We want to market our high school, we want to make it appealing for kids to stay in school and learn. Most don’t want to be there.”

The musicians endowed USC with $70 million to create the academy back in 2013 and announced they had found a permanent site in Los Angeles four years later.

They officially opened the place in October.

Iovine told Billboard magazine at the time, “It’s so awesome, we’re really very excited about it. Every day that passes, in technology and media, it seems more and more necessary that we need young people to fill jobs that are fluent in both languages, technology, and the arts.”

2 Chainz Restaurant Shut Down For Violating COVID-19 Rules

(AllHipHop News) 2 Chainz was one of the first celebrities in rush to open their establishment after the Georgia governor told everyone that they could open up.

Sure, he pulled back a little bit not to spark the anger of supporters siding with the Atlanta mayor, opting to serve the homeless free meals.

But he did open eventually, allowing for food, drink, and hookah smoke to flow in abundance at his Castleberry Hill spot, Escobar Restaurant, and Tapas Lounge.

Now it seems that Escobar and Tapas are back in the news (last month it was because the rapper was getting sued by a former worker) and for not adhering to the state’s COVID-19 guidelines.

According to TMZ, the rapper’s popular hangout was ordered to shut its doors on Memorial Day after the Georgia State Police came to do a surprise inspection.

They assessed that while driving by officers “noticed that the location was rather loud, busy, and occupied to be operating as a restaurant at that time of night.”

Reports say that there was a line almost down the street forming. We get it … they wanted to spend Memorial Day getting lit.

The videos that was shared, had ladies at the bar sitting super close and just an overwhelming disregard of caution.

Still Black people, the rule limits dine-in service to 10 patrons max per table and allowing 10 patrons inside per 300 square feet of public space.

Betty Wright Eulogized By Luke Campbell & Other Celebrities During Funeral

(AllHipHop News) Betty Wright’s friends and family bid farewell to the soul singer at a three-hour funeral in Miami, Florida on Saturday.

The “No Pain, (No Gain)” and “Clean Up Woman” singer lost her battle with cancer at home on May 10th and was remembered in a lengthy service at the Bethel Apostolic Church – which also live-streamed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

In an obituary written by the family, Wright’s daughter Asher Williams-Timmons said: “We adored and cherished our mother; we realized early that she was a blessing to all.”

Celebrities including 2 Live Crew rapper Luther Campbell and Joss Stone were present for the service, where the British singer, who was mentored by Betty, a renowned vocal coach, sang Amazing Grace.

Remembering her friend, Stone said: “She was so giving, I always wondered, if someone gives that much can they run out?”

Gloria Estefan was out of town and unable to attend the funeral, but spoke to the Miami Herald newspaper about the late singer on Friday.

“Betty Wright was a force to be reckoned with. She wielded her soulful power in her own music but was incredibly generous when it came to coaxing the best performances out of every one of her students and the artists she worked with, one of which, was me,” she said.

Born Bessie Regina Norris in 1953, Wright kicked off her career with her family’s gospel group Echoes of Joy in the late 1960s. She released her debut album, My First Time Around, as a teenager and scored a U.S. Top 40 hit with Girls Can’t Do What the Guys Do. She first hit the top 10 in 1971 with Clean Up Woman.

She also had huge hits with Tonight is the Night and Where is the Love, which scored her a Grammy Award for Best R&B song in 1975.

Betty founded her own record label, Ms. B Records, and released the album Mother Wit in the 1980s, and she enjoyed a career revival in 2006 after Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs invited her to be part of his MTV reality show Making the Band.

Wright’s career hit another peak in 2011 when she teamed up with The Roots for the album Betty Wright: The Movie, which featured guest appearances by Lil Wayne and Snoop Dogg. More recently, she collaborated with DJ Khaled, Big Sean and Kendrick Lamar on Holy Key.

Did Doja Cat call Beyonce A Monkey Or A Donkey? She says “No”

(AllHipHop News) Doja Cat has hit back at accusations she mocked Beyonce in a recent TikTok video, insisting the singer is one of the “driving forces” in her career.

The “Say So” singer started trending on Twitter over the weekend with the hashtag #DojaIsOverParty, thanks to several resurfaced videos in which she appeared to be making racist remarks.

But another clip that caused outrage among fans was one from TikTok, where Doja seemed to refer to Beyonce as “Beyon-key” with many suggesting she may have been trying to compare the former Destiny’s Child singer to a monkey or a donkey.

However, taking to her Instagram Live, Doja, real name Amalaratna Dlamini, set the record straight as she praised the star for being a huge inspiration to her.

“I saw something about how people thought I was coming for Beyonce,” she sighed. “Beyonce is the cream of the f##king crop.

“Beyonce is the reason why I believe I can be who I am. Beyonce is one of the driving forces of who I am in my career. Beyonce is undeniably talented. And every f##king time anyone has ever come for Beyonce I’m there, and that’s all I have to say.”

Eminem Posts A Phone Number For His Fans To Text Him

(AllHipHop News) When Eminem released The Marshall Mathers LP in 2000, he probably had no idea one of the tracks would spawn an often problematic sub-culture on social media. The word “Stan” went from being a song about a violent, mentally ill man obsessed with Em to real-life people fully embracing the term to describe their own connection to celebrities.

Eminem is now utilizing his classic record to engage with his “stans” and celebrate the 20 year anniversary of The Marshall Mathers LP. The Detroit-bred rapper posted footage from the “Stan” music video along with a message for his followers.

“‘Dear Stan, I meant to write you sooner, but I just been busy’ text me, ill hit you back – ☎️ 313-666-7440 #MMLP20 #DearSlim Link in bio,” wrote Eminem in the Instagram caption.

After spending years mostly avoiding social media, Eminem has used his latest Music to Be Murdered By album era to be more interactive online. In February, he launched the #GodzillaChallenge as a way to award his fanatics for spitting the rapid-fire bars on “Godzilla” featuring Juice WRLD.
