Kodak Black Settles Lawsuit Against His First Record Label

(AllHipHop News) Kodak Black was involved in a legal battle with the first record label he signed to at 16.

After suing Dollaz N Dealz Entertainment for breach of contract in December, the “Tunnel Vision” rapper settled the lawsuit out of court, according to Bossip.

Kodak accused the company of not properly handling his finances and not having the required Florida state talent agency license.

The suit also noted that Dollaz N Dealz head AC Julien’s incarceration has prevented the CEO from conducting management and recording services for his artist.

Kodak is currently behind bars as well.

The South Florida native was sent back to jail in February for allegedly violating his probation.

At the moment, he is still under contract with Atlantic Records.

It is not clear if Kodak is still officially associated with Dollaz N Dealz Entertainment.

#AHHPowerfulWomen: Universal Hip-Hop Museum’s Renee Foster Reminds Us To Win Each and Every Day

#AHHPowefulWomen (AllHipHop Features) Renee Foster is a nimble results-driven public relations and marketing professional with more than 10 years of experience in performing arts, entertainment and currently new media. Experienced in developing comprehensive communication strategies and event solutions that advance goals and improves efficiencies is her forte. A creative communicator well versed in consumer behaviors, trend spotting, and cultural marketing, with specific attention to tone, messaging and outcomes is her strength. She is a former lifestyle magazine writer/editor, and is adept in event planning as well as content creation. As an influencer, it is her passion to shape conversations, amplify the positive impact of technology on a changing multicultural landscape that have an impact on communities and culture. Her mission statement is: “Winning hearts and minds, one at a time.” As the current Chair of Fundraising and Development for the Universal Hip Hop Museum, Ms. Renee Foster truly has a passion and values the culture that is Hip-Hop. With the opening of the Universal Hip Hop Museum around the corner, it was great to catch a moment or her time to connect about her work and her motivations to continue to embrace her power.

AllHipHop: Explain what your job entails:

Renee Foster: I’m responsible for capital campaigns that raise funds for the creation of the future Universal Hip Hop Museum in addition to developing strategic alliances with the arts/entertainment, business, and academic communities.

AllHipHop: What’s the most enjoyable part of the job and your duties:

Renee Foster: What I enjoy most is celebrating the legacy and impact of Hip Hop culture with others that feel as passionately about it as I do. It’s even better when that passion is coupled with financial support for our mission to create the next great museum in NYC.

AllHipHop: What is the hardest part:

Renee Foster: The hardest part is bringing about a consensus when there are lots of opinions. It requires the ability to listen carefully, a willingness to address all concerns and to diplomatically forge agreements that satisfy a mutually agreed upon goal.

AllHipHop: Can you describe a moment of adversity personal and in your career?

Renee Foster: There were times early in my career when I was insecure and my confidence in my abilities wasn’t what it should have been. I realize now, that this is a fact of maturity or a lack thereof. There are decisions I made then, that I would not make now. And I’d be a bit less cautious and a lot braver. It takes a lot of personal growth to self-assess and to acknowledge these facts.

AllHipHop: What keeps you from giving up?

Renee Foster: I’m too intellectually curious to not engage in the world around me. The reality that Hip Hop has become the predominant youth culture worldwide and the fact that we are 3-4 generations deep into it and still growing. It excites me.

AllHipHop: Who inspired you to become a leader or boss?

Renee Foster: I’ve had the opportunity to observe a lot of women lead as bosses. Some have mentored me and I’ve had the honor of working with some of them. Their successes have inspired me to take on new challenges and always set new goals for myself professionally.

AllHipHop: How do you balance work and personal life?

Renee Foster: I make it a point to give myself some quiet time. I’m never too busy that I can’t check in with family. And I prepare and share Sunday dinner with friends & neighbors potluck style on a fairly regular basis. These simple things give me balance and keep me connected to people that I care about and that love me.

AllHipHop: What do you like to do for fun?

Renee Foster: Traveling is my jam! I love exploring new cities, new cultures & cuisines. I also love to escape to the movies preferably alone, whenever I can. It’s usually an independent, foreign or art house film. And I want to be anywhere where skilled musicians are playing live music!

AllHipHop: Please provide what it means to you to be a powerful and influential woman in the urban music and hip-hop industry.

