(AllHipHop News) Kanye West played the doting uncle on Sunday (May 29) after meeting his longtime friend John Legend’s new baby daughter.
The “All of Me” singer and his supermodel wife Chrissy Teigen welcomed their first child, daughter Luna Simone, in April, and six weeks later, the new parents introduced their little one to their close friends Kanye and wife Kim Kardashian during a brunch in Malibu, California.
Chrissy took to Snapchat to document the meeting, and in one video, the Stronger rapper is cradling little Luna in his arms with a smile on his face, as Kim stands next to him playing with the newborn’s tiny feet.
In another shot, Kim is holding Luna while puckering up for a kiss, and Chrissy added the caption, “Auntie!”
Kim and Kanye also brought along their two kids, daughter North, 2, and son Saint, who is four months older than little Luna, for the lunch date.
The two superstar couples are close friends, and Kim and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe even threw a baby shower for Chrissy at Kim and Kanye’s Bel-Air home on March 16.
Guests including actress Jenna Dewan Tatum, Kardashian family matriarch Kris Jenner and celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin posed for photos in a photo booth, played baby-themed games, and enjoyed a feast from McDonalds, with a spread that included breakfast muffins and hash browns, all washed down with glasses of rose wine.
The bash was actually Chrissy’s second baby shower – just weeks before her Los Angeles party, the “Lip Sync Battle” co-host was feted by friends in New York City, where the party was fit for a little princess.
All the guests at the New York City luncheon donned paper crowns, with the pregnant Chrissy wearing a bedazzled tiara with “Baby Mama” on the front, while John wore a corresponding one with “Baby Daddy” emblazoned on it.
(AllHipHop News) Back in 2004, rapper/singer Quan grabbed the attention of Hip Hop fans by appearing on Nas’ single “Just A Moment” off the Street’s Disciple album.
The Virginia wordsmith is now on the verge of re-entering the game with his own LP.
Before the studio album gets released, Donferquan warmed up his followers with the 11-track www.donferquan.com project. The collection features several high-profile guests as well as Quan’s version of Rico Richie’s breakout cut “Poppin.”
“I took Rico Richie’s ‘Poppin’ record and made it my own on my www.donferquan.com mixtape which has features from Pusha T, Ace Hood, and Rapper Pooh,” says Quan. “It’s just an appetizer to hold fans over for my Point Of No Return LP coming soon.”
The video for “Poppin Remix” has arrived as well. Chip Stackin’ of No Days Off directed Quan’s latest visuals set in Hampton, Virginia.
Be on the lookout for Donferquan’s Point Of No Return dropping via his Kingz Nation imprint.
The internet is known to spark wild rumors. Especially when it comes to joint albums. (Remember that Jay Z and Beyonce project that’s been talked about for years?)
Well, now there’s talk about Andre 3000 and Childish Gambino teaming up for something.
They are both from Atlanta, and C.G. has expressed how 3 Stacks influenced him. But this story seems to be far-fetched.
One, why would Andre do a project with Gambino and not another Outkast album with Big Boi? Two, Gambino was supposed to be working with Chance The Rapper on a collaborative mixtape.
We’ll have to wait and see if this really pans out. What do you think? Can you see a Childish Gambino/Andre 3000 joint project happening?
(AllHipHop News) Over the weekend, news emerged that gorilla, named Harambe, was gunned down after a child fell in his cage at the Cincinnati Zoo.
The child snuck in the cage’s barrier because he wanted to play in the moat located inside the artificial habitat, and was soon approached and lifted by the 400-pound primate, before zoo officials decided to shoot and kill the animal according reports.
Fortunately, the child was rushed to the hospital without any life threatening injuries. However, Harambe, an endangered gorilla, was confirmed dead.
Once news surfaced that Harambe died, many mourned the passing of the endangered gorilla on social media.
Some were even a bit verbal about the situation, including producer and one half of Chicago duo The Cool Kids, Chuck Inglish.
The rapper sounded off about the entire incident via Twitter, stating that the child shouldn’t have been in the cage the first place.
How the f### did u let your kid get in a Gorilla cage ?

