Meek Mill Ends House Arrest Sentence On Stage At Beyonce Show In Philly

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Meek Mill celebrated the end of his house arrest sentence by joining DJ Khaled and Rick Ross onstage in his native Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Sunday night (June 5)

The “Ima Boss” star, real name Robert Rihmeek Williams, was banned from working during his 90-day detention, which began in March of 2016, after he was found guilty of violating the terms of his probation in December, 2015.

Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend was only allowed to leave the house for community service and charity work.

He was due to be released on Wednesday (June 1), but a judge ordered him to serve eight more days because he failed to complete his community service hours with the correct charities, according to TMZ.com.

But on Sunday, it appeared Meek was a free man as he hit the stage at Beyonce’s concert in Philadelphia and performed “Ima Boss” and “All Eyes On You” with support act DJ Khaled and Rick Ross.

The 29-year-old was on probation relating to drug and gun charges from 2008.

He violated his probation terms by repeatedly changing his court-approved travel schedule without consulting officials.

He was given six more years on probation in addition to the house arrest sentence.

Did Drake Diss Joe Budden & Diddy On New Song?

Call me lazy, but I am not going to comb through that Drake song to listen to a Joe Budden diss. However, that seems to be exactly what Joey is saying on his Twitter.

Like some of the people I talked to…if there was a diss, I completely missed it. I am sure that Joe can hear it. Nevertheless, if Drake is sending out some subliminal messages, he will not soon engage in a war of words with Budden. It wouldn’t be the same as Meek.

On the Drake side, the song is dope.

Then, there is the Diddy diss…

Two More Victims Come Forward With Rape Allegations Against Ian Conner

(AllHipHop News) Ian Connor was known as one of the most prolific Hip-Hop stylists in 2015 and 2016, with an impressive resume that included working with big name rappers like A$AP Rocky and Kanye West.

The A$AP Mob affiliate had started building a reputation for himself, before he became even better known – for allegedly sexually assaulting women.

In April, two women spoke out about their encounters with Ian Connor and unfortunately, two more women have come forward to reveal that they were also attacked by the stylist, according to Daily Mail.

Taryn Williams, 23, told the publication that she was assaulted by Ian Connor in 2014 after being asked to visit him in California, while Jenni Stampley, 19, claimed to have been assaulted when she visited the stylist in Toronto in as recently as April.

Williams, hails from Los Angeles, told The Daily Mail that she visited Ian Conner at his Northridge, California apartment one evening. Things went awry after she decided to spend the night his residence.

Williams said she put on an over-sized jersey Conner encouraged her to wear, before he began touching her, which made her uncomfortable thanks to his aggressive behavior.

“He tried to put his face down near my v##### and I pushed him with my feet really hard and said, ‘Don’t, just stop it!’ It was at that point he grabbed my lower back and pulled me to him and he put his penis inside me,” Taryn Williams told The Daily Mail in a new interview.

“I pushed him out again and I said, ‘Please no, stop. This isn’t what I wanted and you said this isn’t what you wanted, why are you lying?’ I just kept saying that ‘Why did you lie to me?’ and he told me, ‘You’re being weird stop being weird,'” Williams claimed. “Then he just forced himself inside me and kept going. I kind of just was waiting until he was finished and I was crying and finally he was done and he fell asleep on the floor so I just made my way to the couch and tried to fall asleep.’”

To make matters worse, Ian Connor took to Twitter to deny the allegations. Not only did he Tweet that the allegations were “lies,” but the stylist also posted texts and videos of his conversation with his accusers.

Ian Connor has now been accused of rape by five women. One of his alleged victims was under the legal age of 16.

Both victims have started to pressure Kanye West to sever his ties with Ian Connor, who has worked closely with the producer/fashion maverick on his “Yeezy Season” fashion shows.

Kanye West Performance At Governor’s Ball Cancelled Due To Bad Weather

(AllHipHop News) There were a lot of people anticipating seeing Kanye West perform at this year’s Governor’s Ball.

