Instagram Users Troll Drake With “IV” Comments After Kendrick Lamar Drops “The Heart Part 4”

(AllHipHop News) Many rap fans have spent the last few years debating whether Drake or Kendrick Lamar is the best rapper of this generation.

The conversation has ignited again since Drake released his More Life playlist and Kendrick returned last night with the new record “The Heart Part 4.”

Some listeners even think the TDE emcee was subliminally dissing his “Poetic Justice” collaborator on the track.

Fans have speculated about the two rap superstars sending subtle shots at each other in their music for some time.

After the arrival of K-Dot’s latest song, Instagram users flooded Drake’s IG page with “IV” comments.

The Roman numeral was presented as an Instagram post on Kendrick’s page this week.

Trey Songz Talks Nearly Signing Drake, Issues With Nicki Minaj & Recording With Meek Mill (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Trey Songz returned to The Breakfast Club this week, and the R&B performer discussed his connections to three of the most talked about artists in Hip Hop.

Over eight years ago, Songz joined forces with a then lesser known rapper named Drake for records like “Replacement Girl,” “Successful” and “I Invented Sex.”

The Virginia-raised vocalist spoke about how he nearly signed Drake before the Toronto native went over to Young Money/Cash Money.

“Drake wouldn’t be Drake if we made that decision. Drake wanted to sign to me at a time I wasn’t even ‘Trey Songz’ yet,” explained Songz. “At that time, I felt like me and my label weren’t even in a good place whereas though they fully believed in my potential. I took Drake to many executives and a lot of people said no.”

The “Animal” singer admitted he and Drake had “personal issues” which played a part in the two performers not making more music together.

They have since reunited in London over the last month for Drake’s tour stop in the city.

Trey was also asked about his dust-up with Nicki Minaj over allegations presented in Remy Ma’s “ShETHER” that the “Bottoms Up” collaborators slept together at one point.

“Nicki said she gave me six plaques. But let’s keep it real, Nicki ain’t have sh-t before ‘Bottoms Up,'” stated Songz.

He added, “I love you, Nicki. I love you. You came at me wrong. You disrespected me, but I love you.”

The radio show conversation also included Trey talking about Minaj’s ex-boyfriend Meek Mill.

Some fans were wondering if a recent Instagram picture featuring Trey and Meek in a recording studio was meant to be a subliminal diss directed at Nicki.

“Nobody ever uses me as a pawn, first of all,” Songz declared.

The Tremaine album creator continued, “I was appalled that people would think I would get together with Meek and do some kind of diss record against Nicki Minaj. I’m not even thinking about that.”

While a Minaj response track is not happening, Songz did reveal he and Meek have recorded at least five records together.

“I don’t think it was a good idea to take a picture and post it… But whatever, you wanna take a picture and post it” said Trey. “I think the caliber of intelligence that people have is lowered by the need and the want for drama. I think people look past logic and reasoning to see, ‘Oh, there’s bullsh-t.’ We were just in the studio.”

Is Kendrick Lamar Set To Drop His Fourth Album This April?

(AllHipHop News) The last two days have included Kendrick Lamar giving hints that appear to be about his next studio album.

At first, the Compton spitter posted a message on Instagram that just featured “IV.”

Then, Lamar dropped the new record “The Heart Part 4” where the Grammy-winning emcee mentions a date for his peers to prepare for.

“Y’all got ’till April the 7th to get y’all sh-it together,” rapped K-Dot.

It has been two years since Lamar released his last LP To Pimp a Butterfly.

He also dropped the untitled unmastered EP in 2016.

Kendrick Lamar Drops Aggressive New Song, Disses Trump

(AllHipHop News) Kendrick Lamar season is upon the Hip-Hop community.

In his latest song, “The Heart Part 4, Kendrick Lamar drops dense lyrics that challenges his peers, Donald Trump, social media norms and more. The Compton rapper, know to have favor with Barack Obama, did not mince words.

“Donald Trump is a chump, know how we feel, punk Tell ’em that God comin’
/And Russia need a replay button, y’all up to somethin’ /
Electoral votes look like memorial votes /
But America’s truth ain’t ignorin’ the votes”

The rest of the songs seems to openly challenge his peers without naming names.

