Harris gained an internet following after her persistent questioning during a Senate hearing made Sessions admit she was making him nervous.

“KOD” amassed more than 4.2 million plays in its first day of release. That total passed Taylor Swift’s 3.8 million for “Look What You Made Me Do” in 2017.

Another KOD track is among the Top 5 too. “Photograph” collected 3.5 million Spotify streams in its first 24 hours on the platform.

The LP dropped on April 20, and Cole presented the “ATM” music video the same day. Eight songs from the album controlled spots on Spotify’s U.S. Top 10 chart dated April 21.

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West caught heat over the weekend after the G.O.O.D. Music head endorsed controversial right-wing commentator Candice Owens. This came after Kanye told the world he would have voted for Donald Trump and even met with the then president-elect at Trump Tower in 2016.

West’s embrace of what some people see as public figures that promote racist ideologies upset many of the rapper’s fans. A running meme on social media is that Ye is now in the Sunken Place, a reference to the movie Get Out where African-Americans’ consciousness has been taken over by Caucasians.

Following the latest round of backlash directed at him, Kanye actually joked about the negative reactions. The Chicago native tweeted, “I’m hand producing all the albums I tweeted about. Been chopping samples from the sunken place.”

Ye is reportedly overseeing entire projects by Pusha T, Teyana Taylor, and Nas. There is also a new solo Kanye West album as well as a joint LP with Kid Cudi set for release.

Kanye may not be too bothered about the Get Out jokes, but his wife has expressed she doesn’t find them funny. Kim Kardashian told Elle in March, “Another dumb f-cking Kanye/Get Out reference. People are so f-cking dumb and stupid.”

(AllHipHop News) Police in Brooklyn are investigating a shooting inside of the Barclay’s Center during the Adrien Broner/Jessie Vargas fight on Saturday (April 21) .

According to reports, cops believe an associate of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was the culprit, during a run-in with rival Brooklyn rapper, Casanova.

Police say 6ix9ine and an entourage were heading to a VIP area inside of Barclays when they crossed paths with Casanova and his crew.

A shoving match reportedly ensued and someone with 6ix9ine packing a .32 fired one gunshot inside of a confined area of The Barclay’s Center.

Both men appeared to address the issue on social media.

Casanova downplayed any beef and maintained a sense of calm.

“It won’t never happen again I’m off this internet s### can’t afford the indictment that comes along with it,” Casanova wrote. “Sticking to the music have a blessed day they won’t trick me I like being free.”

6ix9ine gleefully poked fun at Casanova on an Instagram post and seemingly referenced the shooting, even though police did not charge anyone in the incident.

According to Kanye, he is hand producing several albums for artists on his G.O.O.D. Music imprint.

“I’m hand producing all the albums I tweeted about. Been chopping samples from the sunken place 😂Pusha May 25th My album June 1st me and Cudi June 8th and Teyana June 22nd,” Kanye West tweeted.

Yeezy then dropped a bomb, revealing Queens, New York rapper Nas has a new album coming this Summer.

Last week, Kanye revealed his own new album would contain seven new songs, along with the joint project with Kid Cudi under the name Kids See Ghost.

The Lose Yourself MC, real name Marshall Mathers, took to Twitter to share his achievement with fans, after marking the milestone on Friday.

Fans were quick to heap praise on the hip-hop hitmaker for the achievement, which also earned Eminem a congratulatory message from his longtime friend and collaborator, Royce Da 5’9.″

Eminem, 45, has been open about his drug demons in recent years, after overcoming addictions to prescription pills like Vicodin, V#####, and Ambien.

During his first headlining set at California’s Coachella music festival last weekend, he dedicated his song “Not Afraid” to those battling similar struggles, as he gave thanks to his fans for standing by him during the tough times.

“I’m 10 years sober this week and I could not have done this s##t without y’all, so this song’s for you,” he told the audience, which burst into applause.