Unfortunately, that won’t be the case today.

The festival’s administration recently announced that it will be canceling its third day due to severe weather and a high chance of lightning in the area.

The official statement is located here.

“Sunday, June 5th of Gov Ball 2016 has officially been cancelled, due to severe weather and a high likelihood of lightning in the area. The safety of fans, artists and crew always comes first.”

Those who purchased a Sunday ticket and/or transportation to the location will get a refund for the cancelled day.

The internet responded with disappointment of the cancellation in its normal fashion.

Missy Elliott Reveals She Has Lost Music From Prince

(AllHipHop News) In a recent interview with The Strombo Show, Missy took a long stroll down memory lane as she reminisced on everything from the success of her smash singles to her performance at the 2015 Super Bowl.

One particular segment of the show that stood out came when Missy spoke on the first time she met Pop icon Prince.

Missy recounted a story of a time she needed to reach out to Prince for permission to use a look-alike in her show. She ended up meeting the singer at a club in Los Angeles.

The initial meeting with Prince lead to a cozy relationship and the Purple one actually sent Missy some music in hopes of a collaboration, which she unfortunately lost.

“He had sent me some stuff, music of his and I moved and I could never find that music and yesterday I was sitting there saying, I have to go to my house, in my storage space and find this music,” Missy Elliot said during a sitdown on The Strombo Show.

Despite the mishap, Missy showered the deceased icon with praise, repeatedly referring to Prince as a genius, while placing emphasis on his impact on the music industry as a collective.

“When he entered the room, he was like a giant… I mean, I think everybody just pulled up and started looking to records and records and records and when you go, you always knew this was a genius, but when you really go and listen — you appreciate. And we really have to start appreciating these artists while they are still here and not just wait until these moments to recognize the genius and the greatness of what they’ve done for music.”

Prince’s death was due to an accidental overdose of powerful painkiller Fentanyl, according to the late music icon’s official autopsy report.

The report was released by officials at the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office hours after a law enforcement source told the Associated Press Prince died of an opioid overdose.

The official line suggests the music legend’s death was “accidental” and the Fentanyl in his system was “self-administered”.

Prince’s weight is listed at just 112 pounds in the report.

The toxicology results surrounding the singer’s death have not been released, and are not required to be under Minnesota law. As such, it is as yet unknown whether Fentanyl was the only drug in the singer’s system at the time of his death on April 21.

Producer Mike Will Made It Drops New Music With Rihanna

(AllHipHop News) Mike Will Made It has been making moves in 2016.

In addition to working with Beyonce, Kanye West and the entire G.O.O.D. Music family, Mike Will is back with another single.

The new song “Nothing is Promised” is the Atlanta producer’s new single with superstar singer Rihanna.

“Nothing is Promised” is the first song the two have released together since 2012’s strip club anthem “Throw It Up.”

Since Mike Will Made It is releasing new music, there’s a great chance fans will be gifted with his highly anticipated project Ransom 2.

According to Mike Will’s Twitter account, the compilation project was supposed to drop earlier this year.

Unfortunately, the producer was occupied with producing Beyonce’s single “Formation.”

Mike Will Made It also wanted to drop a song with Gucci Mane on “Ransom 2,” but he didn’t get permission from federal officials to work with the rapper while he was locked up.

But now that Gucci is free and Beyonce’s album Lemonade has been released, maybe Mike Will can finally focus on his own project.

Expect his bangers to rattle everyone’s cars once Ransom 2 drops later this year.

Nigerian Artist Runtown Recalls Clashing With His Label Over DJ Khaled & Nicki Minaj

(AllHipHop News) Nigerian recording artist Runtown (born Douglas Jack Agu) is in the middle of a legal fight with the Eric Many Entertainment label owned by wealthy businessman Okwudili “Dilly” Umenyiora.

Eric Many sued Runtown in Nigeria’s Federal High Court over allegations the Ghetto University album creator purposely collected money from shows without the label’s knowledge. The company also filed an injunction preventing the Afropop star from performing until the legal matters are settled.

