Young Thug’s Lawyer Learns Appeal’s Fate After Infamous Showdown With Judge

The Georgia Supreme Court reversed a judge’s controversial decision to hold Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel in contempt on Tuesday (October 22). Justices said Judge Ural Glanville’s actions prevented Steel from receiving due process in the courtroom dispute, which rocked the YSL RICO trial.

“Because the announcement of a specific punishment was delayed by the trial court, Steel was entitled to additional process,” the Georgia Supreme Court noted. “In particular, he was entitled to have the matter heard by a different judge. Steel’s repeated refusal to comply with Judge Glanville’s direct order was conduct directed toward the judge … The exchange between Steel and Judge Glanville makes clear that Judge Glanville was involved in the controversy. For these reasons, a different judge should have presided over the contempt hearing and the failure to do so requires reversal.”

Last June, Judge Glanville held Steel in contempt for refusing to reveal how the attorney learned about the judge’s secret meeting with a witness in Young Thug’s trial. The judge ordered Steel to spend 10 weekends in jail, but the order was placed on hold pending Steel’s appeal.

Attorney Ashleigh Merchant, who represented Steel in his appeal, celebrated their victory on social media.

“Brian Steel’s contempt is reversed by the Supreme Court! Justice has prevailed!!!” she wrote. “It was my absolute honor to work with this team of some of the finest lawyers in the country to represent one of our finest, Brian Steel. Hooray for justice!!”

Judge Glanville presided over the bulk of Young Thug’s slow-moving trial, but June’s clash with Steel led to the judge’s removal. Judge Rachel Krause granted Young Thug’s motion to disqualify/recuse Judge Glanville in July.

“This court has no doubt that Judge Glanville can and would continue presiding fairly over this matter if the recusal motions were denied, but the ‘necessity of preserving the public’s confidence in the judicial system’ weighs in favor of excusing Judge Glanville from further handling of this case,” Judge Krause ruled.

Judge Paige Reese Whitaker eventually took over Young Thug’s trial, which started in 2023 but hasn’t concluded. Young Thug has remained in jail since his 2022 arrest.

Is Latto Shifting Positions On “Brokey” To Save Fanbase?

Atlanta’s rap queen Latto is still in the hot seat, at least with the people I know.

Her latest track “Brokey” has racked up over 3 million views on YouTube, but shouldn’t it have more? I think folks are still all up in their feelings over the song. One line in particular got a lot of panties in a bunch: “Gotta wait till they birthday to go out of town.” That hit the baddies in the chocha!

The streets and whatnot claim Latto is out of touch while the working class folks are out here grinding for everything they got. At the same time, rapper have always rapped like this and continue to do so. I will admit, we are used to it (us men). Women have not been bullied like the dudes, but Latto woke them up! She called them “Brokey” and I find it so funny. She was not about to start losing fans over a song!

Latto and her team have moved to do the right thing – trash men as rap songs typically do. I hate it, but women are running the show now from Hip-Hop and hopefully to the White House. That said, you cannot go around slashing women for being broke. That is reserved for dudes.

First, she launched a contest to uplift the “working class.” And the winner of the #BrokeyChallenge was put in the recent video for the song. Money gives everybody pause! It should be noted: they edited out that line about “going out of town” for all the broke chicks mad!

Check it out below and let me know what you think.

They definitely go over the top to create a “No Scrubs” sort of video. I think…they did a good job of shifting the energy. Salute.

Kanye West Shops With Wife In Tokyo Amid Reports Kim Kardashian Practically “A Single Mom”

Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori continued to dispel divorce rumors with another outing in Tokyo amid reports Kim Kardashian is raising the children she shares with the rapper “pretty much a single mom.”

On Tuesday morning (October 21) footage surfaced online of West and Censori on a shopping trip in Japan’s capital city. West is said to be focused on recording his next album, Bully, while in Tokyo.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, PEOPLE reported that Kanye West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian is centering all her attention on their four children, North, 11, Chicago, 6, Saint, 8 and Psalm, 5.

An insider told the outlet the  SKIMS founder is “pretty much a single mom,” claiming West is frequently “not around.”

The source added that Kardashian isn’t dating and her “life is around her kids’ schedules. When they are in school, she works. When they are off, she’s very much focused on being a mom.”

