On January 10, 2017, teenage sisters Iliana Eve and DJ Hannahbella are releasing their debut project Daddy Issues.
The two sisters, who are only 14 and 16 years old respectively, have experienced a whirlwind rise in the music industry recently.
Iliana Eve aka “Ana” had her first recording released through Snoop Dogg’s record label Doggy Style Records only a few months ago.
Since then she’s been featured on top publications such Billboard and Houston Chronicle and both sisters have been seen all over the internet on most of the popular hip-hop blogs.
Kanye West’s artist Cyhi The Prynce (G.O.O.D Music/Sony) who serves as one of Ye’s main songwriters and who is up for three Grammy Awards for his many contributions to the Life of Pablo album is featured on the teenager’s debut.
Eminem’s emcee Kxng Crooked of hip-hop super group Slaughterhouse (Shady Records) and Snoop Dogg’s new artist,
Heebz Street, appears on the project with the song Letters that Snoop has publicly supported and helped promote.
One of the hottest new rappers in the industry, 21 Savage, makes an appearance on Kylie’s Daddy.
Orlando’s Nitty Scott (Kendrick Lamar, Joell Ortiz) and Pulse Nightclub shooting survivor Patience Carter also shows up on the project along with the late Marsha Moyo, a UN ambassador and humanitarian from Zambia.
Renowned producer Jonathan Hay, who was selected as a TIDAL Rising artist through Jay Z’s streaming company, produced the bulk of the album.
“Over the years I’ve been able to work with what some consider the greatest DJ’s of all time, including a full album project with DJ Revolution and work with the late Roc Raida. DJ Hannahbella at only 16 is at that level right now – that really blows me away,” said Jonathan Hay.
Other producers that round out the Daddy Issues project include the multi-platinum Kemar McGregor (Musiq Soulchild, Sinead O’Connor), Benny Reid (Concord Records), frequent Hay collaborators Mani Ajami (Royce da 5’9, Twista) and Sean Dean (Showtime TV network).
Toronto’s rising star model Aneesa Badshaw, a creative director and performer on the album says:
“I met everyone involved in early December during a modeling shoot in Florida and I quickly fell in love with them and what they were doing. I find this project relates to me because I know what it feels like to have daddy issues. I grew up without my biological father being in my life until I started getting older. Since the day I was born I grew up with my stepdad, and he filled all of the voids in my life and made me feel that I didn’t need my biological dad.”
Daddy Issues is more than just an album. There is also a TV show in the works.
Industry veteran Ranna Royce who’s been focused on the television side of Daddy Issues says “Jonathan [Hay] and I have known each-other for over 10 years and there’s been nothing but creative energy and good vibes.
For the last few months we’ve been working on the TV show Daddy Issues and we are so excited for people to tune in and relate.”

(AllHipHop News) Troy Ave is beginning his 2017 by dropping new visuals from his White Christmas 4 project.
The video for his song “Sex Tape” has hit the internet, and the clip includes some explicit content.
Last month there were stories of someone attempting to extort Troy for a real sex tape involving the Brooklyn rapper.
At the time, Troy blasted the suspected individual and claimed the footage was actually for a future music video.

(AllHipHop Rumors) Chris Brown isn’t the only person fed up with Soulja Boy. Lil Yachty and Orlando Brown have a little bit of time for the “Crank That” rapper as well.
Soulja Boy became this week’s favorite joke when his interview with DJ Vlad hit the net. Soulja Boy tells a story that seems to be both fabricated and fradulent about him once shooting and killing a robber.
Social media wasted no time jumping in on the #SouljaBoyChallenge recreating the hilarious interview, and roasting the rapper.
Everyone from Joe Budden to comedians DC Young Fly, and Michael Blackson decided to get in on the fun.
I was waiting in the wings to see if Lil Yachty would jump in on the challenge, and sure enough, he couldn’t resist it. Their short-lived beef last year was quite interesting.
Lil Yachty decided to actually pick on Soulja Boy by pretending to be him. Yachty’s fabled story is about Soulja Boy once shooting his own uncle because he tried to scuff his Jordans.
Yachty also pokes fun at SB by saying he hasn’t had a hit since “Kiss Me Through The Phone,” and he used to sell ringtones. Yachty then pretends to cry [as Soulja Boy] because he feels like no one listens to his music anymore. LOL.
Then fans trolled Orlando Brown into thinking Soulja Boy was talking about him, so Brown immediately went off!
“I’m not about to quarrel with a n-gga that humps his homeboys,” said Brown.
“Everyone knows you hump your n-ggas. And you are happy about it; happy about rubbing d-cks.”
Orlando Brown also takes a shot at Soulja Boy’s former pal Arab. An associate of Arab once claimed that he was tired of being in the shadow of Soulja Boy and wanted to do his own thing, so he left.
“Tell the truth; shame the devil.” said Brown. LOL Orlando calls Arab his gay Lad that can’t rap either. He claims Arab left Soulja Boy’s camp because he was sucking Soulja Boy’s d-ck.
Aww man Orlando and one of his friends even jumped on SB’s “Crank That” record to record a diss song.
It’s to my understanding that a professional troll told folks to go on Orlando’s page and tell him that Soulja Boy had been talking about him to get him started. It looks like it worked lol.
It’s truly Soulja Boy Vs. Everybody, and it’s only January 3rd!

