Meek Mill’s Lawyers Fight Ruling As Judge Blast’s Rapper Over His Son

(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill’s lawyers were in court yesterday (December 4th), fighting for their client’s freedom once again.

Lawyers for the Philly rap artist filed an appeal, after the previous ruling on Friday, which effectively keeps Meek locked up for 2 to 4 years.

Judge Genece Brinkley announced her ruling on Friday (December 2nd), claiming failed drug tests, fights and listing false addresses were enough to violate Meek and send him back to prison.

Additionally, Jude Brinkley ruled that Meek was a danger to society due to his reckless behavior.

“From his original arrest, conviction, and sentence on drug and gun charges in 2009 to his August 2017 arrest for endangering the citizens of New York City, defendant has demonstrated that he continues to pose a great risk to the safety of others in Philadelphia and throughout the country,” Judge Brinkley wrote in a ruling that was released to the public yesterday (December 4).

“Defendant claims to be involved in his son’s life; however, significantly, his son does not reside in Philadelphia County,” the judge continued in her response.

“One look at any travel schedule previously submitted to the court would belie that claim as defendant was often not even in the Philadelphia area because this court allowed defendant to travel outside Philadelphia while on probation,” Judge Brinkley wrote. “Likewise, defendant’s ties to his mother, who resides in New Jersey, are questionable for the same reason.”

The rap star’s lawyers have contested Judge Brinkley’s ruling, in a new appeal to Pennsylvania’s Superior Court.

Meek’s lawyers remain adamant that Judge Brinkley is treating him unfairly, for her own personal gain.

“We are very disappointed with Judge Brinkley’s decision to deny Mr. Williams bail, which continues her long pattern of unfair treatment of him,” Meek’s lawyer Joe Tacopina told Philly.com . “As stated on multiple occasions, he has never missed a previous court date in this case and poses absolutely no threat to the community, which makes him an ideal candidate for bail – a conclusion [prosecutors] did not oppose.”

Stormzy Is Bankrolling His Mom’s Jet-Setting Lifestyle

(AllHipHop News) British rapper Stormzy is using the profits from sales of his U.K. number one album Gang Signs & Prayer to fly his mom around the world.

The grime superstar, real name Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo, Jr., won three MOBO Awards at a ceremony in Leeds, England on Wednesday, but his mother Abigail wasn’t there to see her son triumph.

Speaking to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper, Stormzy revealed the reason she was elsewhere – as he’s been using the money he’s earning from his music to pay for her to travel the world.

“She’s in Ghana man, just living off my album,” he explained. “My mom is jet-setting around the world right now – she loves it, she deserves it.”

Stormzy is close to Abigail, who was born in Ghana and raised him as a single mother in south London.

She has appeared in his music videos and attended a talk he gave to students at England’s prestigious Oxford University last year.

Gang Signs & Prayer won the best album prize at the MOBOs, an honor Stormzy was delighted with.

“Best Album…that’s the one I’m proud of the most because I put my life into my album,” he said.

The 24-year-old rapper also won the won best male, and best grime act at the MOBOs held to celebrate achievements in black and urban music.

Cam’ron Blames Social Media For Split With Juju

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Cam’ron has blamed the popularity of social media app Instagram for contributing to the breakdown of his romance with his girlfriend of 10 years.

The “Hey Ma” hitmaker hit headlines last month after his longtime love, Juliet Casteneda, also known as Juju, appeared to publicly dump Cam’ron online.

Juju, who features on U.S. reality show “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” went public with their romantic troubles by calling out the hip-hop star’s alleged mistress, a make-up artist called Roxxi Braxton, in the comments section of one of her Instagram photo posts, in which she accused the woman of trying to steal her man.

She subsequently confirmed she had called it quits with Cam’ron as she replied to a fan’s message of sympathy, in which they applauded her courage for walking away from the relationship.

“definitely not easy,” Juju wrote. “But God Prayer fixes everything… even broken hearts.”

Now Cam’ron has spoken out about the breakup, claiming they actually separated earlier this year.

“It was kind of mutual,” Cam’ron explained during an interview on New York radio show The Breakfast Club. “For me, it just wasn’t fun anymore.”