Earlier this month, West and Censori faced fresh claims from a woman who filed a lawsuit accusing the rapper of drugging and assaulting her at a Diddy studio session.

Lauren Pisciotta filed an 88-page amendment to her original lawsuit filed in June, alleging West has a fetish for his lovers’ mothers, including his own wife’s mom. In her complaint, Pisciotta claims West told his wife that he wanted to have sex with her mother while she watched.

She also alleged West transformed his office into a “sexual playground,” claiming Censori was his “sex party coordinator.”

How André 3000 & Scarface Changed The Direction Of T.I.’s Career

T.I. Announces Final Two Albums, Kiss the King and Kill the King, as His Musical Legacy

Rap legend T.I. is marching steadily to his retirement, but first he sat down with AllHipHop to discuss the projects that represents a final chapter in his remarkable career in rap.

The Atlanta rep explained how revered lyricists André 3000 and Scarface impacted his thought on the impending opuses, Kiss the King and Kill the King.

T.I., who dubbed himself “The King of the South,” reminisced about how Scarface had no interest in the title. “I don’t want to be king, you can have it,” ‘Face said according to Tip. Meanwhile, André 3000 posed a philosophical question: “What does it really mean to be king?”

Finally, Big Boi warned him that with the crown comes a target. “The king is the target because you can’t be looking for no favor. Ain’t nobody gonna help you with nothing,” T.I. said Big Boi told him.

As T.I. evolved over time, he began to see the weight of the title and ego that came with it.

“Chess is a game of life, and the object is to kill the king,” T.I. told DJ Thoro at WonWorld Studios, reflecting on how the king represents the ego. With Kill the King, the rapper intends to put that ego to rest. “To really find peace, you gotta starve the ego,” he concluded.

Kiss the King is for his female fans. “It’s been an illustrious ride,” T.I. stated. “This one is definitely for the ladies.” On the other hand, Kill the King takes on a more aggressive tone.

Eminem Set For Rare Public Appearance At Kamala Harris Rally in Detroit

Eminem is reportedly making a rare appearance at a Kamala Harris campaign rally in Detroit on Tuesday evening (October 22).

CNN reports the Motor City legend will introduce former President Barack Obama at a get-out-the-vote rally for Kamala Harris, just weeks ahead of the 2024 President election.

Eminem is not slated to perform at the rally. However, in an even rarer turn of events, the rapper is expected to speak on the race, presumably to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris.

Eminem voiced his support for Kamala Harris in 2020, endorsing the Biden-Harris ticket and authorizing his hit single “Lose Yourself” for a campaign ad.

Eminem Is A Vocal Critic Of Donald Trump

Over the years, Eminem has been a fiercely staunch critic of Harris’s political rival, Donald Trump.

In October 2017, less than a year after Trump took office, Eminem unleashed on the then-President in a blistering BET Awards freestyle. He called Trump a “racist,” said that “we f###### hate Trump,” and rapped about his fears that he would “probably cause a nuclear holocaust.”

Later that year, Em didn’t hold back at the Reading Festival in the U.K.

“I’m not about to stand up here and use this f#####’ stage for some kind of a platform to be all political and s###,” he began. “I don’t want to cause any controversy so I won’t say no names — but this mother f##### Donald Trump I can’t stand!”

His words sparked an impromptu audience chat of “F### Donald Trump.”

On his 2018 album Kamikaze, Eminem accused Donald Trump of sending the Secret Service to investigate his links to “terrorists” and determine whether he was a threat.

It was later reported Secret Service agents did, in fact, investigate Eminem in January 2018 over the lyrics in his BET freestyle and those from Revival cut “Framed.”

Eminem joins a number of fellow rappers and entertainers who have endorsed Kamala Harris in the upcoming elections.

Diddy’s Children Defend Father From “False Narratives” Amid Latest Shocking Allegations

The children of Sean “Diddy” Combs are speaking out in support of their father, calling out “conspiracy theories, and false narratives” about the incarcerated mogul.

In a social media post on Tuesday morning (October 22), the Combs siblings expressed their anguish in the weeks following Diddy’s arrest.

“The past month has devastated our family,” they began. “Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media.”

However, the Combs children are “united” in their support of Diddy and believe the truth will prevail.

