Brother Involved In Jussie Smollett Hoax Lands Acting Gig

(AllHipHop News) One of the brothers who was allegedly paid by Jussie Smollett to stage an attack on the star has landed a leading movie role.

Abimbola Osundairo will make his acting debut in the upcoming movie “Friends Family & Lovers” as a main character, Dushon, which is set to screen at the University of Chicago this weekend.

The low-budget movie is directed and co-written by Michael Ballard, who also co-wrote the Master P produced comedy “I Got the Hook Up 2,” and marks Osundairo’s first onscreen role.

Meanwhile, former “Empire” star Smollett has been out of the spotlight since he was indicted on 16 counts after it was alleged he had staged a hate attack on himself for publicity.

He was later charged by police with disorderly conduct and filing a false police report.

Smollett has denied faking the attack and, in a lawsuit, he is claiming malicious prosecution against the City of Chicago.

He noted that Abimbola and his brother Olabinjo – the men accused of attacking him – were held for 47 hours and they adamantly denied any involvement in the assault, before later admitting to the attack but claiming it was faked.

Their lawyer called the actor involving them in the case a sad attempt to falsely smear them.

Smollett is suing the City, the Osundairo brothers and several officials, including Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson.

Cardi B Launches Twerkshop For Christmas In New Commercial

(AllHipHop News) Cardi B is getting into the holiday spirit with a festive new Pepsi ad.

The “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker has reteamed with bosses at the soft drink brand for a Christmas-themed promo, in which the rapper instructs a group of elves to hand out money as part of the company’s Gift it Forward campaign, promoting acts of charity.

Cardi, who traveled to London to film the commercial, reveals her love of the holidays made her experience on set a true joy.

“It just made me so excited, as soon as I got there I’m like, ‘We’re getting to the holidays,'” she told Billboard. “I’m really excited for the holidays this year because my baby’s a little bit older. I cannot wait to see her interact with her family. I love toy shopping.”

As for whether or not the “Hustlers” star will record her own Christmas tune, she reveals she finds the idea intimidating.

“I feel like those aren’t things you should touch,” she added. “You should leave it to Mariah Carey and leave it there. You don’t want to mess it up. You don’t want to put a Christmas song out and it don’t do good and it ruins your spirit. Listen, I am not playing with Christmas.”

Cardi made her first Pepsi appearance in a diner ad, which first aired during the Super Bowl in February and co-starred Steve Carell.

EXCLUSIVE: Damon Dash Sanctioned By Court For Angry Rant In Legal Deposition

(AllHipHop News) Damon Dash was just smacked with sanctions by a court in New York, over a wild deposition he gave yesterday (November 21st.)

Dame was at the law firm of Shukat Arrow Hafer Weber & Herbsman, LLP to answer questions over a lawsuit relating to a film “Dear Frank.”

In January, filmmaker Josh Webber and his Muddy Water Pictures accused Dame Dash of hijacking the film “Dear Frank,” which stars Claudia Jordan, Brian White, Columbus Short, Lil Durk, and Torrei Hart.

The legal drama between Damon Dash and Josh Webber started after the Roc-A-Fella founder began marketing his own version of “Dear Frank” under the title “The List.”

Webber says Damon was originally backing the production of “Dear Frank,” but he was quickly fired in 2018, for showing up to work high and acting erratically on the set.

During the deposition over the lawsuit, Damon Dash let almost everyone have it.

So much so, that someone in the office panicked and called 911 during a “melee” between Dash and his rival lawyers.

No one was arrested because Damon had left the office by the time the cops showed up.

“The Court hereby issues sanctions against Defendant Damon Anthony Dash in light of Defendant’s repeated disregard of court orders and highly inappropriate conduct,” Judge Robert Lehrburger wrote.

Part of the inappropriate conduct included at least twenty (20) different personal attacks on Plaintiff’s counsel Christopher Brown, in a span of 52 minutes.

Damon was also chastised for bringing an attorney who wasn’t representing him in this particular case, as well as his assistant Nicolette Durham and their dog.

Damon was also over 30 minutes late for his deposition, while the judge blasted Durham for answering questions for him during the deposition, which is illegal.

“At no time before November 21, 2019, did the Defendants ever discuss or mention the possible attendance of Attorney Howard, Durham or Dash’s dog,” snapped Josh Webber’s lawyer Christopher L. Brown.