The producer brushed the small rant with a bit of humor by commenting on the possible reaction of the animals after the shooting, following a retweet from Two 9 member, RetroJace, about the killing.
What if Cesar is like ahh nah… not my n#### Harambe.
It's on sight now !

(AllHipHop News) One of the victims of a deadly shooting at Irving Plaza in Manhattan still has valuable evidence regarding the crimes, but the cops can’t get to it.
Model Maggie Heckstall and three other people were injured after a fistfight involving rapper Troy Ave and others escalated into gun violence backstage during a concert headlined by T.I. last week.
On Wednesday (May 25), Ronald “Banga” McPhatter, 30, was struck in the stomach during a fight. He died at Beth Israel Hospital.
A 34-year-old man named Chris Vinson was shot in the abdomen and is expected to recover.
Troy Ave, born Roland Collins, was still undergoing surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center after accidently shooting himself in the leg.
The rapper was supposed to appear in court yesterday (May 29) for an arraignment on attempted murder charges, but the court date has been pushed back.
The fourth victim, model/dancer Maggie Heckstall, was hit in the knee and left with a shattered femur.
Heckstall can’t identify any of her assailants, but she was left with a bullet lodged inside of her leg that cannot be removed, because it’s too close to vital nerves.
In an interview with the New York Post, Maggie Heckstall said “ballistic hungry” police were harassing her for information and treating her like a criminal, and not a victim.
Detectives started interviewing Heckstall on the ambulance ride to Bellevue Hospital, where she is currently being treated.
“Anytime anyone would walk to my door, they had six officers out here, staring into my room,” Maggie Heckstall said. “I cooperated with the officers. I don’t know if they wanted me to tell them more, but I don’t know what happened. Shots went off. Lights went off. I just tried to get out the room.”
In addition to the Irving Plaza venue, Maggie Heckstall said she also plans on suing the NYPD for harassing her.
Earlier in the week, police said they were still awaiting the results of ballistic tests, but so far, all the evidence pointed to Troy Ave’s 9mm pistol.
NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said that the shells recovered at the scene had been tested and they were awaiting the results of more tests.
“I will say that shell casing you saw that was fired is in line with other shell casings recovered inside the VIP room,” Detective Boyce said.
Detective Boyce did leave open the possibility that another shooter was involved who may have fired a revolver during the melee, but offered no further details.
As for Troy Ave, he is due to make a rescheduled appearance in court later this week.
While the calendar turns from May to June, there are a few notable events that have happened in Hip-Hop history during these seven days.
From The Wu Tang Clan and Boogie Down Productions dropping dope second albums to the births of some of rap’s greatest artists, such as B-Real and Big L, this 168 hour time span, at one point or another, has certainly had a major impact on the culture that DJ Kool Herc created.
As the saying goes, “You don’t know where you’re going until you know where you’ve been.” Here is a look at notable events that took place in Hip-Hop culture this week each day from years past. Check it out!

Views has been able to dominate the Billboard 200 chart because of its record-breaking streaming totals. Drizzy added another 166.2 million streams which equaled 111,000 units.
However, the Pop star’s third album only totaled 175,000 equivalent album units, landing her at #2.
If I’m Honest by Blake Shelton sold more copies than Views as well (153,000), but again its sales plus streaming numbers (170,000 units) were not enough to knock off Drake.
With his fourth week at #1, Drake becomes the first male artist to lead the chart for at least 4 weeks since Michael Buble’s 5 week run in 2011 -2012 with Christmas.
Eminem was the last rap artist to racked up as many weeks at #1. The Detroit rhymer’s Recovery ruled for seven nonconsecutive weeks in 2010.
(AllHipHop News) Troy Ave’s injuries stemming from a high-profile shooting in New Yor City has caused a Saturday court date to be postponed.
The rapper was still in the hospital for a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said. The 33-year old was handcuffed to a hospital bed at NYU Langone Medical Center Saturday with a police on guard.
Roland Collins, Troy Ave’s real name, faces a bevy of charges including attempted murder for his role in a shooting at Irving Plaza last week, a concert date T.I. was headlining.
Troy Ave has an attempted murder charge, criminal possession and other charges realted to the shooting that left 33-year-old Ronald McPhatter dead. McPhatter was security for Ave.