Runtown then terminated his contract with Eric Many, claiming he did not receive royalty payments and other music related profits. The 26-year-old Enugu native even suggested he was being extorted. He also said at one point Dilly threatened his life by pulling a gun on him.

The Nigerian news platform Pulse spoke with Runtown. The interview included stories of how Eric Many Entertainment supposedly used possible collaborations with U.S. based entertainers DJ Khaled and Nicki Minaj as a way to maintain control over the singer.

On DJ Khaled:

I needed to do some collaborations, like the one I did with DJ Khaled. I was in the states and out of my money, I spent between $40,000 and $50,000, and that’s just the ones I can account for. I spent more than that on the collabo.

I was meant to do the video the next day in New York, I was waiting for Khaled. When they got to New York, I got a call from the label saying that I need to leave New York immediately. I couldn’t even understand what was wrong with what I did. I expected them to tell me, “Well done, I saw what you did with DJ Khaled.” It turned [into] a problem, and they said I need to fly to South Africa for a video shoot.

On Nicki Minaj:

When I was about to drop the video, he called me out of the [blue], that he was going to get Nicki Minaj on the album. I accepted, being that a Nicki Minaj will be good on the album. When we were in the US, he kept on calling and asking if we can get across to Minaj…

He kept on calling about the Nicki Minaj people that he is ready to play. Then he brought a contract extension for another two years stating that if he pays for the Nicki Minaj deal, then he will need a 2-year extension to recoup his investment. I wasn’t around then, so the management handed the contract to a guy we worked with, and dropped it there. Neither I nor my manager, Aneto-Okeke Bugwu, were around. He called me on the phone threatening me that if I don’t extend the contract, he will kill me, and bury my career, and that he isn’t going to release my album.

Runtown released Ghetto University in November 2015 via Eric Many Entertainment. The album featured DJ Khaled on the opening cut “Money Bag.”

Buzzing Nigerian musician Wizkid also appeared on two Ghetto University tracks. The single “Gallardo” with Davido won “Best Collaboration Of The Year” at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

Troy Ave’s Bodyguard Laid To Rest, NYPD Treating Victim’s Family Like “Criminals”

(AllHipHop News) Troy Ave’s close friend and associate Ronald “Banga” McPhatter was laid to rest yesterday (June 4).

Funeral services for McPhatter, 30, were held at Brown Memorial Baptist Church in Brooklyn.

Hundreds of friends, former classmates, teachers and rappers, gathered to pay their final respects to McPhatter.

Ronald McPhatter was shot and killed during a violent altercation at Irving Plaza in New York, on May 25.

McPhatter was one of four people who were shot after someone pulled a gun backstage and began firing during a fistfight.

So far, Troy Avenue, who was caught on camera blasting away with a 9mm, is the only suspect in the murder.

The rapper has denied shooting and killing McPhatter and so far, police have yet to charge anyone with McPhatter’s murder.

Authorities are investigating the possibility that more than one person used the same gun during the fight.

But police have also stated that it is possible Troy Ave may be charged with murder as well.

Meanwhile, McPhatter’s older brother Shanduke McPhatter, tore into the NYPD for their lack of outreach to the family in regards to updates about his sibling’s murder.

The elder McPhatter, who is a known anti-gang activist, echoed the accusations of other victims, who chided the NYPD for treating them like criminals and not victims.

“We have never been treated like the family of a victim,” Ronald’s older brother Shanduke McPhatter told ABC 7. “We are still being treated like criminals.

“We could just start with what happened,” Shanduke said. “So we can have our own view to discuss, so my family can see how my brother died.”

According to Robert Boyce, NYPD’s Chief of Detectives, police have almost confirmed that only one gun was used.

“We still believe there is one gun used during the entire operation that shot four people, killing one,” Chief Detective Robert Boyce added.

Troy Ave has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and is currently being held without bail.
