“I’m proud to support the great work that Autism Speaks does, a cause that is so important to me,” Ice Cube explained. “My goal through this campaign is to not only help raise awareness but to also support this great organization’s efforts in promoting solutions for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.”

A$AP Rocky Unveils New Clothing Line With Guess

(AllHipHop News) Rap star A$AP Rocky has revealed his new capsule collection with Guess.

The rapper said he really put his creativity into the Guess Club line, which highlights oversized jackets, T-shirts and other pieces ranging from $49 $298.

The “man-child” explained his motivation for his second collaboration with the fashion brand.

“People actually understood my reasons for wanting to collaborate on that nostalgic collection,” A$AP Rocky told WWD. “Growing up with an urban hip-hop background, Guess was part of that, in the ‘Menace II Society’ films and in my household. It was my own twist on archival pieces.

“(The new line is) all about my imagination. I’m a man-child, so the collaboration represents colorful, fun clothes, like a clubhouse collection. Like that hat that says, ‘Password’ on it. It’s all tracking back to my childhood: Saturday morning and early afternoon with cereal and cartoons, toys, records and eight-tracks, Toys ‘R’ Us. I want to be a kid forever.”

A$AP Rocky’s Guess Club Line will launch on March 10. Take a look at the collection here.

Mary J. Blige and Macklemore Crush Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye On Billboard’s All-Time Chart Rankings

(AllHipHop News) For the first time ever, Billboard has gone through its extensive charts and produced a far-reaching all-time recap of the R&B/Hip-Hop Charts.

The new list ranks the genre’s top artists, songs, and albums, all over the past 60 years and some of the findings are, well, surprising.

The Temptations have landed at the top spot as the most successful all-time group, having tallied 16 number one singles on the chart since it began in 1965.

Unsurprisingly, Michael Jackson’s#### LP Thriller is number one all-time album, with a record 37 weeks at the top in 1983 and 1984.

Mary J Blige’s “Be Without You” ranked as the most successful R&B/Hip-Hop single in the history of the chart, powered by a 15-week reign at number one.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ tune “Thrift Shop” beat out a number of classic records on the All-Time Singles chart, including Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” (4) Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You)” (6) and Al Green “Let’s Stay Together (9).”

Over on the albums chart, The Black Eyed Peas’ placed right behind Michael Jackson with the second most popular album of all time, with their album The E.N.D.

MC Hammer landed at number five with Please Hammer Don’t Hurt Em while Eminem’s Recovery landed at #10.

As far as the greatest all-time R&B/Hip-Hop artists, Aretha Franklin checked in at number two, Stevie Wonder placed at number three and James Brown and Michael Jackson rounded out the fourth and fifth spot.

Drake and Jay-Z manage to make the All-Time artist list, clocking in at 19 and 20, as did Lil Wayne (28) Rihanna (30) and Chris Brown (37).

Take a look at the rankings here.

Somebody Claims They Beat Up Remy Ma?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Just when you think you have heard it all in the Remy Ma / Nicki Minaj dust up….there’s more. Now, this is a very hold video, at least 7 years old. STILL, Gloria Velez alleged in a video that she beat up Remy Ma once upon a time. That’s right. I bet most of y’all don’t even remember the Murda Mamis back in the day! They were a ill female Hip-Hop crew. Even LaLa was one at a point in time. Shout out to First Lady El! Anyway, check out the video and you can judge for yourself! She basically said that the Murda Mamis were infighting a lot and Remy was the hardest one after she left the crew. Well, she says she lumped up Remy. Oh, she also says that Nicki Minaj had mad surgery.

Do yall even remember Gloria Velez is? She goes back to the video vixen days, before Instagram struggle booties took over.

Swizz Beatz & Just Blaze Discuss Their Epic Beat Battle With ‘Drink Champs’

(AllHipHop News) Last week, Swizz Beatz and Just Blaze went head-to-head in a friendly beat battle that took place live on Instagram.

The two veteran music producers/deejays avoided a lot of publicity beforehand, but the face-off still managed to be one of the most talked about Hip Hop events of the year so far.

Following the over 2-hour battle, both Swizz and Just called into N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s Drink Champs podcast this week to discuss what led up to them making that memorable moment for the culture.