The new court date for Troy Ave has not been disclosed at press time.
The game is rough out here and that doesn’t matter who you are down with. Even TDE can experience some issues. Top Dawg, the head of the crew, seems to think people are not supportive enough of Schoolboy Q. He had a single with Kanye West that seemed pretty cool to the young bucks. I thought it was just “OK,” but I clearly am not who it was for
Here it is:
Anyway, Schoolboy Q has finished his album and is waiting for his release date.
(AllHipHop News) Drake’s ambitious plan to tear down a bungalow in a ritzy area of Toronto and rebuild it with a massive mansion has been approved.
The rapper was linked to a corporation that recently purchased just over 2 acres of land in the Bridle Path neighborhood of Toronto for $6.7 million.
Drake reportedly bought the property through a numbered company with business associates, in an attempt to conceal his ownership.
But the plans have become public – literally – because the proposed mansion was being built too big.
A municipal panel was required to approve the new construction, which happened earlier this week, on May 26.
According to the Toronto Star, two residents in the neighborhood attended the meeting to voice their disapproval of the mansion’s construction.
But they changed their minds, after seeing the blueprints for a new, scaled down, two-story mansion with an attached garage with custom landscaping, to ensure everyone’s privacy.
Even though Drake adjusted the size, the mansion is still massive, at 21,000 square feet.
The house will be custom built with an NBA sized basketball court, a jersey museum that will feature other valuable artifacts, a hot tub on the roof and more.
Drake’s attempt to remain secretive by using Future The Prince as the President of the numbered company that bought the property have been completely thwarted.
Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna celebrated Memorial Day Weekend at Sky Beach at The Tropicana in Las Vegas. Blac Chyna posed for pictures, and she looked happy with her baby’s father, Rob Kardashian.
There’s a reason for the cheer, and it’s not just the baby. According to reports, photo agencies have lined up to shell out $1 million big ones to have the first rights to take pictures of the unborn child.

In his new action comedy film “Central Intelligence,” actor comedian Kevin Hart plays “Calvin,” a former enviable and “cool” popular high school kid who upon the eve of his high school reunion, has morphed into a not so enviable and not so cool adult accountant.
It is a complete reversal of Dwayne Johnson’s character Bob, a bullied and largely unnoticed high school geek who has changed himself into a lethal CIA agent via hard training and a fanatical exercise regimen.
Calvin believes that he could use a little more of Bob’s adult cool factor to spice up his life.
However, while “Central Intelligence” takes a hard-line against school bullying in a very funny but heartfelt way, Hart, as the father of two children himself, believes that sometimes the stance that parents and schools can take towards conflict can be a bit too astringent.
Sometimes it leads to over sanitizing situations to the harm of children, who will need to be able to deal with difficulty as adults.
“I believe in the whole anti bullying thing,” stated Hart. “As a kid, I think you need a little drama. I don’t like the people that try to make these kids’ lives perfect. You need to build character – and you know, within situations that make you uncomfortable come life lessons.”
To that end, in his usual hilariously raw but brutally honest way, Hart went on to reveal one particularly uncomfortable character building moment that he and his brother witnessed as a young boys via Hart’s irrepressible father.
“My dad says, ‘let me tell you something – you don’t let nobody push you around,’ and he got into it with this guy, and me and my brother, we were in the car,” remembered Hart.
“(My dad) said, ‘you handle yourself at all times. You be a man,’ and I remember my dad getting out of this car. This guy hit my dad with two of the hardest punches I’ve ever seen in my life. It was so fast. ‘Pap! Pap!’ And he said something like, ‘I didn’t want to do this in front of your kids.’
“And it was like me and my brother were just in the car. We were looking at him and my dad got in the car and closed the door and he started driving. It was just quiet, like, I guess he not going to say nothing about it. He’s just gonna let this go and just act like he won in a couple of days.
“So the lesson I learned there was duck, get out of the way if it’s coming,” Kevin Hart said. “But it was definitely a lesson that he tried to give that went backwards.”
So, case in point, some lessons don’t need much of a filter – even if they don’t turn out the way that the original teacher intended.