My fans can’t wait for me to son ya punk ass and crush your whole lil sh#t/
I’ll Big Pun ya punk a$$, you a scared little b#tch/
Tiptoein’ around my name, ni##a ya lame/

Jay Z and Eminem get mention and others are unnamed in the new song.

Give it a few listens and help determine who K-Dot is talking about.

Rapper Fredo Santana Rushed To Hospital

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Fredo Santana was rushed to the hospital after suffering from a seizure yesterday.

The rapper posted an image on Instagram saying, “When u working hard no sleep u get sleep deprived an have a light seizure ?.”

While the Chicago rapper claims hard work and sleepless nights, fans of the rapper immediately countered with allegations that he ingests too much lean caused him to be admitted to the hospital.

One person posted, “It’s cause of the lean d###### , take a lesson from lil Wayne , sipping lean lowers your seizure threshold.”

Santana has not commented further at the time of this writing.

His alleged love of lean is well documented in his music and social media.

Terrence Howard Dumps Religion In Search of Inner Peace

(AllHipHop News) Actor Terrence Howard has finally found peace in his home life after letting go of the “crippling” emotional baggage from his tough childhood.

The “Empire” star was left mentally scarred as a child after witnessing his father Tyrone kill a man in a mall stabbing in front of their families.

He was imprisoned for 11 months, and while his mother Anita subsequently filed for divorce, Tyrone maintained a strong presence in his kids’ lives, and Terrence claims he was subjected to daily beatings from his dad until he was 14.

Young Terrence was also bullied in the streets, and his rough upbringing led to him becoming physically violent as an adult, lashing out at his first wife Lori McCommas, the mother of his three eldest children.

His ex-wife Michelle Ghent also accused the actor of threatening to kill her during a 2013 vacation, but he denied the allegations, claiming self-defense.

Terrence went on to marry Mira Pak in October, 2013 and he insists finding love with the former model and restaurateur has helped him to move past his troubled history.

“Two weeks after meeting Mira, I gathered up things associated with my past and found a nice hill and buried them all there,” he tells People.com.

“Mira settled me,” he continued. “Our marriage is effortless. Relationships are hard work, but we really don’t fight.”

The couple shares sons Qirin, 22 months, and Hero, seven months, and Terrence, a former Muslim who no longer follows any religion, admits he owes part of their peaceful home life to learning to use the calming affects of nature to rid him of any stress.

“I’ll just watch a tree’s limbs sway back and forth or take my shoes off and put my hands on a tree,” he explained of how he now manages his stress. “It makes me feel part of the whole.

“I’ve made terrible mistakes throughout my life,” the 48-year-old continues. “I was dragging baggage with me that was crippling me mentally and physically. But I finally feel I can put that to rest. I can breathe again.

“I still have growing to do,” Terrence adds. “I just hope the mistakes I make now are smarter mistakes.”

The star’s romance with Mira hasn’t been a completely smooth ride though – they secretly divorced in July, 2015, just two months after baby Qirin was born, only to reconcile weeks later.

They managed to keep the split quiet until the actor’s marital status was brought up in the summer of 2015 as part of his court battle with Ghent over their pricey divorce settlement.

Wack 100 Says Tupac Was A Rapist

(AllHipHop Rumors) What is Wack 100’s beef with Tupac?!

The man is one opinionated “gangsta”. It’s like every other day he’s on Instagram commenting on Tupac and trying to discredit him in one way or another.

Wack 100 came under fire because of him saying that Tupac wasn’t a real gangster. He truly upset people when he said that Pac wasn’t a true foot soldier, and every time a gun was involved, Pac was on the wrong side of the gun.

Wack tried to clear up his words by assuring Tupac fans that he is actually a true Tupac fan, he just feels that he wasn’t a gangsta. He referred to Pac as true revolutionary kind of guy and that’s about it.

“Yo listen, everybody upset because I said Tupac wasn’t a gangsta. Let me repeat myself. I’m a Tupac fan; I bought all of his music. Know half of his music bar-for-bar. Tupac won’t no gangsta. He had gangstas around him. Pac was a revolutionary type guy. On some real sh-t I don’t know why yall mad talking bout I’m disrespecting him. It is what it is……He wasn’t a gangsta. He didn’t shoot two police. He shot at two white people who he later learned were off-duty police………I stand by what I say. He wasn’t a gangsta; he was a revolutionary. Piru,” said Wack.