Renee Foster: To me, it means that I get to be the “keeper of the flame.” All too often women’s contributions to arts and entertainment are ignored, erased or invalidated. Our efforts behind the scenes have built careers that have made millions for others. By continuing to do the work that I love, there’s a young woman or girl somewhere that will be inspired by the example I’ve set.

AllHipHop: Final Thoughts or words of advice?

Renee Foster: Surround yourself with people you respect and admire. Don’t allow yourself to become jaded or cynical, it will drain all the joy out of living. Above all else, be grateful that you have yet another chance to win each and every day.

Drake Postpones Amsterdam Concert For Third Time After Crowds Entered The Venue (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Drake was forced to cancel his show at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome on Monday.

According to reports, the OVO Sound leader had to postpone that concert due to illness.

The announcement was not made until after fans had already entered the venue.

“I’m really sorry to tell you that tonight’s show cannot take place. Drake got sick. His doctor told him not to perform. Tickets will stay valid for the show on Wednesday as he wishes to bring his fans the best show in the world,” a representative from Mojo Concerts told the audience.

Previously, Drake rescheduled the Amsterdam dates on his “Boy Meets World Tour” from January 20 and 21 to January 26 and 27.

He then pushed the shows to March 27 and 28.

“Production setbacks” was the presented cause of the 1/26 and 1/27 delays.

The “Free Smoke” rapper is expected to add March 29 as a make-up date for the missed performance yesterday.

Fetty Wap’s Crew Reportedly Fired First Shots During Chain-Snatching Incident

(AllHipHop News) It appears Fetty Wap’s entourage is responsible for the shootout that took place on Sunday following the New Jersy rapper’s chain being snatched.

That’s according to TMZ, the website reports:

Eyewitnesses at the scene tell us a member of Fetty’s crew fired first at Raheem Thomas’ crew in retaliation Sunday morning … and then that same person allegedly accidentally shot himself in the thigh.

We’re told the shooting started after Fuzz and his Muscle Team boys followed Fetty and co. into a Paterson, NJ deli, where things got violent fast. Sources say Fuzz pistol whipped someone in Fetty’s camp, and then he and his guys proceeded to jump/rob Fetty and his crew on the spot.

Apparently, shots were then exchanged between the two camps.

Two people connected to Fuzz were hit, and the original shooter from Fetty’s crew reportedly shot himself in the thigh by accident.

Raheem “Fuzz” Thomas was arrested for gun possession and assault after posting a picture with Fetty Wap’s chain on Instagram.

Suge Knight Misses Court Date Due To Illness

(AllHipHop News)
Founder of Death Row Records, Suge Knight, missed a court hearing on Monday (March 27) due to an illness causing another delay in his pending murder trial.

Knight has been in jail for two years for the hit and run incident in which he allegedly stepped on the gas in his Ford F-150 Raptor truck, injuring Cle “Bone” Sloan and killing Terry Carter after a confrontation that happened earlier at the production office for the N.W.A biopic, “Straight Outta Compton.”

The former mogul was hospitalized for the blood clots on Friday (March 24).

Knight has plead not guilty and claims he was being ambushed where he felt in fear of his life, so he panicked and tried to get away as fast as he could, accidently killing Carter.

Carter’s daughter is frustrated because since Knight did not make this court date, she could not deliver the statement she was planning to read in open court.

She was going to address Judge Ronald Coen and demand that her family had a right to a speedy trial, after they have been waiting for two years.

Knight’s fiancé, Toi-Lin Kelly, claims that he has “life threatening blood clots” and the hospitals aren’t doing anything to help.

Wack 100 Claims Kendrick Lamar Told Him Who He Was Dissing On “The Heart Part 4”

(AllHipHop Rumors) Ever since Kendrick Lamar subliminally came for peoples heads on “The Heart Part 4”, folks have assumed that K. Dot was sending shots to both Drake and Big Sean.

I mean after all, Kendrick and Drake along with Big Sean have seemed to trade little subtle shots here and there.

The Game’s overly opinionated manager, Wack 100, claims that he personally spoke to Lamar about the surprise single.

Wack didn’t really spill the beans though. Most have expressed on social media that they hate Wack because they feel like he somehow got his 15 minutes, and now he won’t go away!

He’s the most gossiping “ganster” we’ve ever seen. Anyway Wack took to Instagram where he claimed to have intel on K. Dot’s latest controversial track.