“We stand united, supporting you every step of the way,” the post continued. “We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family.”

They concluded, “WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD.”

The statement was from Six of Diddy’s seven children, all of whom supported their father at his latest court appearance. Quincy Brown, 33, Justin Combs, 30, Christian Combs, 26, Chance Combs, 18, and twins Jessie and D’Lila Combs, 17, were seen walking into court alongside their grandmother Janice Combs.

Diddy Seeks Gag Order

The Combs siblings’ statement arrived as Diddy’s legal team sought a gag order to stop his alleged victims’ attorneys from speaking about his criminal case.

“As the Court is aware, Mr. Combs has been the target of an unending stream of allegations by prospective witnesses and their counsel in the press,” his attorneys argued. “These prospective witnesses and their lawyers have made numerous inflammatory extrajudicial statements aimed at assassinating Mr. Combs’ character in the press. Witnesses’ lawyers have also vouched for the credibility and character of their clients and opined on the potential evidence.”

The Bad Boy Records founder denies the allegations. He awaits trial for racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution charges.

Cardi B Vows To Sue Cops, CPS Over False Child Abuse Allegations

Cardi B is furious after cops and Child Protective Services turned up at her house late at night to investigate allegations of child abuse following a call from a “prankster.”

Furthermore, the NYC rapper vowed to hire celebrity attorney Drew Findling to sue the authorities and the person responsible for sending them to her home.

Despite being so sick that she was struggling to breathe properly, Cardi B hopped on Instagram Live Monday (October 21), warning there will be hell to pay over the child abuse allegations.

“Y’all muthafuckas have taken s### too f###### far,” she began. “When you mess with my f###### kids, I swear to you I’m going to get to the f###### bottom bottom of it, okay.”

The rant continued, with Cardi B revealing someone had placed an anonymous call to CPS.

“For Child Protective services to come to my f###### house-not my house, my gated Mansion at 11:00 p.m. while my childrens are sleeping because there’s an anonymous call that my kids have been getting abused and beaten. Are you f###### dumb?” she added.

Cardi B Intends To Sue Cops, CPS & Anonymous Caller

After noting, “We are the only colored people in my neighborhood,” Cardi B threatened to take legal action.

“I promise you this. I’m gonna sue Child Protective Services for f###### coming to my house at whatever the f### time it comes,” she stated. “I’m also going to sue the person that did this anonymous call. And soon as I wake up in the morning, I’m calling Drew Findling because I’m going to get to the bottom of this. I’mma hire the best private investigator in the whole f###### country because y’all take joking and y’all take s### a little too far.”

Cardi B then warned not to play with her and “ex-husband” Offset insisting they’re great parents.

“We don’t play that s###,” she said. “My kids live great. My kids have never been touched, never got hit. No matter how annoying they are, I never hit my kids.”

Shyne Insists He Was “Set Up To Be The Fall Guy” In 1999 Nightclub Shooting Diddy Cleared Of

Former rapper Shyne is set to open up about the infamous New York nightclub shooting that changed his life in a new Hulu documentary The Honorable Shyne

The former Bad Boy artist-turned-politician maintains his innocence over the 1999 shooting that saw him spend nearly 10 years of his life behind bars. Both Diddy and Shyne were arrested following the incident, but Diddy was acquitted of all charges. In the trailer for the new documentary, Shyne declares, “I was absolutely set up to be the fall guy” for the crime.

“I spent 10 years in prison, but I was able to move on,” Shyne explained. “There’s a time to pivot, there’s a time to transition.”

Diddy insists he was innocent of the shooting in one clip from the trailer. “I had nothing to do with a shooting in this club,” he said in footage from a press conference.

The teaser begins with Shyne recalling being rap’s hottest new prospect. “Everybody that heard me wanted to sign me,” he stated before revealing he became a millionaire at Bad Boy Records.

The documentary chronicles the sacrifices Shyne made in his journey from rap star to politician. Shyne is now Leader of the Opposition in the Belize House of Representatives and heads The Belize United Democratic Party.

The logline reveals: “His journey is one of redemption, resilience, and transformation. This documentary provides an intimate look at Shyne’s personal evolution as he navigates fame, incarceration and a return home to Belize, where he finds new purpose and strives to lead his country to a brighter future.”