Now a comment left by Wack has surfaced where he refers to Tupac as a rapist. Many had a problem with it because Pac was never convicted of rape. Pac was acquitted on a few counts of sodomy/attempted sodomy. A fan referred to Pac as God, and Wack responded saying,

“@Chantaha_k Pac is God!! Yell you need help. God is a thug, rapist, raps of killing kids?? Wow you gotta be 23 years old,” said Wack 100.

What are your thoughts? Is Wack just trolling or what?

Actress Natalie Portman Latest To Defend Snoop and Diss Donald Trump

(AllHipHop News) Actress Natalie Portman has dissed President Trump over his Twitter war with Snoop Dogg.

While chatting with Marlow Stern of The Daily Beast, Natalie found it surreal that the POTUS would find time out of his busy schedule to condemn a gangster rapper for a provocative video.

Snoop’s video for “Lavender” has been condemned by a variety of pundits and politicians, for its portrayal of Snoop shooting a fake, clown version of Donald Trump, in the head.

Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz denounced the video, while President Trump himself also weighed in with a Tweet, criticizing the video, while claiming Snoop’s career was “failing.”

“It’s certainly not what we want, and what our President should be focused on,” Natalie Portman said.

President Trump’s tweet against Snoop Dogg is considered ridiculous, since he has yet to denounce a number of hate crimes and anti-semitic threats taking place across the U.S., including a high-profile incident where an Indian immigrant in Kansas was shot to death after being told, “Get out of my country.”

Natalie Portman, a Jew, feels that the Trump Administration should be more focused on condemning the heinous acts instead of tweeting against Snoop Dogg.

“All of the examples of hate crimes and hatred, whether it’s against the Indian-Americans who were killed in the Midwest, or against Jews, or against all the different minority groups where it’s been happening, it’s really outrageous and the government certainly needs to step up against it and make their voice clear on the unacceptable nature of these attacks and threats,” Natalie Portman told The Daily Beast.

Artists like Ice-T, Treach, T.I., Common and even Bow Wow have rushed to defend Snoop, although Bow Wow’s threats to pimp out First Lady Melania Trump, did not go over well either.

Is This What Sick Mofos Are Using Facebook Live For?!

(AllHipHop Rumors) We already live in a sick world, and unfortunately social media gives these sick people a platform.

What in the entire f–k is going on in Chicago?! From a high count of daily murders and violence to live-streamed gang rape man.

A 15-year-old had been reported missing and was essentially found in the worst way.

According to ABC7, Chicago police located the 15-year old and discovered that the teen had been sexually assaulted, and the assault had been live streamed on Facebook Live.

What’s even crazier is that none of the people who watched the live stream called 911!!! Facebook removed the video after they were made aware of the horrific video by the police.

The teen was reunited with her mother, and the police have had a chance to speak to her parents as well as a few leads.

“She was heinously raped, beaten and abused and assaulted on tape – on FB live. So whatever picture people want to paint of her – she was a chronic runaway or whatever – nobody deserves that. No human being deserves for that to happen to them,” said one of the victim’s relatives.

It has been said that about 4-5 people participated in the gang rape.

The teen was headed to the store on Sunday before she went missing. A police spokesperson has revealed that detectives are making good progress as far as identifying those involved in the assault, however no formal arrests or identifications have been made.

It’s crazy that people are normalizing this. While other platforms have live streaming features, it seems like Facebook Live has the most horrific occurrences such as suicides, murders, rapes etc.

I can’t understand how one individual could think it is okay to rape another person, let alone several. The individuals obviously have no moral compass, so they obviously saw nothing wrong with putting it on social media also. SMH!!!

Yung Joc Says He’s Not With the Gay Sh-t!

(AllHipHop Rumors) As you know people do not play about their sexuality and any false accusations about it.

Exes, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s own Yung Joc and Karlie Redd recently got into it on social media when Joc suggested that Karlie missed him putting it down, and Karlie says she used to play with his ass. Oh my! That escalated quickly!