“Central Intelligence” starring Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson, Aaron Paul, Amy Ryan and Danielle Nicolet opens in theaters nationwide on June 17, 2016.
Game 7 should be just as competitive, since the Warriors managed to pull off an impressive comeback from being down 1–3 in the series.
But, no matter how hard Kevin Durant and his teammates on the Thunder play, they will not win, at least according to Bay Area rapper Lil B.
Lil B took to Twitter last night (May 28), after OKC’s loss, to remind Kevin Durant, who put up 29 points, that he was still under the BasedGod’s infamous curse.
“MAN ‘THE BASEDGOD’ IS A NOBEL ONE, AS HE SHOWS US WORLDWIDE THE POWER OF TRUTH “THE BASEDGODS CURSE,” Lil B Tweeted shortly after the Thunder’s loss to the Warriors.
Kevin Durant and Lil B’s issues go back to 2011, when the pair started beefing on Twitter. Kevin Durant questioned Lil B’s relevance in music and even called the rapper “wack.”
In response, Lil B said he put a curse on Kevin Durant and claimed the NBA
star would not win a championship, until the curse was lifted.
If OKC loses to Steph Curry and the Warriors, it will be one of the most
talked about comebacks in recent memory.
A win for the Warriors would also give KD some free time this summer, to make good on his challenge to play a game of one on one against Lil B, to settle their difference once and for all.

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West’s creative studio was robbed of tens-of-thousands of dollars of computers and other valuable equipment earlier this week.
The rapper/producer’s Calabasas office was burglarized after an unknown crook pried open a door over night, and stole laptop and desktop computers, worth around $20,000, according to TMZ.com.
Sources stated the Kanye West has already replaced the missing gear, and that no sensitive data will leak, thanks to security measures put in place for such an occurrence.
Kanye has experienced being robbed of valuable computers with sensitive data in the past.
Someone infamously swiped a laptop from Yeezy in Paris, in March of 2015.
Kanye famously accused a cousin of stealing the missing laptop on “No More Parties In L.A.” with Kendrick Lamar.
The rapper also vented about his cousin’s alleged theft on the song “Real Friends,” on which he claims to have paid $250,000 to get the stolen laptop back.
Police are investigating the robbery, which they believe was committed by somebody close to Kanye West.
(AllHipHop Features) Over the last four decades, countless rap stars have parlayed their musical success into multi-million dollar business careers. An eventual move into entrepreneurship opportunities has become a more important objective for some musicians than earning a platinum certification award.
Malcolm “Malcs” Manswell actually took an opposite course. The Columbia, Maryland native first made a name for himself as the founder of SneakHeat before gaining recognition as an up-and-coming emcee.
“It’s a very interesting route I’m taking because nobody really does that. I feel like sometimes you get boxed in as an artist to just do music,” Malcs tells AllHipHop.com. “But then you hear Drake signed a deal with Jordan Brand. Obviously, that’s corporate. Kanye signs a deal with Adidas. Obviously, that’s corporate.”
He continues, “They’re all doing businesses. I just feel like I did it the reverse way. I started a business and then introduced the music afterwards.”
Manswell launched SneakHeat at just 19 years old, and he managed to turn it into one of the most interactive sneaker communities on the web. The company dubbed itself as the premier buy/sell/exchange sneaker platform.
SneakHeat has over 158,000 combined followers on social media. The BasedGod Lil B, Hot Boys member Turk, and Hip Hop journalist Rob Markman are among the blue-checked tweeters that follow the SneakHeat account on Twitter.
SneakHeat was even listed on Complex’s “25 Must-Follow People for Sneaker Release Info” list. His gains within the sneakerhead digital space eventually led to Manswell earning a position as a contracted employee with Nike.
However, the former star Howard County high school soccer player always intended to pursue a path in the rap world. Manswell adopted a moniker given to him by a female friend as his stage name, and he began releasing songs online.
“Malcs is just a nickname that I kind of picked up in middle school, and it stuck with me. It’s not somebody else’s name,” explains Malcolm. “I feel like a lot of artists go with a name that’s not theirs. I wanted my name to connect back to me. Everything I talk about is pretty much what I really think. I wanted to stick with that idea.”
