AHH Stray News: Nicki Closes In On Aretha Franklin, Akon Racketeering, Sir The Baptist Drove For Lyft

Nicki Minaj has broken a tie with Taylor Swift to become the second most prolific female in Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The hip-hop star has landed her 70th Hot 100 hit by debuting “Black Barbies,” her reworking of rap brothers Rae Sremmurd’s hit “Black Beatles,” at 65 on the new countdown. That’s one more than Swift and just three behind Aretha Franklin. “Black Barbies” is also the new chart’s highest debut this week.

Akon

R&B star Akon has been accused of hiding his finances to avoid paying a producer’s royalties. Leland Clopton claims Akon’s record label bosses at Konvict Entertainment hid the star’s accounts for years to keep him in the dark and avoid paying him money he was owed for producing a number of songs for the musician. Clopton claims Akon kept his royalties for himself, and accuses the singer of “racketeering.” The producer, who has been working with Akon since 2008, suggests he has potentially lost millions, and he is asking for at least $1 million.

Chicago rapper Sir The Baptist is featured in a new campaign explaining the positives of working for Lyft. Before Sir started making a name for himself in the Hip-Hop scene, he was a driver for Lyft in the Windy City to earn a little extra side money. Sir The Baptist contributed a new song titled “Moving” to Lyft’s shortfilm “June.” The film was conceived by Lyft’s creative director Ricardo Viramontes, directed by Academy Award-winning director, John Kahrs, and scored by Emmy Award-winning composer, Christophe Beck. “‘June’ connects communities by blurring lines between riders and drivers and highlighting that we are all one in the same,” said Viramontes. “Empire” Star Serayah Talks Taylor Swift, New Music And How She Is Not Tiana

(AllHipHop Features) With “Empire” having just aired it’s season three fall finale this week, it’s all systems go for actress Serayah McNeill who plays sultry Empire artist Tiana on the show. With a highly anticipated debut solo album set to drop by the end of this year or early 2017, Serayah had a lot to say about the behind the scenes atmosphere on “Empire,” her dream team musical collaborations for her upcoming album, her favorite show to watch when she’s not working on “Empire,” and what it was like to tackle hot button issues like bisexuality on the Fox television hit. Take a look at what she had to say below:

AllHipHop: You have some new music that is coming out. Can you give us a hint as to whom you will be working with or would like to work with in order to make a real statement with what will be your first album as a solo artist?

Serayah McNeill: I’ve been working with this producer named Donut. I’ve been working with Ester and a few others and hopefully more. But I’d definitely love to keep the team of just a couple people and have a sound that’s consistent, so I’m not too much focused on having everyone on the project, I just want it to be great.

You’ve had some real success with your Empire songs “Aces High” and “Look But Don’t Touch” as performed as Tiana on Empire. Can fans expect some of these Empire songs alongside new Serayah originals on your debut album?

SM: I’m looking forward to doing all originals, but we’ll see. I feel like if “Aces High” does good enough and things like that, as like “Look But Don’t Touch” did, of course, but as of now it’s all originals.

Your friend Taylor Swift is extremely prolific when it comes to dropping a new albums and working with others on exciting projects. Do you think that the two of you will eventually end up in the studio together?

SM: Maybe, but I don’t see as far as us planning to do something, but if something organically happened, that would be amazing.

Exactly how is the new album going?

SM: The album’s coming along great. I’m actually still working on it, it’s a work in progress. I’m really excited about it and everyone that I get to work with and in the future that I’m going to work with.

So, seeing as you are still working on it, is it still scheduled for the end of this year or might it bleed over into the new year?

SM: We were hoping by the top of the year, but I think we’re going to push that a little bit and just give it some more time to really be great.

You’ve really developed a strong following based on your style as Tiana, but she is a fictional character. Seeing as you aren’t Tiana but the people who are your fans know you best as Tiana, what is the difference between your sound and Tiana’s sound? Will their be a marked difference when it comes to your debut album, or will you have pretty much the same style?

SM: I feel like the overall sound is going to be the same—not sound but as far as the regular listener listening to the song, my voice is going to sound familiar because obviously I’m singing and adding some of me on the tracks for Empire. But the vibe will be different, a little bit more sultry as well as the pop and the fun stuff but more sultry, soul, R&B stuff as well.