“Let me tell you one thing Karlie. I play a little bit. But, I don’t play no games on no gay sh-t and all of that sucker sh-t. On my kids you ain’t never put your fingers in my a-s b-tch. Now put that on your daughter. Put it on your daughter life, put it on on your mama life. That what I thought. Can’t. B-tch don’t even play with me like that. I ain’t on no sucker sh-t no kinda way. I never said nothing about a n-gga d-ck. I said needle. If that’s where your mind wanted to go so what it’s all in fun and laughs. Don’t come at me with no hoe sh-t. Take it for what it is. What it is. It’s entertainment,” said Yung Joc.

What’s funny is that when a woman is mad at her ex she seems to tell the world that she used to play with their a###### either to embarrass them by revealing their sexual life, or to suggest that their ex was gay. See: Amber Rose vs. Kanye West and Vivica Fox vs. 50 Cent.

It’s funny that the women do this because clearly if they really were f######## a#######, they were down for the count when the sexcapades were going down, so what does that say about them.

Anyway clearly Mona Scott-Young has been with the sh-ts this season and we can’t tell a storyline from real life drama these days. Karlie Redd and her ex Joc have been going at it since they broke up, and Karlie is now “dating” Black Ink’s Ceasar. When Joc commented under a post about the new couple, Karlie clapped back claim that she’d played with his a######, and telling him to worry about his lakefront….. and well Joc is big mad!

For those reality TV watchers, have y’all peeped the scammer and sister wife situation going on on this season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta? Issa mess! Carry on.

AHH Stray News: Rock Band Insults Kanye, Solange, Gucci and Zaytoven Perform, Drake’s Epic Tattoo

Heavy metal stars Cradle of Filth have hurled an insult at Kanye West after appearing to disapprove of his decision to wear one of their promotional T-shirts. The “Stronger” rapper was photographed out in Los Angeles last week showing his support for the British band with his choice of clothing, but the rockers have since made it known they are not fans of Kanye, after taking to Facebook to share a pointed comment about his outfit. Alongside a photo of Kanye wearing the T-shirt, they wrote, “Kanye West. Cradle Of Filth fan. Fortunately not a collaborator.” The outspoken hip-hop star has yet to respond to the remark.

R&B star Solange Knowles is set to take over New York’s Guggenheim Museum for a unique performance as part of the 2017 Red Bull Music Academy Festival. Beyonce’s sister will stage a special show drawing on the themes on her critically-acclaimed album A Seat at the Table, which will be examined “through movement, installation work, and experimentation through re-constructing musical arrangements”, according to a press release. The performance, titled An “Ode To,” will take place in the museum’s Rotunda space on May 18. Other highlights of the Red Bull Music Academy Festival, which runs from April 29 until May 21, include a stripped down show by rapper Gucci Mane and producer Zaytoven, who will perform on a grand piano, and a Prince tribute by house star Moodymann.

Rapper Drake has cemented his love for soul star Sade by having her portrait tattooed onto his body. The “Hotline Bling” hitmaker surprised fans on Monday (March 17) by sharing a photo of himself hanging out with the reclusive British singer backstage at his final London tour stop. In the image, he stood between his mother Sandi and Sade, and captioned it, “Two very important ladies in my life.” Now it appears Drake has taken his admiration for Sade to another level by getting her image inked onto the side of his rib cage. European tattoo artist Niki Norberg shared a photo of the new artwork on Instagram on Wednesday (March 22), with the portrait featuring a well-known picture of the “Smooth Operator” vocalist wearing a head wrap and large hoop earrings. Drake also seems to have landed a handwritten note from the 58-year-old as the handwritten words, “with love Sade x”, are also inked beneath her likeness.

#AHHPowerfulWomen: Sonya Magett, From Brooklyn To Bigger Things

(AllHipHop Features) As a fashion editor and celebrity stylist, Sonya Magett has worked with Beyonce, Gabrielle Union, Idris Elba, Mary J. Blige, Fantasia, Lil’ Kim, LL Cool J and many more. As digital content editor, Sonya has provided daily fashion, entertainment and lifestyle content online for Huffington Post Blackvoices, Tyra Banks’ Tyra.com, Russell Simmons’ Globalgrind, Viacom’s BET.com. Additionally, she has been featured and quoted in The New York Times, Marie Claire, ABC, Fox 5 news, BET, NY1 News and more. As a public speaker she has sat on many panels around the country including Columbia University, New York University, Pratt Institute, City College and more. After a run in fashion and entertainment media, Magett is now running a burgeoning nonprofit. Welcome to her next act.