Shyne Says Diddy “Sent Me To Prison”

Shyne addressed his relationship with Diddy last month after the embattled mogul was arrested for racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution charges.

“This is someone who in essence testified against me when I was on trial, when I was an 18-year-old kid just wanting to do nothing other than make my mother proud and make Belize proud,” he stated. “I was defending him, and he turned around and called witnesses to testify against me and he contributed; he pretty much sent me to prison.”

When asked about Diddy’s “freak off” parties, Shyne insisted he had nothing to do with his former mentor’s personal life.

“No interaction at that level,” he explained. Everything was strictly on a professional level.”

The Honorable Shyne airs on Hulu November 18.

Man Charged With Killing “Baby Shark” Rapper Ralan Styles In Suspected Botched Robbery

22-year-old rapper Ralan Styles, known for his remix of viral children’s song “Baby Shark,” was shot and killed in a suspected robbery gone wrong.

Ralan Styles, real name Michael Robinson, was reportedly shot and killed on Saturday morning (October 19) in Columbus, Ohio, when a robber tried to steal his chain, according to The Daily Mail. The outlet reports that witnesses said the alleged killer shot Ralan Styles in a scuffle before fleeing the scene.

Columbus Police reportedly arrived on the scene around 5 a.m., after receiving a call for immediate assistance. They were flagged down and ushered into a home by a man who led them inside the building where Ralan Styles had been shot.

Officers discovered Robinson bleeding from gunshot wounds and attempted to revive him. Despite first responders’ efforts, Robinson was pronounced dead at 5:10 a.m.

Witnesses provided police with a detailed description of the shooter, leading them to locate 24-year-old Mahamood Hassan in the nearby area. Hassan reportedly matched the description and was also picked out by witnesses in a police lineup.

He was arrested and charged in the fatal shooting on a charge of first-degree murder. Hassan was arraigned in Franklin County Municipal Court Monday morning (October 21), per NBC 15. A judge set bond at $2 million. Hassan will face court on Monday (October 29).

Ralan Styles’ Label Pays Tribute

Robinson’s record label, Big Money Records, announced his death in an Instagram post Saturday.

“Michael was not just an incredible talent but also a kind-hearted soul who poured his heart into every song he made for his fans,” Big Money Records wrote in an Instagram caption. “He touched many lives through his music, and his legacy will live on through the beats and lyrics he created.”

Busta Rhymes Warns Against Rushed Judgments In Diddy Controversy

Busta Rhymes is reserving judgment when it comes to Sean “Diddy” Combs and believes others should “mind they damn business,” until the truth is uncovered.

The Hip-Hop icon weighed in on the subject during a recent interview, explaining he cannot speak to the veracity of the shocking allegations as he has never witnessed anything that the Bad Boy Records Boss is accused of.

However, like Method Man, Busta Rhymes is clear that the scandal surrounding Diddy is not an indictment of Hip-Hop as a whole. “His situation is not a hip-hop situation,” Busta explained during an interview with Extra. “And I also would like for everyone to be mindful of the thirst and the urgency and the need to speak on the situation. I think a lot of times, people don’t realize how insensitive it could be to have opinions on things that you have no understanding of outside of what you’re being told.”

During an interview last month, Method Man said Diddy’s downfall “has nothing to do with hip-hop…at all.” He added, “I don’t see the correlation whatsoever.”

Busta Rhymes explained that he prefers to wait for the truth to come to light “because I think understanding is the absence of confusion.”

Busta Rhymes Says “Justice Needs To Be Served”

However, he held back on offering his opinion on the allegations against Diddy to avoid hurting anybody involved.

“The one thing that we should take away from what I’m saying is everybody probably need to mind they damn business until the truth is undisputed,” he stated. “At that point, justice needs to be served accordingly for everyone involved.”

He added, “It’s unfortunate, because I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy, and I’m talking about for the victims and I’m talking about for Diddy. So, I’m gonna leave it there, and I’m gonna mind my business, and hopefully everybody can find it in they hearts to keep they opinion to theyself and just know that everytime you voice an opinion, you might be hurting somebody.”