The judge is ordering Damon to pay all of the costs and fees incurred by Webber in connection with the November 21, 2019.

The judge also shot down Dame”s request to amend his countersuit claiming it was untimely, unduly prejudicial, and futile.

EXCLUSIVE: Lil Nas X Fights Back In Lawsuit Over “Rodeo”

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Lil Nas X is denying an allegation that he stole one of us hit records from an unknown rapper.

Producer/rapper Brandon Lee sued Lil Nas and Cardi B. in October, over their hit song “Rodeo.”

He claims “Rodeo” sampled a song titled “Broad Day” by a duo named PuertoReefa & Sakrite Duexe.

Brandon Lee says that “Broad Day” was based on his song “gwenXdonlee4-142,” so he sued the pair.

Lil Nas X has replied to the lawsuit and is gearing up for a legal fight because he maintains Lee’s song it’s nothing like “Rodeo.”

“The work, ‘Rodeo,’ was created independently from and without knowledge of the allegedly infringed work,” Lil Nas X’s lawyers argued.

“The Complaint, and each purported claim for relief alleged in it, fails because the musical elements from ‘gwenXdonlee4-142’ supposedly used in ‘Rodeo’ are neither original to Plaintiffs nor copyrightable subject matter.”

A lot of money is at stake for the lawsuit “Rodeo” was featured on Lil Nas X’s debut EP 7, which features the smash single “Old Town Road.”

A judge has yet to rule on the case.

My Mixtapez Founders Talk Most Wanted Festival, Using App Analytics & The Company’s Future

(AllHipHop Features) Any true Hip Hop buff who was deep into the culture at the turn of the 2010s decade will tell you that there was just as much anticipation for free mixtapes as there was for commercial studio LPs. For example, Lil Wayne‘s Sorry 4 the Wait shook the internet when it hit the world wide web in 2011.

Tapes such as S4TW were not made available on iTunes – the most popular music digital store at the time – so fans needed another outlet to download Weezy’s pre-Tha Carter IV project. Thankfully, that same year saw the arrival of a new rap-focused application.

My Mixtapez has since sealed its place in Hip Hop history. The app exclusively launched highly-anticipated projects such as Wayne’s Sorry 4 the Wait 2 as well as Meek Mill’s Meekend Music and Meekend Music 2. Mixtapes by Future, Kevin Gates, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Moneybagg Yo, YFN Lucci, and numerous other rappers contributed to the over 100 million downloads on the platform.

After running a cellphone store owned by their parents, Danny, Ricky, and Juan Carlos Dueñas founded My Mixtapez in 2011 with no outside funding. My Mixtapez now also manages the King Stays King (KSK) label which is home to Project Youngin, eLVy The God, Carmen Mena, and Y&R Mookey. In addition, the Dueñas brothers have also consulted for Atlantic Records, Think It’s A Game Records, Quality Control Music, and 300 Entertainment.

On December 13, My Mixtapez is expanding its brand by hosting the inaugural Most Wanted Festival. Megan Thee Stallion, Moneybagg Yo, Boosie Badazz, Polo G, NoCap, and Black Fortune are among the names that are part of the Dallas-set line-up. Find out more about the Most Wanted Festival and the My Mixtapez execs in this exclusive interview with AllHipHop.

AllHipHop: Why did you decide to put together a festival now?

Ricky Dueñas: We’ve always been involved in live shows but at a smaller capacity. For the past six years, we’ve hosted our own stage and put on amazing shows with the biggest acts at SXSW and A3C Festival. It was a no brainer when AEG approached us for a potential partnership. Our biggest goal has always been to break artists and elevate them to the next level. Having an annual festival gives us another platform to offer artists that will help them take that next step into stardom.

AllHipHop: Why was Dallas selected as the site for the festival?

Ricky Dueñas: We were able to use My Mixtapez’s analytics to see where our users stream from and Dallas was among the top five cities. We also have a huge turnout at our SXSW stage every year so Texas is a great market for us.

AllHipHop: What was the process for choosing which acts will perform?

Ricky Dueñas: For any of our shows, the process always starts by looking at the app and seeing what artists are trending. By going through some of the analytics and doing some quick polls on our social media platforms, we were able to see Megan Thee Stallion’s growth early on and how important she is to Hip Hop right now. Each of the acts on the lineup are largely based on who’s trending on the app.