Swizz stated:

[Just] went on Instagram and he said what he felt which is all fun and love. I said what I felt which is all fun and love. I ended up doing an interview with him for something that he’s doing because it’s love. He wanted me to do something, but I was in the mix of doing other things. But I was like, “You know what? It’s Just. Let me make some time to make his interview happen for whatever he’s doing with his show with the producing stuff.” Then he brought up how him and his friend have been trying to take me out since “Money, Cash, Hoes.” I was like, “Y’all really been on this for a minute.” But it was love.

The Ruff Ryders affiliate also revealed the Jay Z, Nas, Jadakiss, and DMX record he played during the battle was set to be part of his album.

According to Swizz, the official version of the song will have the legendary emcees’ verses presented in a different order.

Just added:

It just so happened me and Swizz were hanging out this past Wednesday, just kicking it in the studio. That [conversation about battling] came up again. So we just decided alright, let’s do it on Friday. We had no plan. There was no idea. We had a little bit of a plan which is why things got off to a shaky start in the beginning. We had a plan that, due to technical issues, we couldn’t roll with.

We were initially talking about three sounds or four sounds or five sounds. It was going to be all new music. There were some technical issues at the last moment, so we had to go off whatever catalog he had on his computer and whatever catalog I had on my computer. It was great. It was fun for Hip Hop. It was one of the things that we knew it would be big. We didn’t know it would become a moment in the way that it did.

In addition, both hit makers announced more producers are discussing setting up their own beat battles as well as collaborating together on projects.

The “Swizz Beatz vs Just Blaze” battle was well received by the public. Video of the contest has collected over 870,000 views on Hot 97’s YouTube channel in just five days.

“I love what we sparked for Hip Hop. I can feel that the people felt it. That’s why I said the people won that day,” declared Swizz.

The Lox & Da Brat Weigh In On Remy Ma/Nicki Minaj Beef

(AllHipHop Rumors) Heavy sigh, we are on Wednesday, and Nicki Minaj still hasn’t responded to Remy Ma’s scathing diss track “ShETHER.”

While Nicki and her crushed feelings may be tight lipped, the rest of the world and the Hip Hop community have wasted no time revealing their true feelings on the subject. The latest folks to speak out are Da Brat and The Lox!

“Personally I don’t know Nicki. Everything she’s done is cool. Proud of her for representing the female emcee. I gotta go with Remy. I got history with Remy. She’s part of my era. I respect Remy. We friends…..As far as the bars, Remy’s bars has eaten the sh-t out of anything Nicki has ever said unfortunately; I’m sorry. Everybody now is just waiting. This is Hip Hop; this is real Hip Hop. Now we waiting on what Nicki is gonna say….. How can you be quiet because Rem took it all the way below the belt and went real deep,” said Brat

According to The Lox, Remy went gloves off, no prisoners. They kind of feel like Nicki should say whatever she can to hurt Remy’s feelings, but at the same time they don’t think Nicki could win this, and it may actually be smarter for her to fall back so that she doesn’t lose money.

“Gloves is off. Nothing she can’t..if you heard “ShETHER” Remy went no prisoners. That’s what it is in a battle and war…Say whatever you thinks gonna hurt her feelings….. She got too much stuff to lose,” said Jadakiss.

Styles P really wants Nicki to examine how much she has to lose before deciding to release a diss. He also says that Remy is going to take her to war even if she does respond.

“I don’t think Nicki can win this. I think it would be smarter to fall back. She’s gonna lose money,” said Styles P.

What are your thoughts?

Is Nicki Minaj Refusing To Respond To Remy Ma Period?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Welp it looks like Nicki Minaj is punking out of this rap beef with Remy Ma.

Nicki we are so disappointed in you! I mean to most, it looks like the girl is scared, and after Remy killed her on, “ShETHER” I really can’t think of a single thing that Nicki could say about Remy that could make her win this round.

Like Remy hit below the belt for over 6 minutes. What could Nicki possibly say? Apparently some folks in Nicki’s crew are saying that a Remy diss/ response track is never coming because they don’t want to give the “broke b-tch” the time.

It literally looks like Nicki is SCARED! Some of the Barbz are trying to say Nicki has too much to lose with going back at Remy. Some even say that she could even risk losing money and endorsements.