In putting together this solo album, without giving too much away, do you or did you have a secret short list when it came down to must do collaborations? Also can we expect to hear any of your Empire costars as featured artists?

SM: Yes, actually, I do. I hope to collaborate with Jeremih or someone that’s really good right now that’s out. I love Nick Jonas, Jeremih, they’re really great. But as far as right now I don’t have anyone from the show being on it.

Let’s switch gears for a moment.   Undoubtedly it must be very exciting to play such a key role on a show as popular as Empire. Nevertheless, at times it’s got to be hard playing a character who is so close to who you are as a young emerging musical star yourself. Given that you’ve had three seasons to grow with this character and work with the writers on the show to make her as real as possible, what parts of Tiana are all you? Additionally is there anything that you really fought for that you needed Tiana to represent fictionally due to who you are in real life as Serayah?

SM: I would say me and Tiana have a lot of similarities as far as being a go-getter and a dreamer and singing and dancing. All this stuff is what I’ve always wanted to do.  And yes, of course, this is what I’ve wanted to do my whole life, so definitely I’ve been in the shoes of fighting all the no’s and waiting to get the yes and once you get the yes, pressing forward and doing what you can with your opportunity that you got.

In the show, Tiana’s love life – in particular her on again off again relationship with Hakeem – is a big part of the show. Empire isn’t shy about exploring love and sexuality in all of it’s forms and Tiana has been portrayed as bisexual on the show. How did you initially feel about portraying a character that was bisexual? With the season three fall finale now done, it appears that Tiana is heading towards a more traditional relationship with Hakeem, but do you think that Tiana will once again explore less conventional relationships?

SM: When I first got word that that was what was going to happen, I didn’t know how to feel, to be honest. I have no problem with people who are bisexual or transgender or anything like that, but to play a character I just didn’t know—it wasn’t in her breakdown. It came to me later in the script. I just wanted to know where she was coming from as far as an actor. I didn’t want to just be doing it. So my only thing was just to have a talk with the writers and be like okay, why is she this way? What we came down for with the character is that she was going through a period of being in the industry, being in the fast life, and some people get caught up and they start trying things they’ve never done, whether it’s drugs, whether that’s being bisexual, whether that’s whatever and they go on this fast road. But the thing for Tiana was it was just an experiment and she’s like not for me, and that’s what it was. So I had a far greater understanding about it after we talked.

Did you ever get any sort of mail from the LGBT community based on your portrayal?

SM: I don’t think I got any mail, but I definitely get recognition. When I’m out on the street, I definitely have the gay community on my side for sure.

To delve back into your relationship with Empire’s writers and your input and wishes for your character as the show continues, is there anything that you really want for Tiana on the show in the future?

SM: I always wanted Tiana to collaborate with Jussie, and in future episodes she finally gets to. Now I think she’s good. It would be amazing if she had a collaboration with a guest star on the show. That would be really cool, but other than that, I think I’ve reached that now that I got to do a song with Jussie. It was really cool.

What’s your favorite TV show right now other than Empire? What do you like to watch when you’re not working and you’ve got a little time?

SM: I’m really into this show called Insecure. It’s on HBO. It’s hilarious.

That show is incredible and it’s star and creator Issa Rae is amazing and hilarious. Somebody should float the idea of Issa Rae doing a guest spot on Empire. That could be a mic drop moment.

SM: Yes, Issa. Yes, that would be pretty good.

Lastly, who are your big influences? Who inspires Serayah to keep on going as an actress, musical star and overall artist looking to make her mark?

SM: Music career, I would say definitely probably a mix between my mom, Sade and Beyonce or Janet Jackson and Beyonce. I say that because obviously my mom supports everything I do and makes sure that I’m doing the best that I can all the time, even when I don’t want to or when I don’t feel like going anymore. I’d say Janet because she’s an amazing performer, and she just goes in on stage. I’d say Beyonce because she has an amazing career, and she’s such a big businesswoman in the midst of being a celebrity. So those three are my top.

HOT NEW HIP-HOP: “Everything Black” TruthCity feat. No Suh Foster & Wordspit The Illest

(AllHipHop Music) Racial relations are at a fever pitch. The music is representative of that if you get off these corny, agenda-based websites that make you think there’s nothing other than goofy rappers out there. So enter TruthCity’s “Everything Black.” The song is remarkable. It oozes what you are feeling, but may be too scared to post on Facebook. No Suh Foster and Wordspit support this politically charged, furiously barbed song. Shout out to YL On Dem 808s for the sonic contribution.