AllHipHop: How has My Mixtapez navigated in the Hip Hop space as the industry transitioned from the Blog Era to the Streaming Era?

Danny Dueñas: We actually started in the streaming era. My Mixtapez was one of the first mobile apps to start streaming services.

AllHipHop: Are there any particular exclusive My Mixtapez releases over the years that stand out for you?

Danny Dueñas: For me, it’s Lil Wayne’s No Ceilings 2. He was one of my favorite artists growing up. I went from selling his CDs in high school to premiering one of his mixtapes on the app, which was huge for me.

AllHipHop: What has been the most challenging and the most rewarding aspect of being part of Hip Hop culture for the last eight years?

Danny Dueñas: The most challenging was coming into the industry with no mentors. The most rewarding has been taking what I’ve learned throughout the years to mentor artists, independent labels, managers, and others in the industry.

AllHipHop: What’s next for My Mixtapez and King Stays King label?

Danny Dueñas: We hope to expand on the technology side of My Mixtapez and find new ways to create revenue streams for artists. The King Stays King label will continue to find untapped raw music talent in markets that aren’t common. We always look at cities that don’t give artists access to A&R teams or where they don’t have a platform to showcase their talent.

Oswin Benjamin: Talks About Rapping With K-Dot and Vibing With Kendrick Lamar

(AllHipHop Features) It is not always that you remember exactly when the universe introduces somebody to you. This interviewer remembers exactly when he met one Oswin Benjamin. It was at the Apple Store in the Soho area of New York on October 4, 2012. I was interviewing Kendrick Lamar, who had just dropped his major-label debut, and we were taking questions from the audience. One person stood up with a freestyle. That was Oswin Benjamin. Since then, the Brooklyn-born rapper has grown steadfastly and his impact has been felt all over the Hip-Hop diaspora. The rapper isn’t the sort that is of the normal ilk. He’s not a drug dealer rapper, not a pill popper, doesn’t indulge in excessive criminal activity in songs, but he’s got something to say.

To help him get there, Oswin Benjamin has enlisted the business acumen of legendary media personality Sway Calloway and his business partner Kelly Jackson to help the still young emcee manage his career. They are necessary for a number of reasons, but mostly to be a conduit to get a pure Hip-Hop spirit to the passes. There is much more to Benjamin than meets the rhyme and he’s got a story to tell that is as valid as any of his contemporaries. For those that complain about Hip-Hop, this is one artist you can count on. – Chuck Creekmur

Kim Fields Hints At A Possible ‘Living Single’ Reboot

(AllHipHop News) Do you want to see Khadijah James, Synclaire James-Jones, Maxine “Max” Shaw, and Regine Hunter back on the small screen? The characters from the popular 1990s sitcom Living Single could be getting the reboot treatment.

Veteran entertainer Kim Fields played the fashion-focused Regine on the Fox series. Fields stopped by The Tamron Hall Show for the program’s “Throwback Week” and she was questioned about a possible new version of Living Single.

“We have talked about it a little bit – the six of us and [Living Single creator] Yvette [Lee Bowser]. A lot of it deals with our schedule, because, praise God, everyone is working, everybody is busy, everybody’s got stuff to do,” responded the You Light Up My Christmas actress.

She added, “When Yvette asked, I said I would definitely be interested in seeing what that conversation is and being able to do it. But here’s the thing, with reboots you got to be careful because these characters are beloved and those storylines really meant something and they still resonate now. So don’t mess around, you got to get it right.”

Besides Fields, Living Single also starred Queen Latifah as Khadijah, Kim Coles as Synclaire, and Erika Alexander as Maxine. John Henton and T.C. Carson played the neighbors/love interests Overton “Obie” Wakefield Jones and Kyle Barker, respectively.

RIAA Applauds Bipartisan Ask Musicians For Music Act Aimed At AM/FM Radio

(AllHipHop News) Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Representative Jerrold “Jerry” Nadler (D-NY) co-sponsored a bipartisan bill known as the Ask Musicians For Music Act (AM-FM Act) of 2019. The legislation will modernize existing copyright law by requiring all radio services to pay fair market value for the music they use.