Busta Rhymes concluded by saying, “I wasn’t there for none of it” but added, “for the people who were there, let’s think about them first before you think about your own opinion. Put prayers up for them all.”

Diddy was hit with another deluge of lawsuits Monday (October 21). Texas lawyer Tony Buzbee filed seven lawsuits less than a week after he filed the first six complaints by anonymous claimants. More than 100 other accusers have come forward against Diddy.

Queen Latifah and Missy Elliott have been awarded the National Medals of Arts, the highest honor given to artists by the United States government.

President Biden honored the Hip-Hop icons at a ceremony at the White House on Monday (October 21).

The National Medal of Arts is “the highest award given to artists, arts patrons, and groups by the United States Government and honors exemplary individuals and organizations that have advanced the arts in America and offered inspiration to others through their distinguished achievement, support, or patronage.”

In a social media post after the ceremony, Elliott expressed her gratitude for the honor, reflecting on her grit and determination to push through no matter what.

They are truth-tellers, bridge-builders, and change-seekers. And above all they are masters of their crafts who have made us a better America.”

Wale Gives GloRilla Her Flowers As Album Eyes Top 10 Debut

Wale took a moment to recognize GloRilla as she celebrated the success of her debut album GLORIOUS.

On Monday (October 21), the former Maybach Music Group (MMG) lyricist dedicated a few choice characters in a tweet to the “Let Her Cook” rapper who he feels is currently illuminating the rap game. To preface Wale’s comments, it’s worth noting that GloRilla’s debut album, released under Yo Gotti’s Create Music Group (CMG) imprint, earned a top ten debut on the Billboard 200 chart after accumulating more than 77 million on-demand streams in its first tracking week.

Coincidentally enough, Wale decided to share his thoughts on Big Glo’s LP while also co-signing her as a “light” and comparing the album to a particularly storied release from his early discography.

“Glorilla project remind me of ambition album,” Wale wrote in part before adding, “That girl is a light in the game right now.”

In addition to graciously thanking Wale for his kind words, GloRilla also took a moment to give herself her own props, writing in a follow-up tweet, “STOP PLAYING WIT DAT GIRL.”

There’s certainly cause for GloRilla’s celebration, considering GLORIOUS represents a major milestone for the Memphis-bred rapper. According to ChartData, GloRilla’s album moved 69,000 first-week units, which translates to 12,000 pure sales and an appearance at the No. 5 slot on the Billboard 200 Album Chart. This serves as her first Top 10 appearance on the chart after her 2022 project Anyways, Life’s Great... project peaked at No. 11 and her Ehhthang Ehhthang release reached No. 18 on the chart earlier this year. GloRilla now has two Billboard Top 10 chart appearances, with the inclusion of her and Cardi B’s “Tomorrow 2” single, which peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100 Chart in 2022.

“S/O to God, my fans & supporter & my team!!!! Thank yall,” GloRilla wrote in a tweet celebrating er latest career milestone.

In contrast, Wale’s Ambition album, which was released in 2011 during the peak of his time under the fold at Maybach Music Group, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart after selling 164,000 copies in its first week. While GloRilla’s album has spawned successful singles such as “TGIF” Wale captured the attention of the entire industry with his album’s#### single “Lotus Flower Bomb” featuring Miguel, and the album eventually earned a Gold certification from the RIAA in June 2013 after selling over 500,000 copies.

GloRilla definitely has some bragging rights over Wale, though, considering she just received the ultimate vote of confidence from Rihanna, who said she would enlist Big Glo to handle the Fenty theme song if she had the chance.

ATL Jacob Accused Of Shading Cardi B—Again—Over Billboard Latin Music Awards Win

ATL Jacob has been accused of exacerbating his ongoing feud with Cardi B after celebrating his latest award. Both ATL Jacob and Cardi B engaged in a fiery back-and-forth on Twitter after the “Tomorrow 2” rapper accused the “Wait For You” producer of shading her in a tweet amid her cheating scandal with estranged husband Offset playing out over social media.

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

Fast forward to present day, the producer has drawn renewed criticism from fans after celebrating his newest accolade following the Billboard Latin Music Awards, where he took home the prize after competing in the Crossover Artist of the Year category.

“Just Won my first Billboard Latin Award Gracias,” ATL Jacob wrote in a tweet accompanied by a screenshot of the Billboard article featuring the nominees he faced off against.