E-40 Schools Kodak Black & Lil Yachty Amid Beef

(AllHipHop Rumors) You gotta love E-40 man!

Your favorite rappers Kodak Black and Lil Yachty seemed to have a mix up about who can use the lingo of broccoli when referring to weed in their music.

Kodak Black goes at Lil Yachty and D.R.A.M. basically saying that these cats and others are out here jacking his lingo and his swag.

“Man what the f-ck. Who these n-ggas is jacking my little swag talking about broccoli. For now on I don’t smoke broccoli; I smoke cantaloupe since you square a-s n-ggas trying to steal my little swag.”

Lil Yachty definitely took a little time out to respond by saying he always gives props to Kodak, and he has never been a square.

Luckily E-40 had time to take the kids to school by informing them that in 1993 he referred to weed as broccoli, and in 1998 he made a song called Broccoli.

“F-ck beef get money,” tweeted E-40.

You would think these mumble rappers would try to step their game up instead of beefing over nothing. But, carry on!

Here’s 20 Viral Hip Hop Related Memes From 2016

(AllHipHop Features) First off, to all the die hard 80’s/90’s Hip Hop fans who may feel some type of way about internet memes becoming such a big part of the culture, it’s time to accept the humorous pics and vids are now a popular (and permanent) way to document what’s happening.

Visual art like graffiti has been a Hip Hop staple since the beginning. In the 21st century, creative people have just gone from tagging buildings or train cars to posting content on Instagram or Twitter.

AllHipHop.com takes a look back at some of the most shared, talked about, copied, and criticized Hip Hop related memes of 2016. From Amber Rose forever changing the meaning of the “pointer finger” emoji to a children’s cartoon getting a grown-up makeover, here are some of the most viral digital jokes and online challenges of the year.

50 Cent Hands Meek Mill Another “L”

Meek Mill – fairly or unfairly – is a name that’s constantly associated with taking a loss. Even the Dreamchasers leader had to submit to 50 Cent’s Instagram bullying methods, as the NYC veteran continued to come up with meme after meme during the two rappers’ feud earlier this year. Of course, the rest of the internet joined in on Fiddy’s IG assault.

Amber Rose Shuts Down Kanye West With “Finger In The Booty” Tweet

Amber Rose made an official claim for the title of “Clapback Queen” when she went deep into her insult vault for ammo against her ex-boyfriend Kanye West. Yeezy made the mistake of bringing Amber’s son into his back-and-forth with Wiz Khalifa. The result was the #FingersInTheBootyAssB-tch tweet read ’round the world.

Birdman Demands The Breakfast Club Put Some “Respek” On His Name

What has been called the shortest Breakfast Club interview ever, may also be the source of the most viral Breakfast Club moment ever as well. It took less than 3 minutes for Birdman to give the internet three new classic Hip Hop quotes. “Put some respek on my name,” “all tree of y’all,” and “y’all finished or y’all done?” are now forever part of the rap lexicon. And the memes spawned from the brief sit down are just as memorable.

Drake Takes Several Seats Thanks To Views Album Cover

The OVO Sound returned in April with Drake’s fourth studio album Views. Prior to the LP hitting stores, the platinum-selling performer revealed the cover art for his latest body of work. The image featured the Young Money representative sitting on Toronto’s CN Tower, and social media users then decided to place Lil Drizzy in uncommon places and situations.

J. Cole Reigns Over A Cole World With No Features

This summer, congrats went out to J. Cole for his 2014 Forest Hills Drive album earning double platinum status. The RIAA certification once again sparked fans and haters to take part in the “Cole went platinum with no features” discussion. In this era, we can’t have a major online conversation without corresponding memes.

People Are Completely Confused By Desiigner’s “Tiimmy Turner” Freestyle

Desiigner exploded on the music landscape with “Panda.” The #1 single had a lot of listeners scratching their heads about the song’s lyrics. Things got even more confusing when the Brooklyn-bred entertainer started crooning about The Fairly OddParents character Timmy Turner during his XXL Freshman freestyle. Parody versions were inevitable.