“When music creators share their wonderful gift with the world, we hear songs that inspire and unite us. We should encourage such thriving talent and ensure the music community is properly compensated for their work,” said Senator Blackburn. “The AM-FM Act will reward singers, songwriters, and musicians for their hard work when their music is played on the radio.”

The AM-FM Act looks to ensure fair compensation for music creators, end unfair practices harming the music market, and empower copyright owners with new consent rights. Exceptions will be provided for small and noncommercial radio stations.

“The United States is an outlier in the world for not requiring broadcast radio to pay artists when playing their music, while requiring satellite and internet radio to pay,” said Representative Nadler. “This is unfair to both artists and music providers.”

The Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee continued, “I’m proud to sponsor the Ask Musician For Music Act of 2019 which would give artists and copyright owners the right to make a choice to allow AM/FM radio to use their work for free or to seek compensation for their work. The bill would also allow them to negotiate rates with broadcasters in exchange for permission for it to be aired. This is what music creators want and deserve.”

The AM-FM Act has garnered support from Chief Industry, Government, & Member Relations Officer of The Recording Academy Daryl P. Friedman, SoundExchange CEO Michael J. Huppe, and National Music Publishers Association President/CEO David Israelite. Mitch Glazier, Chairman/CEO of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), issued a statement regarding the introduction of the Ask Musicians For Music Act.

“We applaud Chairman Nadler and Senator Blackburn for their leadership in introducing bipartisan, bicameral legislation to ensure creators receive fair market value for their music on all platforms. By requiring broadcasters to get permission from music creators to use their music in the same way broadcasters are entitled to give permission for the use of their signal – the AM/FM Act addresses inequities in law that should be fixed,” stated Glazier.

He added, “Introducing the AM/FM Act on the same day the House Judiciary Committee marked up the Satellite Television Community Protection and Promotion Act of 2019 [the “STCPP Act”] underscores a core principle: both broadcasters and creators deserve the same rights when it comes to the use of their property. The current state of the law granting broadcasters that right while denying it to creators is unjust and skews the market. We look forward to working with Chairman Nadler, Senator Blackburn, and the entire music community to pass this bill.”

EXCLUSIVE: Nicki Minaj Gets Small Win In Tracy Chapman War As Court Preps For Funkmaster Flex Deposition

(AllHipHop News) Today is a big day for rapper Nicki Minaj.

Veteran DJ Funkmaster Flex is supposed to be deposed in Nicki’s ongoing war with pop singer Tracy Chapman.

Funkmaster Flex, real name Aston George Taylor Jr., is caught up in Nicki’s nasty legal battle with pop star Chapman, over the rap star’s unreleased song “Sorry” featuring Nas.

The legal action started after Nicki tried to clear a sample of one of Chapman’s songs, called “Baby Can I Hold You.”

When Tracy Chapman refused, a copy of the song was leaked by Funkmaster Flex, just before Nicki released her fourth studio album, Queen.

Tracy Chapman immediately filed a lawsuit and blamed Nicki for leaking the record to Funkmaster Flex, in an attempt to drum up awareness for Queen.

Tracy Chapman says Funkmaster Flex blatantly admitted Nicki was the culprit in a tweet just before he debuted the unreleased song on his social media accounts and his legendary radio show on Hot 97.

Earlier this month Tracy Chapman maintained Nicki was stalling in the case by refusing to hand over text messages she sent to Funk Flex, as well as other documents.

During her deposition, Nicki testified she was waiting for Funkmaster Flex to sign a document her lawyer drafted, which would exonerate her of Chapman’s allegations that she was the source of the leak.

“Plaintiff’s Motion is DENIED with prejudice to the extent that it seeks production of the declaration(s) that Defendant presented to Taylor for his review and signature for use in this litigation,” Judge Suzanne Segal ruled.

Judge Segal dismissed Tracy Chapman’s request to get the documents, mainly because Funkmaster Flex is scheduled to be deposed today (November 22).

“The factual information contained in the draft declarations may be more directly, and less intrusively, obtained from Taylor in his November 22 deposition,” Judge Segal said.

Judge Segal has given Nicki 14 days to produce what is known as a “privilege log” which is a list of documents the rapper believes should remain private.

What Funkmaster Flex says or doesn’t say today (November 22) can make-or-break Nicki’s lawsuit.

According to Nicki’s statements in her deposition, it appears as though Funkmaster Flex might be tight-lipped if he does indeed take the stand to be deposed.