Eminem will have the opportunity to toast his sober milestone onstage tonight (April 22), when he repeats his set as he brings the second weekend of Coachella to a close.

He was joined by surprise guests 50 Cent and Dr. Dre during his first show on April 15.

The Weeknd and Beyonce served as the other headliners on the two weekends’ Friday and Saturday nights, respectively.

The beef between these two started off oddly, in the comments section on Instagram. Tekashi69 called Broner a clown in the comments section and the rest is history. According to reports, security has been increased for the fight this weekend to ensure there is no outbreak of violence at the fight in Brooklyn.

There has been rumored concern that Tekashi69 and his crew could try fighting Broner, also a controversial public figure with several open legal cases outstanding.

Tekashi implored Broner to “check in” after a number of comments were made online. In an apparent flex move, Broner visited Tekashi’s jeweler to make a purported $100,000 purchase since “6ix9ine was here.” Oddly, it has been widely reported that Tekashi’s chain cost $300k.

The 28-year old boxer does not have a title on the line and a loss here could be a career-killer even though he has only lost 3 fights. His last fight against Mikey Garcia back in July 2017 ended in a lopsided loss for Broner. Previously, his career trajectory seemed to be similar to a young Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The former four-division champion Broner will for for the big win at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn at 9 p.m. EST, televised on Showtime.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Kevin Gates is seeking to have the terms of his probation loosened, according to recently filed court documents.

Gates, real name Kevin Gilyard, was freed from an Illinois penitentiary in January, after serving nine months of a 30-month sentence for felony gun possession relating to an outstanding 2013 warrant.

Now the rapper is seeking a restraining order against John R. Baldwin, the Director of the Illinois Department of Corrections, as well as Ned Shwartz, who is a parole officer for the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Gates is suing because his requests to travel over the next several months has denied, even though he has complied with all of the terms of his probation and has been allowed to travel on two different occasions.

He is no longer under house arrest, he doesn’t have to wear an ankle monitor and the rapper has completed anger management courses in Cook County, Illinois, where he is completing the sentence.

The denial to travel could have a serious impact on Kevin Gates’ earnings, as well as his family life.

According to the filing, Shwartz’ refusal to grant the rap star permission to travel will impact several major concerts, including the JMBLYA Festival and Rolling Loud in May, the BET Awards in June and the Common Ground Festival in Michigan.

Gates, who was not a resident of Cook County, says the restrictions are interfering with him seeing his four children as well.

“The decision to deny the Plaintiff’s request is arbitrary and irrational since there is no rational relationship or a reasonable necessity by the Department to deny him permission to leave,” the lawsuit reads.

Kevin Gates is seeking a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction prohibiting his parole officer from denying him permission to leave so he can perform and see his children.

The gangsta rapper was a good boy growing up, who never disobeyed his mother, Doris – and when she decided he should take his ex to the big high school dance, he reluctantly agreed.

The British rapper, real name Stephanie Victoria Allen, signed a $1.7 million contract with Polydor in 2017, and has since scored a big hit with French Montana collaboration “Hurtin’ Me,” which peaked at No.7 in the British charts and recently released single “Ding-A-Ling” featuring Skepta.

And in an interview with Britain’s ES magazine, she shared how she received encouragement from the *God’s Plan” rapper on how to stay focused as an artist.

“I remember having a conversation with Drake just before I signed. He said, ‘Make sure that whatever you do your opponent is scared of you,'” she shared. “That really stuck with me.”

Explaining that while she respects Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, she doesn’t limit her ambitions to being the best female rapper or the best U.K. rapper.

And when asked if she considered herself a feminist, the 26-year-old responded: “I bring a lot of female unity, first of all. See my videos. I always support anyone who I think is dope, female-wise. Whereas a lot of females are scared of other females.

“The most confident females in rap are often not that confident when they’re not rapping and they don’t want to mention anyone else. I’m not scared of that,” she added.

Stefflon appears on British singer Raye’s new single “Cigarette,” which also features Mabel.