Fabolous’ Face Says It All About Desiigner’s BET Awards Performance

It didn’t take long after the “Tiimmy Turner” trend for Desiigner to become the subject of another meme-ready moment. The G.O.O.D Music signee’s energetic performance at the BET Awards left Fabolous looking concerned. Fab would later hop on Twitter to say “Desiigner just caught me off guard,” but his facial expression appeared to tell a different story.

New Yorkers & 1990’s Heads Drag Rich Homie Quan For Flubbing Biggie Lyrics

Note to any professional rappers: make sure you memorize and practice any public tributes you have planned for iconic Hip Hop figures. If you don’t, you could end up on the wrong end of significant internet hate. Just ask Rich Homie Quan what happened to him after he mangled The Notorious B.I.G.’s  “Get Money” verse at VH1’s Hip Hop Honors.

21 Savage Makes Sure People Know His Face Tattoo “Issa Knife”

Atlanta rhymer 21 Savage aided in pushing rap music back towards the dark side with his haunting, addictive tunes like “No Heart.” On the flip side, the Slaughter Gang front man did bring smiles to some peoples’ faces thanks to his interview with VladTV. The Q&A included 21 declaring the tattoo on his forehead was a knife, not a cross. And “Issa Knife” was born.

People Party Over Kim K Exposing Taylor Swift’s “Lies” About Kanye

While Kanye West was on the losing end of his 2016 feud with Amber Rose, Yeezy and his wife Kim Kardashian picked up a win in their face-off with Taylor Swift. Kim K uploaded audio to Snapchat of Swift that seemed to show the Pop princess was lying about her disapproval of Kanye’s “Famous” track. KimYe’s followers then caused #KimExposedTaylorParty to trend on Twitter for hours.

Joe Budden Hits The Running Man During Run-In With Drake Stans

Stans can sometimes go to extremes to show support for their favorite artist. That was the case when a few Drake devotees drove up to the house of Champagne Papi’s tormentor Joe Budden. However, it was Budden’s response to the interaction that became a prime mark for digital disses. The podcast host took the jokes in stride and even promoted merch with images from the run-in.

Bow Wow Embraces His “Transracial” Identity?

Shad “Bow Wow” Moss is a favorite target for trolling by social media users. The former child star faced a torrent of heat after Bow said he didn’t feel obligated to vote because he’s mixed race. No, most people did not understand Shad’s non-voting explanation and a lot of skeptics did not accept his claims of being transracial multiracial. The meme makers did have a field day though.

Arthur Gets A Hip Hop Makeover

Kermit the Frog was by far the breakout meme star of 2016, but another kid’s TV show character had a nice run too. Across the net, Arthur Read and his friends from Arthur were quoted rapping, singing, and ranting famous lines from Hip Hop’s#### makers.

Chance The Rapper Gets Emcees Everywhere To Take The #SoGoneChallenge

Many aspiring wordsmiths were ready to put their talents on display. So when Chance The Rapper helped launch the #SoGoneChallenge, countless rhymers – including celebs – uploaded videos of themselves rapping over Monica’s 2003 hit “So Gone.” The R&B singer eventually shared her own version of the challenge featuring a guest appearance by Missy Elliott.

Young Thug Rocks “Antebellum/Asian Chic” For Jeffery Cover

A good number of people may not know that Young Thug’s Jeffery mixtape was well received by music critics. A much larger number of people are probably well aware of the project’s artwork. The image of Thugger in a ruffled dress flew across the web, and photoshoppers made sure the pic lived on even longer.

Rae Sremmurd Provides The Soundtrack For The #MannequinChallenge

Yung Joc Gets His Hair Laid… And Loves It

When starring on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta isn’t enough to get the attention you want, what can you do next? Yung Joc’s effective publicity stunt was to get his hair permed and post a pic on the Gram. The “It’s Goin’ Down” performer then quickly saw the unkind wrath of the internet. Joc later claimed he was the one that created some of the memes, but everybody wasn’t buying it.

Conceited, The Battle Rapper That Became A Living Emoji

Battle rap has survived as a popular below-the-radar culture which has yet to cross over into the mainstream. However, this year saw one battler become a widely recognizable face, but it had nothing to do with his bars. Wild ‘n Out star Conceited’s facial reaction became the perfect response for tweeters wanting to express: “That’s a g###### lie!”