“It is uncertain if Taylor will be able to clarify how he came to be in possession of the ‘Infringing Work’ because he reportedly stated during an internal investigation that he did not recall how he obtained the song,” according to court documents.

Michael Rubin & Meek Mill Announce Plan To Donate Millions Of Dollars To PA Schools

Philadelphia 76ers partner Michael Rubin was among the many celebrities to donate to #Change4Change. He actually announced his $125,000 contribution during a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club.

Rubin initially pledged $100,000. The Kynetic founder later offered to raise it to $125K if Envy and Charlamagne agreed to wear a Sixers jersey once a week on the Power 105.1 radio and Revolt television show.

While appearing on the program, Rubin also revealed that he and Philadelphia rapper Robert “Meek Mill” Williams were committed to giving “millions of dollars” to Pennsylvania schools in 2019. The two friends also serve as Co-Chairs of the REFORM Alliance. The nonprofit organization’s mission is to fight to change the laws, policies, and practices that perpetuate injustice in America.

Additionally, Rubin and Williams recently met with Maurice Hudson in a Pennsylvania prison. Hudson was sentenced to 1½ to 3 years because he was unable to pay $1,941 in outstanding court costs. According to Rubin, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court granted Hudson his release this week.

French Montana Reportedly Hospitalized For Heart Issues

(AllHipHop News) French Montana is preparing to drop his Montana album in the near future. However, the Moroccan-American music artist is also supposedly recovering from a health situation at the moment.

According to TMZ, Montana was hospitalized in Los Angeles on Thursday after suffering from stomach pains, intense nausea, and an elevated heart rate. Law enforcement officials apparently called in the emergency following L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies arriving at Montana’s Calabasas home for a potential robbery.

The 35-year-old “Writing On The Wall” rhymer was said to be awake, alert, and receiving IV fluid treatment while in the medical facility. Sources suggested Montana may have been exposed to contaminated food while traveling overseas in Europe and the Middle East.

On Thursday afternoon, French Montana’s Instagram account posted a clip of himself with comedian/actor Shawn Wayans from Billboard‘s Quizzed” YouTube video. As of press time, he has not publicly addressed the reports of his hospitalization.

(AllHipHop News) Jahseh “XXXTentacion” Onfroy’s final full-length album, Bad Vibes Forever, is scheduled for release on December 6. A trailer for the late musician’s forthcoming project was published on YouTube.

In the video, Billie Eilish, Trippie Redd, PnB Rock, and more reflect on XXX’s impact. The Grammy-nominated Eilish called Onfroy “a beam of light” and “the most selfless kid” she ever met.

Bad Vibes Forever will also include the previously released singles “Hearteater” and “Royalty” featuring Ky-Mani Marley, Stefflon Don, and Vybz Kartel. The project follows 2018’s chart-topping ? and Skins. His debut studio album, 17, came out in 2017.

“Music saved me as an individual, because I was literally haunted by myself,” XXXTentacion was quoted saying before he was murdered on June 18, 2018. “As a person, I was lost. It gave me a purpose. Within that purpose, I became able to display my pain for others. Initially, it just felt good. After a while, I wanted to be like a therapist for these kids.”

He continued, “Anyone that was even slightly depressed could feel it. I was doing this for them as much as I was for myself. I gave them something to feed on. I gained attention from networking, marketing myself, and being an idiot on the internet, but the cult following is purely because of the songs.”

This is the OVO Sound recording artist’s first solo music since his 2017 Seven Days EP. PartyNextDoor’s discography also includes his self-titled series. Plus, the Canadian singer-songwriter put out the Colours and Colours 2 EPs.

Is Future Now Dating Steve Harvey’s Daughter Lori Harvey? Oh BOY.

(AllHipHop Rumors

Steve Harvey‘s daughter, Lori Harvey, seems to have moved on from P. Diddy. And now their relationship is officially over. Because now Lori is hanging out with another famous figure, Future, and they’ve publicly stepped out as

(AllHipHop Rumors) Steve Harvey has to be worried sick. The latest rumor is that his stepdaughter is now dating Future. As you already know, she has been linked to Sean “Diddy” Combs in an official capacity. This means she and Diddy and stepdaddy all went on vacation together and it seemed all good. But, when it came down to it, it didn’t work with the Bad Boy mogul. There was no horrible break up or anything and they didn’t harp on the tremendous age difference between them.