Seemingly putting his followers on notice that he wasn’t done making waves just yet, he added in a follow-up tweet, “I’m just doing side missions fr … bout to get back to the Main story tho.”

In addition to facing legacy act such as renowned DJs Marshmello and Tiësto, ATL Jacob prevailed over his artist competitors, which included afrobeat sensation Rema and none other than his social media nemesis, Cardi B. As expected, fans immediately zeroed in on Cardi’s name, and attributed ATL Jacob’s celebration of the feat as a veiled swipe at the New York native.

“Messy boots,” one user wrote in the thread, to which another user replied, “Congratulation!!!! Winning over the haters name!!”

The quoted replies to ATL Jacob’s tweet reaction were just as flagrant, if not more inflammatory than the replies in the thread, and saw users comparing him to Cardi’s formidable foe Nicki Minaj.

“He is just as shady as nicki lmfao,” one user wrote.

In another quoted reaction, a user accused ATL Jacob af attempting to do more than just get his get-back on Cardi B, writing, “his gay messy a## wants round two.”

While it’s unclear whether or not ATL Jacob meant any shade in sharing the tweet, he has made it clear that there are no issues with Cardi B, at least on his end.

In a candid interview with Baller Alert, ATL Jacob set the record straight regarding accusations that he shaded Cardi B on Twitter (X) amid her and Offset’s ongoing cheating scandal and looming divorce. The producer emphatically denied any negative intentions behind his quoted reply of a scenario referencing Cardi’s alleged infidelity to Offset while she was pregnant in a tweet he shared that quoted Future’s lyrics.

“I don’t shade her, I never shaded her for one,” ATL Jacob clarified. “Your husband [Offset], well now ex or whatever y’all going through, that’s my boy. So why would I shade you?”

The producer made it clear that he valued his friendship with Offset and had no interest in creating tension between himself and Cardi B. He continued, “At the end of the day, you his BM no matter what. Y’all relationship gonna always be up and down.”

Is Kanye West An Absentee Father?

Last week, there were rumors that Kanye West wanted to relocated his children with Kim Kardashian to Tokyo, Japan. I am not sure how that can be possible since he shares custody of the kids. Well, that may be the issue. Sources connected to his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, suggest that Ye is already not very involved in his children’s lives.

Kim Kardashian is handling most of the parenting on her own, per a source over at People magazine. A presumed source close to the 44-year-old reality star shared that her main focus North, 11, Chicago, 6, Saint, 8, and Psalm, 5. DAYUM! Kim is “basically a single mom,” because Kanye West is not around.

Kim does the majority of the parenting. They said Kim has plenty help, but she still struggles with it. She struggles as much as an insanely rich person can. The report says everything revolves around the kids. She works until they get home, they say. On another tip, she’s single and is prioritizing her career and motherhood instead.

I don’t know. This could be the slandering of a Black man, the truth told about a deadbeat bum or a combination of both. I do think Kanye has the ability to move around without judgment, which does not mean you do not have to be a father to your seeds.

I present to you:

YSL Member Mounk Tounk Blames His Eight Children For Plea Deal; Gets Probation Revoked

Former YSL co-defendant Antonio Sledge, aka Mounk Tounk, had his five years of probation revoked after a Fulton County judge ruled that he violated a 2022 plea agreement by providing dishonest testimony in court.

The decision comes following allegations from prosecutors that Sledge deliberately contradicted his original statements, throwing a wrench into ongoing court proceedings tied to his case.

Sledge, who struck a plea deal last year that required him to cooperate with the state’s case and confirm 16 specific factual assertions, is accused of failing to uphold his end of the bargain during testimony given in September.

Instead of fully corroborating the timeline and circumstances surrounding the 2015 murder of Donovan Thomas—a central event in the prosecution’s case—Sledge repeatedly claimed, “I don’t recall,” in reference to key details he’d agreed to speak on.

The discrepancies didn’t sit well with the court.

“Even if we entirely disregard item number eight of the factual acknowledgments,” the judge said during the hearing, “there are still many other ones that the state is relying upon. I don’t see how you get around the rest of it. One thing was sworn to in open court on December 28, 2022, and then something diametrically opposite was sworn to under oath on September 5.”