(AllHipHop Features) Generation Xers, are you ready to feel a dose of nostalgia? Millennials, are you looking to tap into some Hip Hop history? As we enter into 2017, take a trip back to 1997.
In that year, rap fans saw the arrival of talented neophytes such as Eminem and Missy Elliott. Critically acclaimed underground acts like Camp Lo and Company Flow shined.
With Rakim and EPMD dropping bodies of work, Hip Hop devotees were given the chance to experience new records by legendary vets. The world also got more music from two recent fallen emcees – The Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac.
Here’s a list of 25 rap albums celebrating their 20th anniversary this year.
(AllHipHop News) Late comedian Ricky Harris’ all-star send-off on Tuesday (January 3) was marred by a funeral home fight.
A bodyguard working for Snoop Dogg had to tackle an unnamed man who charged at the rapper as he waited to view his dead friend’s body at the Long Beach memorial in California.
Actress and comedienne Sherri Shepherd was at the funeral when the violence kicked off and the distraught star posted video of her reaction on social media.
“Somebody came in the funeral home and went towards Snoop and Snoop’s bodyguard tackled him… and then it was just a big fight,” she said. “It is so disrespectful to Ricky Harris. I can’t believe this… This is ridiculous.”
Ricky died after suffering a reported heart attack on December 26, 2016.
Reports suggest police were called to the funeral home but no arrests were made.
Snoop addressed the incident in an Instagram post.
“The devil’s a motherf##king lie, yeah he is,” Snoop Dogg said smoking a fat blunt. “We had a great time, great service. Rick, your spirit lives on baby. LBC’s finest, Ricky Harris, rest in paradise.”

(AllHipHop News) Soulja Boy and Chris Brown’s beef to start off the new year is getting crazier and crazier.
A few hours ago, Soulja decided it was a good idea to walk through Compton with his crew and name check the Fruits Town Piru Bloods gang set, which he claims he’s a member of.
It appeared that things were going well for Soulja, until he was accosted by another man who ordered him to “cut that weird s##t out” and took his phone.
As you can see in the videos below that are going viral, a little scuffle ensues and Soulja tries to get his cell back from the man who almost squared up on him.
Soulja and his crew also took some spray paint and vandalized a curb with the
Meanwhile, Chris Breezy, who also claims he is a member of a Fruit Town Piru set if Bloods, took credit for Karrueche’s fame, made fun of Soulja Boy and his homie Sean Kingston in another new IG posts.
It looks like Karrueche had a message for Chris too after she dissed Soulja Boy altogether.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper 50 Cent and Vivica A. Fox have been less than cordial over the years, since they stopped dating in 2003.
In fact, the two have been engaged in social media wars that have produced some very memorable, yet insulting memes.
Whether it was 50 Cent going at Vivica, or vice versa, both artists kept their fans entertained with their frequent disses to each other even though they haven’t dated in over ten years.
But things may have cooled down between the pair, according to Vivica A. Fox who ran into 50 Cent during last night’s New York Knicks game.
“I ran into him last night at the Knick’s game” Vivica told Wendy Williams on “The Wendy Williams Show” during a stop to promote her new show “Vivica’s Black Magic.
”Vivica said the meeting at the NBA game was purely coincidental.
“I walked over to him and I said Happy New Year, I introduced myself and said hello to everyone,” Vivica A. Fox continued. “It was in private, so there were no fans, no camera, nothing…someone has to be the bigger person.”
Vivica became emotional when Wendy Williams discussed her past relationship with 50 Cent, telling the talk show host she would “always have love” for the rap star, as she broke down in tears.
“I told him last night, I’ll always always love you, we’re not meant to be together but I will always have love for you.”

(AllHipHop News) An upcoming episode of The Simpsons will center around a Hip Hop theme.
Several high-profile entertainers contributed to the show which also serves as an homage to F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby.
Keegan-Michael Key (MADtv, Key & Peele) provided the voice of Jazzy James, a character described as a “washed-up rapper.”
Fox has now released a clip of Key discussing his role on the animated series.
“We were talking about how to settle on the voice,” said the actor. “He’s got small dreadlocks and for some reason a person who got small dreadlocks, he gonna be a little up here in his voice. I don’t even know why that’s the case.”
The hour-long “The Great Phatsby” episode will also feature cameos by Hip Hop stars Snoop Dogg, Common, and RZA.
In addition, Taraji P. Henson of Empire was cast as a guest for the show.
“It’s a tale of greed, excess, betrayal, revenge, and ruthlessness, and there’s a hilarious goose in it. The goose is really funny,” Simpsons executive producer Matt Selman told Entertainment Weekly in December.
“The Great Phatsby” is scheduled to air on January 15 at 8 ET/7 C on Fox.

