Drake Sees “Pop Style” & “One Dance” Debut In Top 25; Pulls Closer To Tie With Elvis

(AllHipHop News) Despite a lot of people having something negative to say about Drake’s “Chaining Tatum” line and Jay Z’s limited bars on “Pop Style,” Champagne Papi fans did not stop consuming the single as well as his other April 5 release “One Dance.” Both songs debuted in the Top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“Pop Style” featuring The Throne (Jay Z & Kanye West) hit #16 on the chart after totaling 128,000 first-week downloads. “One Dance” featuring Wizkid and Kyla was not far behind. The cut opened at #21 with 104,000 downloads.

In addition, Drake holds onto the top spot on the Hot 100 as a featured artist on Rihanna’s “Work.” The duo’s smash record spends its eighth straight week at #1. The Toronto rhymer also sits in another spot on the chart. Drake lending his talents to OVO Sound artist PartyNextDoor’s “Come And See Me” puts him at #97 as well.

With “Pop Style,” “One Dance,” and “Come And See Me” all arriving on the Hot 100 this week, Drake (107) is now only one song behind Elvis Presley (108) for a third place tie on the list of most career Hot 100 appearances. He is very likely to surpass Presley after his album Views From The 6 becomes available for streaming via Apple Music on April 29.

2 Chainz’s “Thot” Accuser Is Back At It Again!

The woman who sued rapper 2 Chainz for $5 million for calling her a thot in a viral video, has now accused 2 Chainz of having her family’s car shot up in retaliation for her filing the law suit. According to Christine Chisholm, Chainz’s violent harassment has been nonstop since she filed her defamation suit against him. Chisholm says her and her relative’s cars were shot up as they sat parked outside of her mother’s home. Chisholm believes 2 Chainz targeted her mother’s home because that’s the address she used in her lawsuit.

Chisholm also claimed that one of 2 Chainz’s associates approached her telling her that he sent her to attack her. Months later she said someone approached her and pointed a gun at her, and weeks later she said someone hit her with their car while she was out jogging. Dang! Chisholm already lost her $5 million lawsuit against 2 Chainz! Apparently Chisholm wants to file a new suit because she represented herself last time, and as random acts of violence have occurred since. Check out the filed complaints obtained by BOSSIPhere.

Do you think 2 Chainz had anything to do with the attacks, or maybe it could just be his angry fans?

(EXCLUSIVE) Calliope Bub Speaks On C Murder and Boosie Baddass Album ‘Penitentiary Chances,’ Project Debuts On iTunes Front Page

(AllHipHop News) With C-Murder fighting a life sentence as he waits on a pardon from President Obama, the rapper and Boosie Badazz have released their highly anticipated and controversial project Penitentiary Chances.

The collaborative project has caused a stir throughout the Hip-Hop community as Angola State Penitentiary officials continue to investigate whether or not C-Murder was able to record while he was in prison.

Sources confirmed to AllHipHop.com that C has been put in the hole (solitary confinement) for releasing the record as well as the ensuing press it garnered, since he’s not supposed to be releasing albums while he’s locked up in one of Angola’s strictest housing unit.

However, Lil Soulja Slim refuted those reports that he recorded the record in jail just weeks ago, when LSS affirmed that the two recorded material while C-Murder was on house arrest.

C-Murder, born Corey Miller, is currently serving a life sentence for the alleged murder of a teenager at a New Orleans club in 2002.

Calliope Bub, one of the prominently featured artists on the project recently spoke about the recording process with AllHipHop.com in an exclusive interview as TRU Records prepared for the release of Penitentiary Chances.

“I’m from the same hood as C, and I’ve been grinding with my music so the streets been gravitating towards my music, so it was only right they put me on it,” Calliope Bub told AllHipHop.com. “I just want to give them what I know and where I came from, everybody did they part, now its my turn and they liking what I’m giving them so its only right.

“Just me being in the streets grinding, I wasn’t really rapping much, and I hit the road with Lil Soulja Slim and them so I been around them a lot. When I started rapping a lot of people tripped out and once the music sounded good, everyone started loving it and the name Calliope Bub started getting out.”