Sledge has defended his behavior by citing personal stress at the time of his initial decision to accept the plea deal.

He told the court that his mother was sick and faced with financial hardship and the responsibility of caring for his eight children; he felt pushed into accepting terms that included 15 years of probation.

Prosecutors, taking issue with Sledge’s dishonesty on the stand, have now requested that he receive the maximum prison sentence permitted, signaling a hardline approach to enforcing plea agreements.

Donovan Thomas, known by the nickname “Big Nutt,” was killed outside an Atlanta barbershop in 2015 in what authorities allege was the work of YSL members, including rapper Young Thug.

The murder considered a pivotal event, reportedly inflamed tensions between the rival YSL and YFN gangs and contributed to a chain of violent retaliations in the Atlanta area.

Tyler, The Creator Goes Full Nigerian Avante Gard in “NOID”

Tyler, the Creator’s newest video from his upcoming album CHROMAKOPIA will have fans globally talking for quite some time. The visuals for “NOID” kick off with Tyler strolling down a busy street, bumping into passersby along the way. Soon, there’s The Bear star Ayo Edebiri, as a deranged fan screaming his name. Suddenly, the obsessed fan’s phone suddenly into a gun, and mania ensues.

“NOID” samples a Zambian rock band from the 70s called Nizakupanga Ngzo by the Ngozi family and Paul Ngozi.

Edebiri and Tyler worked together on Netflix’s Big Mouth and are now friends. “NOID” is the latest track from Tyler’s upcoming album CHROMAKOPIA. Last week, he announced the album and released the first single, “St. Chroma” with Daniel Caesar. Ralo Compares His Legacy In The Streets To “Black Mafia Family” Co-Founder Big Meech

Ralo has once again generated headlines based on a bold video he shared on social media in light of recent news surrounding Black Mafia Family (BMF) founder Big Meech.

In a video the Atlanta rapper shared on Instagram, Ralo compared his street legacy to that of BMF co-founder Big Meech, emphasizing his belief that the lore of their hustle made a major impact in the streets.

In addition to claiming that he and Meech did it “the biggest” Ralo claims he was the first of his age to reach the heights that he did while he was still actively hustling.

“Listen, I’m not discrediting none of the big homies for what they did in these streets and how much money n###a made — me and Meech, we did the biggest, we made that sht look good,” Ralo said.

“We put that s##t in they face. We made them folk come get up with us. N###a ain’t fun having all that money if you can’t put it in a n###a’s face. Now y’all going to tell me that n###as popped that harder than me and me. That’s cap.”

As he continued, Ralo backed up his initial decry by remarking on how he and Meech flaunted their wealth and style in the streets at the height of their criminal activity.

“I was the first young n###a in the city of Atlanta with a Lamborghini at such a young age,” he said.

“Bought this whole community, had tons and tons of money on planes and jets and s##t.”

Ralo confidently claimed that he and Meech were on a different level compared to their predecessors, dismissing the old-school style of other well-known figures such as “Freeway” Rick Ross.

“So look, I ain’t discrediting no n###a, I ain’t been cocky or nothong, but man me and Meech we did it the big we had fun n###a,” he said.

“Them other n###as, them n##### didn’t even know how to dress. Like stop playing. Like talking about Rick Ross.”

He added, “They had them big, ugly, loud church suits on.”

Ralo’s latest comments about Big Meech follow the advice he offered the Detroit native that the streets are dead and to find a legitimate hustle now that he’s eyeing his official release from custody in 2025. Big Meech was recently transferred from FCI Coleman Low prison to a community confinement center overseen by Miami Residential Reentry Management Office.

His projected release date is January 27, 2026 and reports have revealed he’ll be placed on supervised release for five years once his time is served there. While both Ralo and Big Meech made headlines for their criminal activities, their perspective cases and outcomes are drastically different. Big Meech was sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2008 for his role in running the BMF drug empire. Ralo was convicted of marijuana trafficking in 2018 and was promptly sentenced to eight years in federal prison.

FBG Duck’s Mother Reacts To Lil Durk’s Tribute Following Explosive Lawsuit

Lil Durk paid tribute to the late FBG Duck and others at a concert in Chicago on Sunday (October 20). FBG Duck’s mother Lasheena Weekly questioned the motives on Monday (October 21).