Hillary Clinton Channels Death Row As A Staff, Record Label & As A Motherf-cking Crew

Hillary Clinton may have lost the election, but for at least a brief moment the former Secretary Of State won the internet. Twitter user @double_cupp_me noticed Hillary’s outfits in the presidential debates were very similar to clothes worn by one-time Death Row Records representatives Snoop Dogg, Suge Knight, and 2Pac. The tweet was retweeted over 100,000 times, and HRC was asked about her Death Row “inspirations” on The Breakfast Club.

The “New Kanye” Wants To Make America Great Again?

Mr. West once again found himself in the cross hairs of web users. This time the collective internet clowned a newly blonde-haired Ye for holding a photo-op with President-Elect Donald Trump. The rapper who once said “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” proudly stood beside the man who was sued for discriminating against African-American tenants, wanted to execute the innocent Central Park Five, argued to reinstate the unconstitutional police practice Stop-And-Frisk, and promoted the false “birther” conspiracy theory in order to delegitimize the first black president Barack Obama

EDITORIAL: Please, No More Kanye in LA

I miss the old Kanye.
Image result for i miss the old kanye gif

This week Kanye West was shown visiting President-elect Donald Trump at his offices in New York City. The meeting is just the latest in a bizarre turn of events filled with attention-seeking behavior in which the rap star has found himself at the center of over the last few years. While publicity has never been something he’s shied away from and in fact often clamoured for, his antics this year have become divisive and contradictory.

For me –  a twenty-something year old – it’s both sobering and sad to watch the downward spiral that has been Kanye West’s career. Once a man of the people, it’s as though he’s become distorted with reality and the people that made him. From telling millions of people on T.V. that George Bush didn’t care about black people after Hurricane Katrina to now taking photogs with a President-elect whose political campaign spewed racist ideals and practices. It’s simple, he’s no longer the person we championed for so many years.

The things that made him so great and praiseworthy have turned out to be his greatest failures. Visionary streams of consciousness at shows, once noted for inspiring the hearts of the everyday dreamer have turned into mini Trump support rallies and rants. Further, they’ve also turned into public barrages towards his greatest inspirations, JAY Z, Beyonce, Q-Tip over things that should be kept behind closed doors. At that same show where he dissed such luminaries, he ended the show early and walked off stage a mere 30 minutes in. After cancelling the rest of his shows, he hid behind a press release that stated the cancellations were due to high exhaustion and a rehab hospitalization…… only to be at Trump’s offices a few weeks later.

When it all falls down.

Since the meeting, many of his own GOOD Music comrades have expressed their issues with West’s behavior. When asked his thoughts, singer John Legend responded I think Kanye was a publicity stunt. I’m pretty disappointed with Kanye that he says he would have voted for Trump.” In addition, just last week, J. Cole called out Ye during his 4 Your Eyez Only documentary on a song called “False Prophets”, in which he raps,

“The women, the dickriders, you know, the yes men
Nobody with the balls to say somethin’ to contest him
So he grows out of control
Into the person that he truly was all along, it’s startin’ to show”

Cole raps for the many who feel as though they simply can’t rock with Ye anymore. Cole speaks for the older generation that believe West has become too Hollywood and no longer the guy from the Chi that they fell in love with in ‘04. His fans today are millennials submerged in the age of social media and reselling culture, a machine Ye thrives and fuels. This is where his actions become dangerous.

No one man should have all that power.

The same day the battle in Aleppo, Syria was reportedly over, leaving thousands of civilians killed by police force, the headline instead is Ye’s meeting with Trump. For the kids that wait hours in line for his sneakers, spend an inordinate amount of money on concert tickets and merch, what does this really say? Ye has a reach in which these same kids blindly will follow his lead without realizing they’re just pawns in his plan. After his meeting, Ye tweeted:

I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues. These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago.

If Ye really cared about multicultural issues, then why would he charge $300 for sneakers? If Ye really cared about violence in Chicago, these same high priced shoes wouldn’t cause someone to lose their life. When was the last time Ye visited a school in Chicago and or helped support an education program? It’s questions like these that tell me Kanye isn’t interested in change but rather his own self obsession. Kanye is so consumed with personal and external affirmation that he’ll go to any lengths to accomplish this, proving the contradiction in his actions.