In 2014, Malcs dropped a body of work called The Project. Numerous production minds provided the wide-ranging soundscapes. The 15-track mixtape was served to listeners as a stew of different styles.
“Really Wanna Know” utilized elements of jazz instrumentation reminiscent of East Coast acts. “None Of My Business” was picked up straight from the traps of the South. “Interludin’” felt as if it landed from beyond the atmosphere.
It all fused together to present some of Malcs’ favorite influences shared from his perspective. The tracks were then layered with stories based on true events from his life that he has either experienced or seen firsthand.
“The Project was really an experiment, obviously with the title being The Project. That was the first project I ever put out,” states Malcs. “I dropped one song, ‘On The Map,’ to see if people were even listening, then that ended up being my number one song, so I was like, ‘Okay, we’ll just put together The Project.’”
Since The Project hit LiveMixtapes two years ago, Malcs has continued to post new songs to his SoundCloud account. He also uploaded videos to YouTube, including the visuals for “Shipping/Pull A Fast One.”
The respective names of the two records fit perfectly into the back story of how the clip was made. Malcs and director BrianFilm pulled a fast one by orchestrating a guerrilla shoot at a United States Postal Service location in Hollywood. The unapproved effort nearly landed the team behind bars.
“I almost got a federal charge for that. You’re not supposed to be back there, and you’re obviously not supposed to be filming back there. It was the only thing that made sense for the video. So I was like, ‘F-ck it. Let’s just hop this fence,’” recalls Malcs. “We went through it about three times. We got everything we needed, so by the time they told us to leave we were already done.”
Malcs is not finished sharing his diverse Hip Hop approach. Up next is The Rest Is History, a new collection hosted by Swishahouse Records co-founder and OVO Sound affiliate OG Ron C.
After the on-air radio personality discovered Malcs’ Slaps EP, the two later met in person after a showcase during the 2015 SXSW Festival. Ron C supported Malcs’ music on 93.7 The Beat, and the Chopstars front man ultimately signed on as an official sponsor of the rapper’s movement.
“He was showing mad love. He loved ‘All Day.’ He played it on the radio down in Houston,” says Malcs.
Ron C adds, “I loved working with Malcs, because his music to me has somewhat of a southern vibe to it.”
The Rest Is History could possibly get another large-scale endorsement from the house that Drake built. OVO Sound Radio may be where the tape first gets introduced. That outcome is very plausible considering Ron C has provided mixes for the Beats 1 program in the past.
Besides OG Ron C’s involvement with OVO, Malcs’ family history seems to be closely aligned with the YMCMB superstar’s brand as well. Malcolm is the son of a Canadian mother and Trinidadian father. Drake is the current voice of Toronto, and his Views LP was laced with West Indian references.
With all these various connections, does Malcs have an interest in inking his name on an OVO contract? He is not opposed to signing a deal with Drizzy’s imprint or perhaps another record company such as Lyor Cohen’s 300 Entertainment.
“I would have no problem doing that. I feel like I have a great understanding for what would be the best fit for my music and who can take me to the place I need to be,” responds Malcs to the question of whether he would consider joining a label. “I feel like OVO is one of the top ones that I would sign to. I feel like my music is similar to the OVO sound.”
As Malcs prepares to deliver the most recent representation of his musical direction, the Towson University graduate expects The Rest Is History to make a measurable impact on his trajectory as an artist. In addition, he hopes the project assists in shining a larger light on the entire DMV Hip-Hop awakening taking place.
“I feel like this project is one of the things where I get a lot of eyeballs on me. I feel like it’s the project that’s going to be the breakout, because before it was all organic. I almost touched a million plays on SoundCloud with no blog help,” Malcs declares. “You guys are going to see the work is there already. I’m making moves that will help make the area pop, not just myself.”

According to Radar Online, the California rapper allegedly owed Jenner $2 million after accumulating debt for around a year.
She supposedly funded the rapper’s legal bid to leave Cash Money, in addition to Tyga’s latest album.
According to the report:
“He was shocked when she asked to be paid, telling her he thought the money was a gift, not a loan,” the insider said. “He’s a total loser and owes her over $2 million.” – Radar Online
Kylie had to open up about the rumors circulating on Twitter and said that they were “lies.”