“IMA NEED YALL TO HASHTAG #DUCKDIDITFIRST n REPOST THIS PIC IF U THINK THAT S### NOT CAP,” she wrote on Instagram.

Weekly and two shooting victims sued Lil Durk, his OTF label, King Von’s estate and more on October 9. The lawsuit implicated Lil Durk in FBG Duck’s 2020 murder.

“Lil Durk and [his brother] DThang as corporate officers of OTF knew King Von placed a $100,000.00 bounty to kill FBG Duck and actively participated to have FBG Duck killed and/or to cover up the killing of FBG Duck,” the lawsuit alleged.

The wrongful death lawsuit claimed Lil Durk and his label OTF “knew of King Von’s murders, batteries, assaults, robberies and criminal conduct prior to signing King Von to OTF.” King Von “intended to use OTF to commit robberies and/or murders of other musical artists and to further the activities of O-Block and the Black Disciple’s street gang,” per the complaint. Lil Durk allegedly participated in and was presented for assaults, batteries and robberies committed by King Von.

Weekly accused her son’s killers of acting on the orders of Lil Durk and King Von, who died in 2020. The lawsuit said OTF and other record labels “monetized” FBG Duck’s murder.

“UMG/Interscope, Sony/Alamo, OTF [and] Empire salivated in the profit garnered by the depiction and eventual killing of FBG Duck,” Weekly’s lawyers argued. “So much so that Lil Durk, an international artist, celebrated through music the demise of FBG Duck, which UMG/Interscope, Sony/Alamo, OTF [and] Empire marketed, promoted for profit furthering the activities of the O-block criminal enterprise.”

FBG Duck was shot 16 times outside a store in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. Six gang members were convicted for their roles in FBG Duck’s murder in January.

Polo G Arrested On Gun Charges Again

Polo G was arrested for felony possession of a concealed weapon in San Fernando Valley, California on Saturday (October 19). He remains in custody at the Van Nuys Jail, per Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department records.

According to TMZ, authorities busted Polo G for gun possession during a traffic stop. He was pulled over for speeding. Officers found a loaded pistol while searching his vehicle.

Polo G, whose real name is Taurus Bartlett, was previously arrested on gun charges in April. Cops apprehended him after a maid found a gun in his New York hotel. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a loaded firearm.

The Columbia Records artist’s October 19 arrest wasn’t the first time he landed in a California jail. Last year, he was booked for possession of a short-barreled rifle following a raid of his Los Angeles area home. His lawyer claimed he was illegally detained.

Polo G’s latest legal woes may threaten his Hood Poet Tour if he can’t secure his release from jail. His tour is scheduled to begin in Denver on Thursday (October 24). Shows are booked through the end of the month and much of November.

Diddy’s Legal Team Demands Gag Order To Stop Character Assassination

Sean “Diddy” Combs requested a gag order to stop his alleged victims’ attorneys from speaking about his criminal case. The incarcerated mogul’s lawyers sought to prevent “further prejudicing” of his right to a fair trial, per court documents obtained by AllHipHop.

Diddy’s legal team accused other lawyers of making “shockingly prejudicial and false allegations” regarding sexual assault and abuse of minors. His attorneys urgently demanded a judge’s help, seeking a response by October 30.

“These lawyers have done the government’s work for them, repeatedly vouching for the government and commenting on the strength of the government’s case,” Diddy’s counsel contended. “These lawyers are – by their own admission – in communication with the government about their clients acting as potential witnesses. As counsel for witnesses in this case, these lawyers are prohibited from making statements under Local Rule 23.1. Moreover, because these statements undoubtedly threaten Mr. Combs’s right to a fair trial and no other remedies exist, this Court should exercise its discretion in issuing an order requiring all potential witnesses and their counsel to refrain from making extrajudicial statements that have a substantial likelihood to interfere with Mr. Combs’ trial or otherwise prejudice the due administration of justice.”

Diddy wanted his alleged victims’ lawyers to remove any online postings of the allegations under their control. He asked prosecutors to disclose if they directed or authorized extrajudicial statements.

The Bad Boy Records founder awaits trial for racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution charges. He maintains his innocence.