AllHipHop: How did you survive being so deep in the game? From Hip-hop fashion to tech?

Sonya Magett: Being a futurist yet always humble. It is important for relationships. And quietly being a creative nerd that is extremely open-minded to embracing and adapting to change. I’m confident about storytelling on any platform because of my keen instincts and ability to spot what’s next culturally and with business trends. Sensing and demonstrating what will be hot before it becomes mainstream on everyone’s radar makes you valuable. Essentially what I’ve have always been doing consistently is storytelling but on different platforms-  from print, to video, film, photography, a book and now technology. Honestly, I never thought about writing or journalism. I was blessed to have amazing editors, mentors and creative friends who said I was a storyteller who thought and approached shoots like a writer. The editors pushed me to write first the credits, titles, the heds, deks and eventually celebrity and fashion interviews and features. I learned from the copy editors and their AP Style guides. So the career progression as a storyteller went from fashion styling to journalism to now technology.

AllHipHop: Talk about what you are doing these days? What do your duties entail?

Sonya Magett: I am a social scientist, I bridge the worlds of content and commerce through technology. As a content creator and social media manager for a company owned by Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, my day-to-day includes daily meetings to learn the business’ needs for monthly goals, publishing the company’s brand blog articles daily, creating and posting social media content; campaign ideation and creation with a Marketing team. Deep dive into analytics because that is where the “story” is to learn the best digital strategies. Since I joined the company several months ago, I’ve launched a new YouTube channel, a podcast and currently working hard on the creation of several other types of digital assets to leverage for top-of-the-funnel marketing (brand awareness). I am also working on the re-branding of one of Sean “P.Diddy” Combs’ brands. Talk about full circle after having worked with him when I first styled Notorious B.I.G. eons ago.

AllHipHop: Tell us about your non-profit.

Sonya Magett: Code & Content Academy is a tech education nonprofit organization I co-founded with my partner Myorr Janha. We provide introductory computer science programming to groups that are underrepresented in tech, especially girls and minorities. The goal is to inspire youth to consider pursuing higher education in computer programming or digital content to increase diversity in tech, which is a major talent pipeline problem. We tell the kids that even if they are not interested in a career in tech, being technically proficient is essential no matter your career path. Whether it’s for branding, or for an entry-level career skill set in your industry of choice. It’s just necessary. We emphasize that they are not just learning to code but coding to learn. Less than 10% of U.S. schools offer computer science nationally, 1 in 4 schools surveyed by Google offer tech and in New York where there are over 30,000 computing jobs but only 4,000 college kids got degrees in computer science. Less than 2,000 high school kids took a computer science exam and less than 200 are black! Preparing them for a future with Artificial Intelligence including machine learning; many products already does not require programming. Even with bit coin and other forms of digital currency because paper money will be extinct. Self-service checkouts in stores, train stations, airports and more is a huge indicator that service jobs are slowly eliminating. It has proven to help break the poverty cycle for those who comes from a disadvantaged background. This also helps combat the systemic school-to-prison pipeline. Trust me, our program and others like it are sorely needed. Overall, we aim to help erase tech education debt in under served communities.

AllHipHop: What difficulties have you encountered as a female in the Hip-hop game? Is it different than this present day?

Sonya Magett: I would say the biggest difficulty was getting the fashion companies to take not just me but hip-hop culture seriously. I aggressively pursued the brands that kids were wearing on the street because I thought our readers should see the brands they love on people that looked just like them in print. Often times the fashion companies had no idea how popular they were on a street level. The clothing companies saw how real it was when we would list the brands’ phone numbers in the magazines and our readers would call. That’s how the magazine started getting fashion advertising.

In hip-hop it was challenging dealing with celebrities — they always try to take advantage of their fame on every level. I don’t deal with them nearly as much now but in the last few year it was challenging trying to raise capital to start my own company. The stats for Black women founders to get venture capital in the last 2-3 years is still less than 1%. I have been taken more a bit seriously now that I work in the tech space because I can prove that my digital strategies yields results and leads to conversion. My says to clients, “ooh she has a brain”.

