2016 also saw the arrival Kendrick Lamar’s untitled unmastered, Isaiah Rashad’s The Sun’s Tirade, Lance Skiiiwalker’s Introverted Intuition, and Ab-Soul’s Do What Thou Wilt.

(AllHipHop News) A man who was involved in the shooting death of rapper L’A Capone in 2013, is looking at a long stretch behind bars.
A judge has sentenced Meiko Buchanan to 45 years in prison, for his role in the September 2013 shooting.
Authorities say that Buchanan admitted to driving a “tail car” to insulate the lead car that was traveling in front of him, filled with gunmen looking for L’A Capone.
According to Buchanan, he watched the shooter roll up on L’A Capone as the rapper was leaving a recording studio

In 2009, at the tender age of 14, JUS began taking his own music seriously using a desktop computer in his living room. By 2015, JUS had already released 3 mixtapes, the latter two, titled “The Chase” (2013) and “Any Given Sunday” (2015), being original works in collaboration with a high school buddy, keyboardist “Kavar.” Songs from these projects have seen popularity on the music site “Hot New Hip Hop.” Still in high school, JUS linked up with Long Island producer Dee Wiz and wrote a record titled “Hands Up”, which was later recorded by Grammy nominated rap-duo Salt-n-Pepa. JUS was recently interviewed on Sway in the Morning and spoke about his current plan for his music stating ”This is my last semester though. Once I graduate then it’s all music. The last few records I put out have been growing pretty well. The first record I released, “On My Own”, has been getting a nice response and I’ve had some people reach out to me about that record alone. I’m working to get this new music out, because it’s a different vibe from what most of the youth is putting out and I feel these are the songs that will get people listening and paying attention”.

Chris Brown certainly wasted no time getting the “Party” started as he dropped the visual for his new single “Party,” featuring Usher & Gucci Mane, minutes after the song hit the ‘net.
The self-directed video showcases Chris’ creativity and his signature dance moves that we all love him for. Even Gucci Mane recently expressed how inspiring it is to work with Breezy as Brown directs his own visuals, and he’s very hands-on in the entire creative process.
“It’s a banger,” Gucci told LA Power 106. “We shot the video…in L.A. I can’t wait until it comes out. Chris directs his own videos. Sitting with him and seeing how creative he is, it’s inspirational. He’s intense. He does everything. Seriously.”
“Party” was written and produced by A1 Bentley and Lyrica Anderson, and the choreography-filled video begins with Breezy trying to gain admittance into an underground club by showing off his insanely-good dance skills.
It wouldn’t be a complete or true Chris Brown and Usher collaboration if Usher didn’t slide in and show off some of his own dance moves as well. Guwop slides in at the end of the party and turns up in true rap-star style.
The single is off of Chris’ forthcoming album ‘Heartbreak On A Full Moon’, which will drop in early 2017.

One thing that’s for sure is Dr. Omarion doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. The R&B veteran recently received an honorary Doctorate degree in music from Southshore International College Prepatory, and he took a moment out to show everyone how to properly execute the #MannequinChallenge is his new video for the SAP-produced “Okay Ok” featuring C’Zar.
Although it’s been over 10 years since O dropped his debut album, the R&B crooner proved once again that he still has those signature dance moves and that hit-making ability.
Omarion has given fans something to hold them over until the release of his fifth studio album, ‘Reasons’, which is slated for release early 2017.

(AllHipHop News) Chart topping rappers Jeezy and Future graced the 33rd Annual The UNCF Mayors Masked Ball Atlanta, where they helped raise millions for students pursuing a college education.
The fundraising gala took place at the Atlanta Marquis Marriott yesterday (December 17) and is one of the premiere events in the city of Atlanta.
And the rappers donated more than just their time and celebrity to UNCF.
According to representatives, Jeezy and Future donated $25,000 each, as did Usher and Tyrese.
In total, the 33rd annual event raised over $1.5 million, which will go directly to UNCF.
The non-profit organization helps prepare young African-American men and women for their journey through college.

Young M.A. is one of the hottest and most controversial artists out these days. And now she has become a target. First, there was Kevin Gates younger brother, who says the BK rapper took his $30k over a concert mishap. But, now there is something that has turned more serious with the young rapper.
King Yella has been offended over a line that M.A. rapped that seems to make light of the murder of Tooka. Those hittas from O’Block 300 killed him and Chief Keef rapped about it once. Others have mentioned it and the result was humbled apologies. So, it would seem that this is what Young M.A. will need to do. King Yella has put a hit on her, but there is a catch. He will only wants “d####” (his words!) to get M.A. and he put his money where his mouth is. I can’t believe this is happening and Young M.A. doesn’t even have an album out yet! And yo already know, they will record it. I would assume M.A. is going to get the army brigade with her everywhere now since I’d assume whoever does it could be anywhere. God Bless Us All. Cee Lo seemed genuinely upset for the panic he caused.
“Please forgive me y’all,” the rapper said clearing his throat. “I’m still going to release the music though, but first and foremost for everybody that loves me and cares about me, I just want to let y’all know that I’m ok.”