When asked how C-Murder was holding up, Calliope said that “its been tough” for C facing a crime he allegedly didn’t commit.

“He going through a situation when you doing that kind of time on something you ain’t do, it’s hard and sometimes how can you keep a good spirit up when you know you ain’t do it,” Bub said about C-Murder’s spirits.

“I pray everyday on this and everything, I stay prayed up. I have a lot of stories to tell the people, I’m more of a storyteller rapper of life experiences, so you ain’t got no choice to like what I’m rapping because its all real,” Bub explained to AllHipHop.com, speaking on his faith and music.

Sonny DaVinci Unleashes New Track With “Something Borrowed”

Sonny DaVinci is an upcoming Hip Hop artist ready to feed the masses with his vivid personality and unorthodox style. As an artist, Sonny takes pride in his ability to be versatile in his style, themes and subject matter. Songs in Sonny’s catalog range from conscious to club bangers to street anthems to storytelling, each part a piece of a larger, more complex puzzle that peers into the human mind.

It wasn’t until Sonny met his older brother at age 6, however, that Sonny was introduced and enamored by Hip Hop. After watching his now-favorite emcee, Eminem, on TV, Sonny was startled and intrigued by the animated feel, rebellious attitude, rhyme schemes and intricate patterns found on songs like “My Name Is,” which prompted his original decision to rap at age 9.

His first official single, “Something Borrowed,” is an example of Sonny’s decision to speak on his life and relationships at length. The single, a club-inspired upbeat track, speaks on dealing with a relationship in which one’s girlfriend is always speaking on what her friends’ opinions of her situation is, rather than what she feels. Inspired by true events, Sonny goes on to tell the woman that her friends are always interested in letting her know what they would do if they were in her shoes, as if they secretly want to borrow them. In addition to releasing “Something Borrowed,” Sonny is planning to release his upcoming project, ‘Evaluating Depression’, as well as planning to perform around Dallas, widen his audience, and further establish his brand. Take a listen to the single below!

Slick Rick Becomes An American Citizen After Decades Long Fight

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop fans worldwide should prepare to see a lot more gold chains, rings, and stylish suits as pioneering Grammy-nominated rapper Slick Rick has officially become a U.S. Citizen.

After a 23-year legal process, the rapper born Ricky “Slick Rick” Martin Lloyd Walters, scored a victory today (April 15) attaining duel citizenship in both the U.S. and the U.K..

The English-born rapper and performer was sworn in at an official ceremony alongside dozens of other new citizens in New York.

“I am so proud of this moment – and so honored to finally become an American citizen,” said Slick Rick. “This has been a long time coming for me, and I am relieved to finally put this long chapter behind me. I want to thank everyone – my family, friends and fans – who have supported me and stuck by me over these 23 years. I am truly blessed – and stay tuned, I will have more to announce soon.”

Slick’s musical career took off in just out of high school at 18 years old, when Doug E. Fresh and the Get Fresh Crew featured him, then known as MC Ricky D, on the Hip-Hop classics “The Show” and “La-Di-Da-Di.”

Those songs introduced Rick to the world and were two records that helped mark him as “the greatest story-teller”.

Slick’s legal woes date back to 1990 when he received a prison sentence for the self-defense shooting of his cousin, during which a bystander was injured.

According to the story, his cousin was hired as a bodyguard by Rick’s mother and manager at the time,

The incident was sandwiched between albums at the height of Slick’s career, just a few years after Def Jam released his debut, The Great Adventures of Slick Rick (1988) and prior to the release of The Ruler’s Back (1991)

By 2008 Slick Rick was able to attain a rare pardon from then-New York Governor David A. Paterson who recognized Rick’s stellar conduct, rehabilitation and contribution to his community.

The pardon was celebrated by Rick’s family and fans as well as public figures including Reverend Jesse Jackson, Russell Simmons, Chris Rock, Will Smith, among others.

But the celebrations would be short-lived as Slick Rick was repeatedly threatened with deportation, and spent extra years in a deportation lock up, even though he had avoided trouble with the law since his original arrest.