“Just got off the line with @kendricklamar and Lil bro talking bout what n-ggas was talking bout and you know who he talking bout and we all waiting to hear what you gone be talking bout !!! #DidYouHearWTFKDotTalkinBout OH AND BY THE WAY APRIL 7TH WACKs B-DAY.. N-GGA GOT ME WORKING ON MY B-DAY… #West??”

Do you think Wack was really talking to Kendrick? Also Kendrick we are still disappointed that you didn’t call ninjas out by name! Carry on!

Dave East Puts His Baby Mama On Blast!

(AllHipHop Rumors) These rappers have to be very careful with who they decide to have children with!

It’s no secret that Dave East cannot stand the mother of his daughter, Kairi Chanel.

It was apparent that the two weren’t a match made in heaven when Dave announced almost soon after his daughter was born that he was on the market.

I mean dizamnnnn the baby’s soft spot wasn’t barely gone and the man was ready to mix and mingle. LOL.

Anyway, rarely do things get fixed or resolved on social media, so it got pretty ugly for both Dave and his baby mama on Instagram.

The baby’s mother Milagrito “Millie” Colin left an angry comment about her not being able to see her child under a post of East and their daughter. It didn’t take long for East to clap back either.

East claims that Millie hasn’t taken care of their daughter in two years, and that she even called the police on him claiming that he was a gang member on drugs.

Luckily the police left East alone once they realized that the child definitely lived with him. They also asked Millie to leave the premises.

Millie took to social media to ironically express how she felt that it was a shame that their business was all over social media when that’s where she put it first. She also stated that it was a shame that that was the only way she could get a response from East.

Millie claims that before Dave became a famous rapper, he was broke and she was taking care of all of the bills. She says he acts like they were never together when he knows that they were, and that they lived together.

Dave claims that Millie hasn’t taken care of their daughter since the day she was born, and claims that she’s an unsuitable parent. He actually says that he took care of her because she was the one with no income. Lawd, I hope they can work this out for the sake of the child!

T..I. Goes In On Doe B’s Manager!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Y’all better put some respeck on T.I.’s name.

Last night, the late rapper Doe B’s manager, DJ Frank White, set the internet ablaze when he accused T.I. of still making money off of the fallen rapper.

Frank White posted and deleted a few posts, as well as changed some captions, but the screen shots and word had already spread around. You know it wasn’t long before both T.I. and his son Domani took to Instagram to clap back!

T.I. clapped back at Frank saying that he’d never have a want, need, or desire to even profit off of Doe’ B’s music. A photo that Tip posted showed that 50 % of the profits went to Doe ‘s estate.

“Anyone wondering where my Lil bro @cbmdoeb money goes…. 1.To his Estate 50% 2.Frank White @djfwhite 25% 3. Loyalty Promotions (Franks Mgnt partners)25% …. @djfwhite why u taking Lil bro bread & actin like it’s us? Remember champ… Grand Hustle/Hustle Gang ain’t never gotta steal rob or cheat ANY ARTIST… because if it all goes bad,on our worst day…. WE GOT a TI!!!!! #BigOleFacts #MissMeWitDaFuqShit,” posted T.I.

White then reposted a photo of Tip speaking at Doe B’s funeral, but this time he captioned it saying that he would provide proof that T.I. was in fact profiting off of Doe B!

“Yall relax… let me get the paperwork together to show you.. you know he trying to cover it up. I got em. Please be patient. Love you Doe… the people who has all the details i have already text. I would rather not name them amd get them involved.. however if they dont send methe breakdowns. You all will learn a lot #onGod,” said Frank.

T.I.’s son Domani even hopped on Instagram live to clown Frank White, who used to be his manager as well before he fired him. Domani says he’s just doing all of this because he’s mad that he fired him.

Frank may want to simmer down. T.I. doesn’t seem like one of the folks that you want to play with.

Meanwhile T.I.’ s name has been buzzing for a different reason also as his rumored side chick, Instagram model Bernice Burgos has finally responded to his wife Tiny’s claims that she is a pass around b-tch.

Bernice claims that she’s never been a pass around b-tch and that T.I. and Tiny’s marriage has been broken. She seemed to confirm that she’s smashing Tip as she said that people move on and start spending time with other people almost to hint that she was spending time with T.I.