Citing social media for bringing out Juju’s jealous streak, he explained, “When Instagram came out, it was fun in the beginning and then it became serious. (Juju would say), ‘Why you following her?’. Or, ‘You like that person picture’ or ‘People are saying this.’ And I’m like, ‘Yo, you gotta be my best friend because that’s what I’m in it (this relationship) for…’ It just stopped being fun and I think she felt that way too.”

The hip-hop star, who claims he is just good friends with Roxxi, also made it clear he had no hard feelings towards his ex, insisting she has plenty of great qualities her next boyfriend will benefit from.

“She’s loyal, she’s smart, she’s funny, she’s charismatic,” he said.

Cardi B Previews New Single “Cartier Cardi” For Fans In The U.K.

(AllHipHop News) Cardi B gave her U.K. fans a sneak preview of the follow-up to her hit song “Bodak Yellow” at a show in Manchester, England over the weekend.

The rapper teased her new song “Cartier Cardi” during a performance at the city’s Victoria Warehouse, where she took to the stage alongside Tinie Tempah, and Panda hitmaker Desiigner.

According to website Capital XTRA, the Billboard chart-topping rapper teased the follow-up single to her hit song, a solo effort with no feature artists, to the audience before performing it for the first time at the Disturbing Manchester event.

During an interview with Capital XTRA DJ Manny Norte last week, Cardi revealed the name of the new song and its December 15th release date, and joked about her forthcoming output: “Maybe I’ll drop two.”

The track will feature on the Bronx rapper’s upcoming debut studio album, which is set for release next year.

But it appears Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, is making slow progress, despite the runaway success of her hit song.

The 25-year-old hinted at the intense pressure she is feeling as she prepares to drop her new music.

“Some people love me and a lot don’t,” she sighed. “So it’s like.. it’s got to be good. I have deadline and it will be coming out in January,” she confirmed, before she added, “I have three good songs right now.”

In the meantime, the Christian Louboutin-loving rapper has been testing the waters by teasing fans with several snippets of unreleased songs.

Guess Which Rapper Was Supposed To Be On Ashanti’s “Foolish” ?!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Don’t you just love backstories?! Ashanti has been doing her press runs to promote her single “Say Less” that features Ty Dolla $ign.

During her interview with The Breakfast Club, Ashanti revealed that her hit single “Foolish” was actually supposed to feature Jay-Z!

“Jay was supposed to be on “Foolish” it’s crazy. Yeah. This is what happened. Obviously I wrote the verses. Irv made the call to Jay like “Yo I need you to come get on this record.” So he played it for Jay. Jay loved the record. He was on the way to the studio. Then Irv said, “Nah we gon’ do something different because that’s the typical R&B move. You gonna carry the whole record on your own. ….He forced me to go in and write the bridge…… He called Jay and said Nah. Never mind,” said Ashanti.

Mannn could you imagine if Jay was actually on “Foolish”. I think if Jay was featured the song would’ve still been just as hot; the structure and the sound of the song would’ve changed obviously.

I wonder why they didn’t have Hov do the remix.

Do you think Ashanti and Irv Gotti should’ve actually had Jay-Z on “Foolish”?

Well, fortunately, Ashanti didn’t take an “L” with Irv cancelling the Hov feature, as it’s one of her biggest songs to date.

T-Pain Can’t Release Any Of His New Music For 6 Months

(AllHipHop Rumors) T-Pain has a ton of new projects coming out but he’s currently facing a bit of roadblocks from his former label, RCA.

Apparently RCA has a contract with T-Pain that says upon approval and delivery of his last album, he’s not supposed to release music for 6 months.

T-Pain says he understands the business side of the contract, but he was hoping that they’d be more lenient considering the fact that the last few years of their relationship and contract hadn’t been the best.

T-Pain says that RCA has been troopers though, and they’ve actually been amazing lately. He says they’ve stated that they would actually allow him to release music way before six months.

As you know, T-Pain released his 5th studio album, ‘Oblivion’ on RCA last month, and he says that he has so many unreleased projects and tracks, that he can’t wait to release.

He said he was going to just go crazy with the releases and drop a good amount of music, but he definitely wants to honor his contract!

Well, it’s good to hear that there is more new T-Pain music on the way. I swear he still doesn’t get the credit he deserves. Carry on!

Hilarious! Fans Think Jim Jones’ Son Looks Like Cam’ron!