According to MediaTakeOut, an insider is saying that Nicki isn’t coming off of her “Rap Queen” thrown to address Remy. Now you know how MTO does, so here we go….

“We are not giving that broke b-tch any light. Her career was ShETHERED when she went to jail. She came out with that old 1995 flow, and the song was whack. There weren’t any real bars in it, she was just spitting some old MediaTakeOut gossip to a Nas beat. In a week no one is gonna be talking about that song, cause it’s whack. People are just talking about it cause of the gossip in it which is all LIES by the way. Once people get over the gossip, no one is going to be bumping it. Nicki could destroy her, but why. It would only make that dumb b-tch more relevant. We’d rather watch her starve. That b-tch is gonna be on EBT soon. We’re going to continue to make hit songs, and hit movies,” said the insider.

Do you think it will all just boil over? Do you think weeks and years later it will be a memorable diss, and we’ll still be looking back saying Remy killed Nicki? Is Nicki wack for not responding? Word on the curb is that Nicki still has some kind of revenge planned though.

Apparently Nicki feels like she may have lost the battle, but she’s surely going to win the war. What are your thoughts?

Stitches Issues Threats To Kanye West!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Stitches just won’t disappear huh?

Unfortunately Stitches made his way back into headlines last year when he was arrested on drug and gun charges after illegally parking in and handicap space, and Stitches somehow always finds his way back into the spotlight it seems.

Now the “rapper” is trying to steal the spotlight by threatening to fight Kanye West and impregnate singer Taylor Swift, all to promote his new song.

Issa tragedy! Stitches was attempting to get fans to promote his Swift and Zayn “I Don’t Want To Live Forever” remix titled “I Just Wanna F-ck You.”

The song is pretty much garbage, so I guess that’s why he turned his attention to Yeezy.

“Listen up, I want all my fans to go to Taylor Swift’s page and write, ‘Go listen to Stitches’ new “I Don’t Want To Live Forever” remix. So listen up Taylor, I’m with you baby. Next time I see Kanye West, I’m going to knock him the f-ck out for you. Yeah, I promise that. After that, I’m going to lick your a-s. You can come marry an ex-drug dealer and we can have a drug dealing baby. You know what I’m saying?” said Stitches.

Ye or Taylor probably won’t be responding to this mess. Stitches better lay low before he gets himself arrested again. Carry on.

Oscar De La Hoya Wants To Fight Eminem

(AllHipHop News) Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya is making the rounds to publicize the upcoming fight between Canelo Alvarez and Cesar Chavez Jr. on May 5, in Las Vegas.

De La Hoya stopped by DJ Whoo Kid’s#### show “The Whoolywood Shuffle” on Eminem’s Shade 45, and shared a variety of thoughts about the upcoming fight.

When the conversation turned to the station’s owner, Eminem, De La Hoya said Em is more than a rapper – he has some serious boxing skills, after training with the legendary, Emanuel Steward.

“The late great Emanuel Steward, who trained me for maybe about four or five fights, he once showed me a video where he was training Eminem. Man, he had some moves. He was punching the hand mitts and he was moving and he looked really good, actually, with a lot of power.”

De La Hoya thinks the rapper, who was once supposed to play the role of a boxer in the movie “Southpaw,” is good enough to give him a run for his money in the ring.

De La Hoya Oscar De La Hoya then challenged Eminem to a charity boxing match.

“I can come down in weight,” De La Hoya said jokingly.

Coachella Hacked And The Data Is Already Being Sold

(AllHipHop News) Fans who have bought tickets to this year’s Coachella may want to forget about who the headlining acts are and start worrying about who is selling their personal information.

Earlier today (March 1), organizers for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival revealed that their website has been hacked.

According to the festival, a bunch of user data has been compromised, although they claim “no financial information was accessed.”

But other sensitive data was stolen from Coachella’s database, including usernames, first and last names, shipping addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and dates of birth.

Users’ information is already being sold on the dark web, according to a report from Motherboard.

The company is warning people who have purchased tickets to Coachella to be on the lookout for phishing emails and urged ticket holders to exercise caution if they receive any emails or phone calls.

The news comes as Coachella organizers made the announcement that Lady Gaga would be replacing Beyoncé Knowles as the headlining performer at Coachella.