Issa mess!

R&Beef! It’s Trey Songz Vs. Everybody!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Trey Songz told y’all that he didn’t give a f-ck about nothing literally on his recent Breakfast Club interview.

Although Trey Songz says he doesn’t want to fight, as he just wants to get money, he’s certainly been involved in some controversy lately.

Trigga said he has those hands, but fighting at 32 doesn’t prove anything. Trey has been really blunt in his feelings lately.

Trey Songz says Nicki Minaj came at him wrong, but he still loves her. Trey also says that Nicki didn’t have sh-t before their collaboration “Bottoms Up”. During the same Breakfast Club interview, Trey said while he isn’t into fighting at this stage in his life, August Alsina was talking reckless in the past, but he wasn’t really trying to fight him then, and he seemed to hint at the fact that August Alsina didn’t want those kind of problems.

August Alsina didn’t take too well to the comments as he jumped on Instagram claiming that he’d offered the fade to Trey a time or two.

“When n-ggas mention yo name in a interview talking bout catching fades but you already offered several fades years ago and will STILL gladly beat his goofy ass & then be cool later ?? @treysongz @breakfastclubam #NeverTalkingCrazyAlwaysTalkingTRUTH
Stretch before you reach next time nigxa! And don’t mention my name. (Back to the Real World, where real problems exist.) ✌?️,” posted August.

Remember BET seemingly made them make up a few years back by having them all take the stage to perform the remix to August’s “I Luv This” remix at one of the BET Awards.

As if that wasn’t enough drama for Trey. A video of him popping off at some fans in a club has surfaced as well. Trey told the fans,

“Y’all can move, Y’all can move. I’m with every inch of the sh-t n-gga. You talking from over there n-gga come on.”

Listen strange things start to happen when Trey grows his hair out. I ain’t stopped laughing since Trey destroyed that stage in Detroit. Is it time to drug test Tremaine? LOL.

#AHHPowerfulWomen: StubHub’s Head of Business Operations Bari Williams Shares Her Key to Maintaining Family Life as an Executive

#AHHPowefulWomen

(AllHipHop Features) Bari A. Williams is Head of Business Operations Management, North America at StubHub as of January 2017. In this role, she is responsible for business planning and operations, including cross-functional work with Product, Marketing, Strategy, Partnerships, Customer Service, Trust and Safety to manage and oversee technical metrics, product innovation, key strategic partnerships and drive P&L results across the company.

Prior to StubHub, Ms. Williams was Lead Counsel for the Global Infrastructure, Development, and Operations (“Inbound”) Commercial Legal team at Facebook. In this role, she drafted and negotiated contracts supporting Facebook’s internet.org connectivity efforts, building aircrafts, satellites, and lasers, along with purchasing and procurement to keep the company running – from software and hardware for the development of new products for users, including marketing messenger bots for Tommy Hilfiger during Fashion Week, to deals for supplies and equipment needed to take care of Facebook employees worldwide. Additionally, she also successfully took on the passion project of developing strategy and implementing the launch Facebook’s Supplier Diversity Program, announced at White House Demo Day in 2015, and officially launched at NMSDC in October 2016. She also served on Facebook’s Black Employee Resource Group leadership team, which recently had its successful inaugural “Black Leadership Day” event.

Prior to joining Facebook, Ms. Williams was an attorney at CSAA Insurance Exchange, formerly known as AAA Insurance, where her work focused on commercial contracts, primarily in the IT space, and privacy.

Ms. Williams has been a featured speaker on panels at festivals and events, and has been featured on TheRoot.com, and in Black Enterprise and Essence magazines. She is a 2015 recipient of the National Bar Association’s “40 Under 40” award, recognizing young attorneys excelling in achievement, innovation, vision, leadership and legal community involvement in their careers, as well as their “Excellence in Legal Innovation” award, and a 2015 recipient of the Digital Diversity Network’s “Top 40 Under 40: Tech Diversity” award.

Ms. Williams shares with AllHipHop some great methods to mainting the madness of not only being a female executive but balancing that with being a wife and mother. Take a look.

AllHipHop: Please, explain what your job entails:

Bari Williams: I’m responsible for business planning and operations, including cross-functional work with Product, Marketing, Strategy, Partnerships, Customer Service, Trust and Safety to manage and oversee technical metrics, product innovation, key strategic partnerships and drive P&L (profits and loss) results across the company.