AllHipHop: What advice do you have to offer people that want to be where you are or aspire to make it in the business?

Sonya Magett: Stay humble! It is all about relationships and word-of-mouth whether you are starting your own company or looking for a job. And it is imperative that you can communicate effectively that you are not only on the pulse of what’s hot but that you are a big picture thinker who can deliver results that meets a company’s bottom line, no matter how large or small a business is. It is all about data, so always be prepared to prove there is opportunity for whatever it is you are trying to do, for yourself or a company. Even if it is innovative and has never been done before, PROVE it. Very few people take risks in investing in you if you cant prove WHY they should.

AllHipHop: Final words?

Sonya Magett: Be patient, your time will come. Hustle beats talent when talent don’t hustle is real. If you are not driven, you do not put in the work then do not be surprised when it happens for others. You can’t cheat the grind.

Nia Long Denies She’s Beefing With Taraji P. Henson On “Empire” Set

(AllHipHop News) Nia Long’s representative is dismissing reports suggesting the actress has been feuding with Taraji P. Henson on the set of Empire.

The “Boyz n the Hood” star booked a recurring guest role on the hit show’s third season, in which she plays a rival to Henson’s character Cookie Lyon.

According to reports, the actresses did not get along and would not speak to each other while they were working.

Henson was reportedly upset with Long’s behavior on set and the way she treated crew members in the hair and makeup department, who reportedly filed an official complaint against Nia.

However, Long’s representative insists there were no issues on set.

“We stand by our comments… that Nia has always, and continues to be, a consummate professional on set,” the representative told TMZ.com. “In respect to her working relationships with the cast, she came onto this project, in the first place, because of her long-standing friendship and professional relationship with Terrence Howard.”

“We are not aware of any complaint, suit or case against her from anyone involved in the show, and we find the timing of all of these stories to be very suspicious, given that the series (recently returned to the air),” the rep added.

Keyshia Cole Reportedly Joining ‘Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’ Cast With Estranged Husband B#### Gibson

(AllHipHop News) Over a year ago, reports began circulating that Daniel “B####” Gibson was close to joining the cast of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.

The former NBA player’s estranged wife Keyshia Cole has now confirmed she will be starring on the next season of the VH1 reality show, and Cole is reportedly going to be appearing with Gibson.

After telling The Breakfast Club last month that she was not interested in being part of the Mona Scott-Young led franchise because she “wouldn’t want to be in all the crazy stuff,” Cole has had a change of heart.

“Contractually got what we wanted to move and I want to touch bases with the essence of my fans again. Wanted to do something different,” wrote the R&B singer on Twitter.

According to Keyshia, she will begin filming for LHHH next week and her episodes will start airing in June.

As of press time, there is no confirmation Gibson is officially connected to Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.

Cole and Gibson previously appeared on television together for the BET show Keyshia & Daniel: Family First which ran for one season in 2012.

What Is Kendrick Lamar Up To?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Surely, K-Dot is watching. He’s looking. He’s seeing the whole landscape of Hip-Hop right now. And he’s ready to pound the game out again. He recently said: “I think now, how wayward things have gone within the past few months, my focus is ultimately going back to my community and the other communities around the world where they’re doing the groundwork. To Pimp a Butterfly was addressing the problem. I’m in a space now where I’m not addressing the problem anymore.” I think what he just said was code for: “I am about to f#ck the game up, because these corny pop Negroes are out of control.” At least, that’s how I take it. Anyway, it would be a cryptic message for his 4th commercial release. I don’t know about you, but I am anxiously awaiting K-Dot’s return. We need more rappers with actual bars on the top tier. I keep seeing Kendrick at these big mainstream festivals, which is major money, but “we” ain’t readily there.

Redman Says Filming For ‘How High 2’ Could Begin In 2018 (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) It’s been 16 years since Redman and Method Man teamed up for the stoner film How High.

Some fans of the movie have been hoping a How High sequel would eventually hit theaters.

In a recent interview with The Source, Red spoke about the potential of another flick with Meth arriving in the near future.