(AllHipHop Rumors) As if the brotherly beef between Jim Jones and Cam’ron wasn’t enough already, now fans believe that Jim Jones’ son is really Cam’ron’s child after Jones posted a photo on Instagram of him and his son.

I can’t lie, after scrolling down the timeline and seeing the photo, I thought it was Cam or a child of Cam’ron’s at first.

As you could imagine, fans on social media have been trolling Jim Jones underneath the post!

The vast majority of fans were clowning as they told Jim that he needed to get a paternity test because they believe that his baby mama and Cam did him dirty.

The comments are wild out of pocket underneath the post. LOL.

What are your thoughts? Do you think the child looks like Jim of Cam?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Lil Mama had to know that this was going to happen!

We all know that Lil Mama is one of the biggest Jay-Z fans in history but, she may want to skip out on talking anything Jay as we already can’t ever forget that embarrassing moment where she joined Jay-Z and Alicia Keys on stage at the 2009 VMAS.

“Empire State Of Mind” was clearly one of the biggest songs that year and Jay and Keys had worked so hard to perfect the performance, only for Lil Mama to have an error in judgment when she decided to crash the stage during their performance as well as pose with them at the end.

At the time, Lil Mama even tried to invite Beyonce up on the stage. She stated [back then] that she only wanted to celebrate the city in that moment. She also expressed that the bullying and ridicule from fans had her suicidal, and the incident itself made her lose a lot of work because people were afraid to work with her because they felt like if they did, it may make Jay-Z and Alicia Keys upset.

Years later the rapper-turned-actress has decided to address the situation on Instagram, [yesterday] on Hov’s birthday.

“IM STILL STANDING WIT YOU …HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOV🎉💕 #BROOKLYN,” tweeted Lil Mama.

After fans went in on the comments, Lil Mama took time out to clarify her post with another post that said,

“My Last Post was Intended to acknowledge growth. That night, two of my hometown Heros felt disrespected and in return I felt neglected. However time heals all and give us the gift of hindsight (20/20 vision) where we can see things clearer, learn and grow from them. Even having to overcome the scrutiny that came with my choices, I still find it in my heart to forgive and LOVE in Hopes That it is returned upon me. I recently watched Jay Z’s interview with The New York Times editor and chief and leaned so much about forgiveness and pushing culture forward. I am inspired by your honesty, vulnerability and maturity. I’m ready for dialogue. Love You Jay… Happy Birthday 💕❤️”

We know that Lil Mama is extremely talented, but unfortunately this incident will be tied to her for the rest of her career. I mean it’s plenty of celebs with incidents that they cannot shake.

Tyrese Blames “Psych Meds” For His Erratic Behavior On Social Media

(AllHipHop News) Over the last few months, Tyrese Gibson turned his personal Instagram page into a self-produced reality show. That time period included the Fast & Furious actor calling out Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, blasting his daughter’s mother Norma Gibson, falsely claiming to get $5 million from Jada Pinkett Smith, lying about his current wife being pregnant, and breaking down on social media.

Tyrese stopped by Ed Lover’s Boom Atlanta radio show to address those issues. According to the 38-year-old “Shame” singer, the antipsychotic medication Rexulti was to blame for some of his behavior online.

“When I announced that my wife was pregnant I was taking psych meds. The pysch meds I was on was because my team was like, ‘You’re so stressed, you seem so traumatized about everything that was going on [with your ex-wife], we need to get you something that could maybe stabilize you while you’re dealing with this sh-t,'” said Tyrese.

He later added, “When I discovered it was the Rexulti that was messing me up, I literally dumped everything in the toilet. Once I dumped it in the toilet, that’s when I cleaned everything up. Just like y’all at the crib, I’m now looking at all my posts on Instagram and Facebook… I’m looking at my posts like, ‘What the hell just happened?'”

Jay-Z & Beyonce Pose For Pictures Together In An Elevator

(AllHipHop News) Yesterday (December 4) was Jay-Z’s 48th birthday. The Hip Hop legend celebrated with his equally famous wife Beyonce at the Angelika Film Center & Cafe.

Surprisingly, the power couple stopped for paparazzi to pose for pictures in an elevator. The location had a sense of irony, considering the infamous 2014 elevator incident with Bey’s sister Solange.

Jay rapped about that violent moment following the Met Gala on his 4:44 album. On “Kill Jay-Z,” he says, “You egged Solange on. Knowing all along, all you had to say you was wrong.”