Perhaps that need for acceptance has ties to the absence of his mother, Donda West, who passed away in 2007. When the rant in Sacramento happened, many looked to his mother’s death anniversary as an excuse for his behavior. Since her death, he’s often blamed himself for what happened, stating in a 2015 interview, “If I had never moved to L.A. she’d be alive,” What would Donda, who protested in the 60’s and fought for desegregation, say about his “meeting” with Trump? Even further, Ye, whose been notorious for his fights with paparazzi, married a media and reality TV star Kim Kardashian. Since their union, it’s as though their fight for celebrity have reached new levels.

What will West apologists say now?

Floyd Mayweather Offers To Slap Colin McGregor

(AllHipHop Opinion) Floyd Mayweather Jr. has ignited another news fire storm that he may want to fight the UFC’s Colin McGregor. The boxer went on a rant through a social media video post.

“I ain’t never taking no L. I’m f****** McGregor up, too. That punk-ass McGregor. I’ma slap McGregor. I’ma slap the s*** out of McGregor when I see him,” Floyd said.

McGregor has been calling out the retired boxing champion for quite some time, saying “F**k Floyd” on camera.

Slapping McGregor may not be the right way to go. A straight right seems more appropriate off you want to punish somebody that fights for a living.

Who do you have beating who in this battle of boxing and MMA? Floyd or McGregor?

Snoop Dogg and Common To Appear In Simpsons Hip-Hop Special

(AllHipHop News) Snoop Dogg and Common are lending their voices to an upcoming hour-long hip hop special of The Simpsons.

The long-running Springfield-based cartoon is to pay homage to classic tale “The Great Gatsby” adding its own urban twist.

The two stars, as well as Wu-Tang Clan rapper RZA, will voice themselves. There are other big names set to get involved too, including Empire actress Taraji P. Henson and Keegan-Michael Key.

The episode will be titled “The Great Phatsby” and focuses on the character Mr. Burns (voiced by Harry Shearer) and his friendship with a music mogul called Jay G, clearly inspired by “99 Problems” hitmaker Jay Z.

After Jay G sends the town’s millionaire into bankruptcy and takes over the power plant, it’s up to the businessman and his employee Homer Simpson (voiced by Dan Castellaneta) to plot revenge.

“We wanted the Mt. Rushmore of rap, and we got it,” the program’s producer Dan Greaney, who also penned the episode, told Entertainment Weekly. “They represent different moods and different aspects of the history of hip hop.”

Taraji voices a character called Praline and Keegan-Michael’s alter ego is Jazzy James, who both help come up with a plan of vengeance. It’s not yet known who voices Jay G.

The special show will also see Taraji reunite with Empire’s music producer Jim Beanz, who has come up with original material for the episode.

Snoop has previously appeared in hit TV series “Empire.”

Jim Jones Goes Off On Mona Scott-Young!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Well in case you were wondering, Jim Jones is STILL not here for Mona Scott-Young.

Back in May, Jim called Mona Scott-Young an evil b-tch. With this said, we never really expected them to make up as he has previously stated that he doesn’t make up with people he’s made enemies out of.

Mona Scott-Young recently stopped by The Wendy Williams Show to chat about her career accomplishments and her transition from the music industry into reality television. Wendy asked Mona how the Love & Hip Hop franchise began and Mona touched briefly on Jim Jones originally having a show, and how Yandy Smith brought Jones to Mona as a client.

For Jones to be so p#####, Mona really didn’t say anything negative.

“Jim… they had done this deal with VH1 for him and his crew. Jim didn’t want to be doing reality. It was a show about the producers chasing him. I think at the time he was going through a rough patch; one of his boys had been killed. He just was not in TV mode at that point,” said Mona.

Mona said the deals were eventually over and he didn’t want to continue, so Jim took his talents to WE TV.

Although Mona didn’t say anything too offensive, that didn’t stop Jones from hopping on Instagram calling Mona everything but a child of God. Jones even suggested that he could have his mother Momma Jones fight her.

“Sombody tell this fat mss piggy d*ke p*ssy eatin h### having baby father keep my name out her p*ssy eating mouth @monascottyoung for I make my momma slap u wit a box of twinkies or I beat her at home husband punk hoe *ss up lol and Tht would b for free I take that law suit on Th [sic] gin [sic] like a champ play wit me ps u should b Thankin my [sic] I saved ur life other thn Tht u was doin bad And lookin bad ol cigerette mouth wouldnd f*ck u wit Th neighbors d*ck hope u got some brothers or nephews Tht love u so I have a reason to scrape 1 of them nighas up now back to th script on way to Th gym and we goin live.” posted Jim.