Coachella takes place over the course of April on 14, 15 and 16, and then again on the April 21, 22 and 23, at Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.

Other acts performing during Coachella include Travis Scott, Mac Miller, Schoolboy Q, Gucci Mane, Future, Tory Lanez, Kendrick Lamar, DJ Khaled, Lil Uzi Vert and others.

#AHHPowerfulWomen: AllHipHop Pays Homage To Powerful Female Leaders, Influencers And Bosses in Hip-Hop & Entertainment

“Femininity is part of the God-given divinity within each of you. It is your incomparable power and influence to do good. You can, through your supernal gifts, bless the lives of children, women, and men. Be proud of your womanhood.”

– James E Faust

This is truly the time of the woman, hands down. Throughout history women, in particular, minority women have always been the backbone—the support and the drivers of love, strength, and change in the world. It has finally come to a point where the recognition of how exceptional women are, is not only encouraged, but it is expected and demanded.

The world’s largest and oldest digital source for Hip-Hop and Urban Culture, AllHipHop.com has taken the initiative to kick off Women’s History Month with the #AHHPowerfulWomen Campaign to honor powerful women on the scene and behind the scene. These women inspire and serve as trailblazing executives, lawyers, publicists, and influencers impacting the urban music and hip-hop industry. During the month, we will highlight different women daily on the AllHipHop.com site.

Before we begin honoring these women, take a moment to think about what makes someone powerful. This isn’t only a measure of physical strength, or who is the loudest or has the highest executive position. Those are only fractions in the total measure of power. Being powerful is to be inspiring, to establish a reputation as a confident and knowledgeable expert with the experience to guide others. Developing and executing a plan, while understanding when to say “no.” A powerful person respects their own power and has the ability to find and accentuate the pieces of power and inspiration in others around them. That is POWER, and that is what makes each and every woman so powerful!

Join us to not only honor the successes these women have attained but to also celebrate their fearlessness as women, mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, and professionals!

Happy Women’s History Month!

Cam’ron Explains Why Snitching Is Good In The Donald Trump Era (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Dipset general Cam’ron famously denounced “snitching” in a 2007 interview with Anderson Cooper where the Harlem rapper said he would not even call the police on a serial killer living next door to him.

Cam later reportedly apologized for his comments on 60 Minutes, but the “Oh Boy” performer seemed to go back to his “no snitching” position during an appearance on  The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore in 2015.

Well, in the name of humor (and resistance to the current President of the United States), Cam is now cool with revealing information – if you have knowledge of what Donald Trump is really doing behind the scenes.

“Hi, I’m Cam’ron and where I’m from – the streets – there’s a saying: ‘snitches get stitches.’ But times change. With Donald Trump as president, y’all snitches have a civic ass responsibility to tell us what he’s up to,” said Cam in a video for The Daily Show. “So if you’re a member of the intelligence community, a government bureaucrat, or a disgruntled third wife who didn’t sign up for any of this sh-t, tell the world what you know, because from now on ‘snitches get riches.'”

Trump recently blamed former President Barack Obama for the many leaks coming from his administration.

However, Trump did not provide any evidence to prove Obama was involved in releasing information to the press.

Kmart Finally Issues A Statement After Dumping Nicki Minaj’s Clothing Line

(AllHipHop News) Kmart has issued a comment on their decision to drop Nicki Minaj’s clothing line from their retail stores.

News broke of Nicki’s line being dumped over the weekend, just as Remy Ma was unleashing her diss track “shETHER” upon Nicki.

Reps for Kmart said the line had been discontinued at the end of 2016, even though the story just leaked out over the weekend.

“Kmart is thrilled that we were the first retail partner to create a custom apparel line for Nicki Minaj. From the development of the line to showcasing it in stores to designing exclusive capsule collections, we have enjoyed a positive relationship with Nicki Minaj and her team over the last three years. As our partnership came to a close in 2016, we would like to thank Nicki Minaj for being a great partner and wish her continued success in her future endeavors.”

As a result of the weak sales, item in the clothing Nicki’s line have been slashed by over 50%.

Most of her garments are sitting in the clearance section on Kmart’s website. But the lousy sales are not necessarily due to lack of demand for Nicki’s line.

Kmart has been struggling for years and is scheduled to shut down 150 stores in 2017.