AllHipHop: What’s the most enjoyable part of the job and your duties:

Bari Williams: Figuring out ways to solve problems. It’s fun to analyze something and see how it works, and then determine how and why it could be better, and then putting the pieces together to actually make it better. I love driving toward efficiency.

AllHipHop: What is the hardest part:  Bari Williams: Figuring out ways to solve problems. It’s a blessing and a curse. It can be frustrating when you know how to solve a problem, and you don’t have the necessary resources to fix it.

AllHipHop: Can you describe a moment of adversity personally and in your career?

Bari Williams: I’m a creature of routine and comfort, and I’m very Type A. I’ve been called a control freak. So, it’s hard for me to leave a situation in which I’ve become comfortable, know how to easily navigate the terrain, am great at the work, and good will has already been acquired in the company. But I know that growth is in the space outside of your comfort zone, and that’s always the hardest step for me to take… to leave the familiar to tackle the unknown.

AllHipHop: What keeps you from giving up?

Bari Williams: I remind myself that my dad’s parents were sharecroppers with elementary school educations. They didn’t move their family from Mississippi to California and grind it out to get some of their kids to college for me to get discouraged and give up, even when I’m not getting what I deserve. Just work harder to prove I’m worth what I’m asking for.

AllHipHop: Who inspired you to become a leader or boss?

Bari Williams: My mother. She’s always been the boss of our home and was such an exceptional teacher that people still stop me on the street and ask about her. To see that kind of impact you can have on someone’s life resonated with me. I knew I didn’t want to be a teacher, at least not in that way, but I wanted to have that kind of impact and legacy.

AllHipHop: How do you balance work and personal life?

Bari Williams: Three things: (1) I wake up early in the morning, to allow time to do something I want to do undisturbed. I’m the only early riser in my house, so it’s the only time no one is looking for me; (2) I organize my life on a shared calendar with my husband, and it includes our kid’s activities, and; (3) I have insomnia, which is good and bad. I try to use it for good.

AllHipHop: What do you like to do for fun?

Bari Williams: Four things: (1) I clear my DVR; (2) read; (3) watch or attend sporting events and concerts, and; (4) sleep. Yes, sleep can be fun when you’re an insomniac.

AllHipHop: Please provide what it means to you to be a powerful and influential woman in the urban music and hip-hop industry.

Bari Williams: It’s providing good experiences for the customers, fans, and our partners/artists, and providing more opportunity for those that look like me in the tech and entertainment space.

AllHipHop: Final Thoughts or words of advice?

Bari Williams: To get something you’ve never had, you’ll have to do something you’ve never done.

EDI of The Outlawz Talks Wack 100, Joey BadAss and Funk Flex

(AllHipHop Rumors) E.D.I. of The Outlawz has a podcast. I had no idea. But, this is the thing. Wack 100 has remained very viable by talking about Tupac. “If you want attention, this is what you do,” E.D.I. said. And then he went in on it. So this is straight from the mouth of one of the dudes that was crew with ‘Pac.

“In the sprite of evolution I try to spend my time on positivity,” E.D.I. says. He is very mature. “Certain s### you gotta speak on.” He proceeds to talk about Joey BadAss, Wack 100, and Funk Flex. I am not even going to condense what they said because it is actually a great conversation. E.D.I. is smart!

So, yes, there is no rumor here. Just something to talk about.

And to that:

Rapper Nicki Minaj Plans To Cut Westminster Bridge Scenes From “No Frauds” Video

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Nicki Minaj is taking steps to guarantee she does not offend her worldwide fan base, with her upcoming video “No Frauds.”

Nicki was over in London shooting scenes for the video on Westminster Bridge, just a day before a terror attack rocked the country.

Last Wednesday (March 22), an ISIS-inspired militant name Khalid Masood plowed his car through a crowd on Westminster Bridge, killing three people.

Masood then got out of his car and fatally stabbed a police officer, before being shot and killed himself.

Nicki had previously shot a variety of sexually suggestive scenes on the bridge, which could offend victims, their families and people around the world.

The rapper immediately reacted to the attacks and sent her condolences to victims.

According to reports, Nicki is planning to cut her scenes on the Westminster Bridge, while the other shots around the city will remain.