That sure escalated quickly! How may of you tune in to Love & Hip Hop? Is it your guilty pleasure?

RZA Approves Of Kanye West’s Meeting With Donald Trump

(AllHipHop News) Wu-Tang Clan frontman RZA is among the growing number of artists who are coming out in support of Kanye West’s recent visit to see Donald Trump.

While artists like YG, Nipsey Hussle, and even Kanye’s good friend John Legend have condemned the meeting, artists like Common, A$AP Ferg, and now RZA have are vocalizing their support for Kanye’s move.

“I haven’t spoken to him in a long time, so I don’t know where his head is at,” RZA told TMZ.com about Kanye West. “Trump is the President, and we’re going to have to talk with him, deal with him, build with him, make sure that some of the things he’s dealing with has an effect on our community. If Kanye went in to speak for our community, bong-bong.”

Even though RZA was one of the many rappers who came out in support of Hillary Clinton during the presidential election, he also said he would be open to working with Trump, so his casual reaction is not an entire surprise.

During an interview at Hollywood’s Egyptian Theater during a live scoring the Shaw Brother’s “The 36th Chamber of Shaolin Music,” RZA talked about his view on Donald Trump.

“Wu-Tang is for the children. If Mr. Trump speaks something for the children, I’m going to say, ‘Hey – he finally said something I agree with If he says something wrong, I’m going to say I disagree with it, and the same thing for Mrs. Clinton.”

Chance The Rapper Urges Fans To #StayWokeandFight In Response To Donald Trump’s Election

(AllHipHop News) Chance the Rapper is heading to Howard University in 2017, during an event hosted by the Youth & College Division of the NAACP.

Chance will speak to a gathering of youth activists next month, where the parties will discuss how to plan and respond to new civil rights violations which are expected under Donald Trump’s new administration.

The leaders of the Youth & College Division will partner with Justice League New York and the Empowerment Movement to launch a new initiative is called #StayWokeandFight.

Organizers say it will involve protests and other activism to call for criminal justice reform, and education investment.

The three organizations worked together to register thousands of new young voters during the 2016 election and they have a goal of ushering in a new era of activism, in response to the election of Donald Trump.

Since Trump’s election, New York City alone has seen a 110% spike in hate crimes, while states like Michigan and Texas have also seen huge outbreaks of religious and race-based violence.

“We are faced with a moral and ethical crisis during this critical time in our nation’s history after the election of Donald J. Trump,” said Stephen Green, Director of the NAACP Youth & College Division. “This moment calls for young leaders to gather together and develop a strategy to protect the human and civil rights of all Americans through nonviolent resistance.”

On January 20th, the organizers will host the “People’s Inaugural Ball,” which will be followed by the “People’s Inauguration” rally at Howard on January 21st at 9 a.m.

Method Man Writes “Ghost Rider” Christmas Comic For Marvel

(AllHipHop News) Wu-Tang Clan rapper Method Man has written a special Christmas edition of Marvel’s “Ghost Rider” comic book.

The comic, released yesterday (December 16), has illustrations by co-writer Anthony Piper and will feature Roberto ‘Robbie’ Reyes, the latest iteration of the “Ghost Rider” character, a demonic being capable of firing hellfire from his body.

Method Man has a connection to “Ghost Rider,” as he has used the alter ego Johnny Blaze, the same name as a previous version of the comic’s fiery hero.

A synopsis on the Marvel Comics website reads, “Robbie Reyes’ little brother Gabe is getting teased in school for having too much Christmas spirit! The kids of East L.A. (Los Angeles) are less than excited about Santa Claus’ impending visit, making them the perfect victims for the evil KRAMPUS!”

Bosses at Marvel also announced on Wednesday three special edition covers for some of their most popular comic books based on album covers by Hip-Hop stars Kanye West, Jay Z and Vic Mensa.

The cover of “Mighty Captain Marvel” has been re-imagined in the style of Kanye’s The Life of Pablo, while the “Elektra” comic has received a makeover in the style of Jay’s 2007 record American Gangster.

Vic’s 2016 album There’s Alot Going On forms the basis for a new cover of the “Bullseye” comic.