How we are looking at a situation that may mortify Steve Harvey or – perhaps relieve him. However, I have to confess, I think this is distressing to the Family Feud host. And the root world is…stressing.

Stever, don’t fret!

Future has more baby moms that I can count at this point, but that does not mean he cannot provide love and support to one Lori Harvey, right? And age-wise, he is more appropriate. Beyond that…who knows.

Now, the “sources” report that they came out at the highly poppin’ super all-white party for Future’s magnificent 36th revolution around the sun. MTO said everybody wore white as they were told and it was a cool party. This is where it gets murky. They said it LOOKED LIKE Lori and Future were close and ACTING as if they were a couple. So, this could be a perception thing from those observing. So there is no formal confirmation, but people want this for their headlines so they can get clicks.

Not me…I am definitely playing “money see, money do.” Holla back, but only if ya hear me!

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Issues Stern Statement About Comcast, Byron Allen & The Illusion Of Inclusion

(AllHipHop Opinion) My name and my network, REVOLT, have been mentioned recently by Comcast in reference to the Comcast/Byron Allen US Supreme Court case as an example of Comcast’s inclusive practices with respect to African American owned cable networks. While it is true that we are in business with Comcast, it is not accurate to use my name or my network as an example of inclusion. I do not want my name to be used inaccurately so I must speak my truth. I also want to make clear that this case is now about much more than cable distribution. It’s about the civil rights of millions of African Americans and other minorities.

First, it’s important that people really understand what’s at stake. In its efforts to get the lawsuit filed by Byron Allendismissed, Comcast has taken a legal approach that could weaken fundamental civil rights protections. I have a problem with this. The Civil Rights Act of 1866 section 1981 was designed to ensure Black people are able to do business in this country and not be denied because of race. Comcast is arguing that this law only applies if racial discrimination is the only factor that leads to a refusal to do business, which would be extremely hard to prove. If they are successful, it will become much harder for any victim of discrimination to seek justice in court. By taking this stance in the Supreme Court, Comcast has put its legal tactics ahead of the rights of millions of Americans to be heard. This is not OK.

Above anything else, my goal has always been to achieve true economic inclusion for Black people. How can Comcast suggest that it champions diversity and inclusion if it attacks the laws that provide the foundation for economic inclusion? What good are any of their efforts if they are fighting to make it harder for victims of discrimination to be heard in court? Comcast has made this about much more than Byron Allen, and now the civil rights of my children and my community are at stake. To be clear, anything that makes it harder to fight against discrimination is wrong. Comcast is choosing to be on the wrong side of history.

On REVOLT, I can only share the truth of my experience. Starting an independent cable network is incredibly difficult and capital intensive. The start we received from Comcast, which was a condition of the United States government approval for Comcast to acquire NBCUniversal, was important, but it is not the level of support needed to build a successful African American owned network. Not even close. Since that launch our relationship has not grown, and REVOLT is still not carried by Comcast in the most affordable packages nor is REVOLT available in all of the markets that would enable us to serve our target audience. Comcast spends billions of dollars on content networks every year, but just a few million go to African American owned networks like REVOLT. That is unacceptable.

Supporting diversity and economic inclusion requires a real partnership. The only way Black-owned networks grow and thrive is with meaningful and consistent economic support. Otherwise, they are set up to fail. REVOLT has never been in a position to truly compete on a fair playing field because it has not received the economic and distribution support necessary for real economic inclusion. Our relationship with Comcast is the illusion of economic inclusion.

Rather than using this case to diminish the civil rights protections of millions of Americans, Comcast should use this as an opportunity to listen to a community it relies on and, above all, do better.

Ambassador Sondland Told President Trump To “Play The Race Card” With A$AP Rocky

(AllHipHop News) President Donald Trump wanted to milk the international crisis involving rapper A$AP Rocky as much as he possibly could.

The political drama for A$AP Rocky unfolded on June 30, after he claimed he was accosted and attacked by a pair of alleged drug addicts on the streets of Stockholm, Sweden.

A$AP Rocky, born Rakim Myers, and several of his associates administered a severe beatdown to a guy named Mustafa Jafari, who pressed charges against the rapper.