(AllHipHop Rumors) Oh my! That escalated quickly!
In this week’s episode of Soulja Boy Vs. Everybody, not only does the whole internet make an appearance, singer Chris Brown happens to be a guest star!
Soulja Boy and Chris Brown have been beefing ever since Soulja Boy claimed that Breezy called him up and threatened him over liking some of Chris’ ex-girlfriend, Karrueche’s, social media posts.
Soulja Boy didn’t only like the posts in question, he also put heart-eyed emojis under them as well.
As you know, Chris Brown has been stalking Karrueche all week on social media letting her know that he wants that old thing back.
Both Chris Brown and Soulja Boy seem to be troubled souls, so you really don’t know who is completely telling the truth or whose side to take.
The two have been hurling insults and sending threats at each other all morning. They’ve even agreed to participate in a charitable fight.
As if leaking each other’s personal information wasn’t bad enough, Soulja Boy sent some pretty below-the-belt shots at Brown by alleging that he is simply a crackhead that uses and abuses drugs in front of his daughter. To add insult to injury, Soulja Boy also claims that this is why Karrueche doesn’t want anything to do with him.
Soulja Boy posted a video that surely may lead to a serious beat down. LOL.
“Aye CB you put this on yourself my n-gga. You started this. Now since you want to lie I’ma f-cking embarrass you; I’ma expose you. You just seen me at the f-cking studio my homies at the studio two weeks ago. Why you ain’t say nothing about this when you seen me. You snorted cocaine off the ssl board in the studio, snorting f-cking cocaine. Yeah I smoke weed; I sip a little bit of lean, but I don’t snort no f-cking coke n-gga. That’s why Karrueche don’t want sh-t to do with you. You a f-cking crackhead and you can’t take care of your daughter. Yeah you got money but you lame n-gga. Your baby mama aint got nothing good to say about you. What the f-ck you mean. Don’t act like I ain’t been to your house and been around your f-cking daughter n-gga. All you do is do drugs in front of her with hella f-cking 30, 40, 50 gang bangers in the house n-gga. You getting extorted n-gga them n-ggas don’t love you and they aint gonna ride for you. That’s what you don’t understand. You gonna get f-cked up. I’ma knock you out and I’m going to expose you,” he said.
Soulja Boy has brought Chris Brown’s baby girl, Royalty, into this now. This could certainly get ugly. They both need to seek help though.

(AllHipHop News) Jarobi White has labelled 2016 “one of the worst years” of his life following the death of his A Tribe Called Quest bandmate Phife Dawg.
While the group pushed forward to finish their first album in 18 years, entitled We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service, after Phife’s death, his passing had a major effect on White.
“S##t, 2016 was a f##king horrible year, like a f##king terrible year. One of the worst of my life. What stands out the most? I mean, the passing of…losing my brother. You know what I mean?” White told Cult Montreal.“That’s definitely like, there’s nothing that has shaped or impacted my life, nothing even comes close. Like, the record, like – nothing comes close to that.”
We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service was praised by critics and became A Tribe Called Quest’s second record to top the Billboard 200 chart following its release in November (2016).
While the reception to the record was welcomed by the band, White admits he has mixed feelings due to Phife Dawg’s tragic death.
“People ask me that, like ‘How does it feel?’ and all that and I can’t really explain it,” he said. “I’m super happy they’re enjoying it and feel good about the project. But you know, I wish that Phife was here to see how much all of these people love us. It’s truly, truly, truly, truly humbling. For us not to have put out a record in so long and people still pay attention, in itself, is crazy.”
However, White is convinced that Phife is well aware of the group’s success as he looks down on his bandmates.”
This album is definitely a living tribute to Phife,” he concluded. “And it’s very gratifying for this s##t to be number one in like, 30 countries or whatever it is? Know what I’m sayin’? Wherever Phife’s sitting, he’s like, ‘That’s aight (alright)!’ Definitely.”
(AllHipHop News) Karrueche Tran has weighed in on the growing war between her ex-boyfriend R&B singer Chris Brown and Atlanta rapper, Soulja Boy.
The pair have been trading shots at each other on social media all morning today (January 3), after Chris Brown supposedly became upset over Soulja trolling Karrueche’s IG page and liking her pictures.
Both artists have threatened each other, and deleted some posts, and Chris Brown even challenged Soulja Boy to a boxing match for charity.
Soulja Boy “graciously” accepted the offer.
TMZ.com caught Karrueche shopping in Los Angeles, where she addressed the escalating feud between the two men.
Karrueche totally dissed Soulja, brushing him off and said he was definitely not her type.