President Trump was discussing A$AP Rocky during an infamous call on July 25th, with U.S. European Union ambassador Gordon Sondland, when he asked about the status of a secret deal he struck.

The conversation then shifted to Ambassador Sondland’s efforts on behalf of the President to assist a rapper who was jailed in Sweden,” David Holmes testified before congress today.

“Ambassador Sondland told the president that the rapper was “kind of F##ked there” and should have pled guilty,” David Holmes said and that Sweden should have released A$AP Rocky on President Trump’s “word.”

Ambassador Sondland then recommended that President Trump should let A$AP be sentenced, “play the racism card and then give the rapper a ‘ticker-tape’ [parade]” when he returned home Ambassador Holmes testified.

The shocking news was revealed today by Holmes, who was revealed he was within earshot of the conversation President Trump had with Sondland.

Democrats say President Trump was trying to get Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to launch an investigation into Vice-President Joe Biden, in return for over $400 million in military aid.

The comments follow the narrative President Trump actually followed when he and his wife Melania intervened on behalf of Rocky to put pressure on Sweden to release A$AP Rocky.

“I personally don’t know A$AP Rocky but I can tell you he has a lot of support from the African American community in this country,” President Trump said in July, the same month he was scheming against Biden. “I can really say from everybody in this country because we are all one.”

In August, A$AP Rocky went to trial and was found guilty of the assault in Sweden, but the rap star had already been freed and returned to the United States by the time he was convicted.

The rapper did not take the bait and has refused to acknowledge, or thank President Trump.

Rapper Gets Totally Naked In Rap Video!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Princess Nokia is a New York rapper that I am not fully familiar with, to be honest. That’s not a statement about her, but more of a statement about me. Either way, she has gotten my attention and the attention of a lot of rap fans. Her new song “Balenciaga” has people talking quite a bit. It has nearly surpassed half a million views organically and for good reason. Not only is the song solid – SPOILER – she strips totally naked by the end of the video. I am not mad at her! “Don’t do this sh#t to be famous…I do this sh#t because I love it,” she has said in the past! And I think we do to!

Remember when Erykah Badu did something similar?

I ain’t mad at any of it! Art is art!

Jussie Smollett Sues City Of Chicago For “Malicious Prosecution”

(AllHipHop News) With only forty days left in the year, it seemed the country would move into 2020 without any more news about Jussie Smollett. However, the former Empire star is back in the headlines this week.

According to reports, Smollett filed a counterclaim on Tuesday aimed at the city of Chicago after local officials sued the actor in April. Both lawsuits stem from the controversial assault investigation which eventually led to prosecutors announcing, then dropping, 16 felony charges against Smollett for allegedly lying about a hate crime.

Chicago is said to be seeking $130,106 from Smollett for costs of police overtime hours and a civil penalty of $1,000 for each of his alleged lies. The 37-year-old entertainment veteran is accusing the city and multiple police officers of malicious prosecution.

“Having agreed to accept $10,000 from Mr. Smollett as payment in full connection with the dismissal of the charges against him the City cannot seek additional recovery from Mr. Smollett under the doctrine of accord and satisfaction,” reads Smollett’s complaint.

Additionally, he also accused the Chicago PD of causing “humiliation, mental anguish, and extreme emotional distress” for supposedly disseminating “false and misleading information” about the case. Smollett still insists he was telling the truth about being attacked in January by two men in ski masks who called him racial and homophobic slurs.

Tyler, The Creator Talks Liking Women & Having Sex With Men

(AllHipHop News) Tyler, The Creator tried to come off as apathetic to getting a Best Rap Album Grammy nomination for Igor. On Wednesday afternoon, the Odd Future founding member just tweeted, “uhhhhh, i guess.”

Fans of Tyler know he likes to troll about nearly anything, including awards shows and his sexuality. Igor garnered a lot of attention for centering around the protagonist being involved in a love triangle with a man and a woman which added to the speculation that Tyler is either gay or bisexual.

He further fed into the rumors again during a feature story for GQ. The article quotes Tyler saying, “I like girls – I just end up f*cking their brother every time.” Like with many of his comments, it’s not clear if the 28-year-old musician was joking or if there was a hint of truth to the statement.

Early in his career, Tyler was accused of promoting homophobic themes. His frequent use of “f*ggot” in his lyrics and on Twitter was met with backlash, but he insisted he was not prejudiced against the LGBT+ community.