Now with duel U.K. citizenship Slick Rick will be allowed to stay in the country with family, while also traveling overseas for his career.

Despite all the issues regarding his citizenship, Slick Rick moved with his family to the Bronx when he was 11 years old where he became a legal resident.

To date he has four Billboard Top 200 records, and 14 Top 100 Singles worldwide.

Ali Shaheed Muhammad & Adrian Younge Tapped To Score The Netflix Series Marvel’s ‘Luke Cage’

(AllHipHop News) In an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com in January, record producer/composer Adrian Younge hinted that he and A Tribe Called Quest’s Ali Shaheed Muhammad were scoring a big project in the near future. It turns out Younge was referring to creating music for the upcoming Netflix series Luke Cage.

Entertainment Weekly spoke with Luke Cage executive producer Cheo Hodari Coker (Southland, Ray Donovan) about the show. The Hollywood veteran discussed how the story of the Marvel superhero set in Harlem will tap into urban culture.

“It’s very sophisticated. I mean, it’s got a ’90s Hip Hop vibe, but it’s really forward-thinking. We have Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad doing the scoring for us,” said Coker. “We have a lot of different musical appearances, but at the same time, we’ve got the Marvel action. We’ve got drama. I would like this to be, I mean, I know this is heavy but, The Wire of Marvel television, because we really deal with a lot of different issues.”

Coker also serves as the showrunner and writer for Luke Cage. He has experience penning scripts related to Hip Hop themes. Along with Reggie Rock Bythewood, Coker wrote The Notorious B.I.G. biopic Notorious.

Luke Cage stars Mike Colter, Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick, Mahershala Ali, Theo Rossi, Frank Whaley, and Sônia Braga. The series premieres September 30 on Netflix.

In addition to scoring Luke Cage, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge are collaborating for the joint album The Midnight Hour. Their production was also included on Kendrick Lamar’s untitled unmastered released in March.

Longtime followers of Lupe know he has floated the idea of retirement in the past. Back in 2012, the “Hip-Hop Saved My Life” performer declared he was done with rap after receiving criticism over his “B-tch Bad” single. He went on to release Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 a few weeks later.

Then in January 2015, Lupe announced he was quitting Twitter before returning to the social media platform to promote his most recent album Tetsuo & Youth. The LP earned widespread critical praise.

Quentin Miller Talks Working With Drake On ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Drake is preparing to release his next album Views From The 6 in the coming weeks, but VladTV sat down with Quentin Miller to discuss Drizzy’s last solo project If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. Miller was heavily involved in the making of IYRTITL. Meek Mill even accused Q.M. of being Drake’s ghostwriter for the project and other tracks.

[ALSO READ: Drake Discusses Meek Mill Battle & Quentin Miller Ghostwriting Allegations]

Miller called the experience of working with Drake a highlight of his life. However, he stated being a writer for someone else is not his ideal situation.

“I hate the whole process of me working hard on a song for someone, and then giving it to you and you telling me, ‘Eh, I don’t like…’ I hate that. I’m not a writer,” said Miller.

While Miller would not go into detail on which songs he co-wrote with Drake, the Atlanta rapper did make it clear the two artists were in the studio together for the process. The WDNG Crshrs member also cleared up speculation he only served as a person that offered concepts for songs.

“I don’t know how he portrayed it.. the spark ideas thing. I don’t know how he wants to portray it, but from my perspective, we worked together. It wasn’t a bad thing. It changed my life,” Miller commented.

When it comes to the ghostwriting allegations, Miller only stated he takes issue with the controversy tarnishing the legacy of  If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.

“All the sh-t that happened last year is unfortunate to me, because it clouds a project that I feel like was a strong project, a great project,” added Miller. “It was something I was super proud to be part of.”

TBT: That Time Kobe Dropped A Rap Song With Tyra Banks On The Hook

With Kobe Bryant hanging up the sneaks for his career last night (April 13) we couldn’t help but notice Kobe Bryant’s undeniable connection to the Hip-Hop world. With artists like Kanye, Jay-Z and more in the building to support the Black Mamba’s last game, it got us thinking about that one time that Kobe dropped a song and rapped on a Ruff Ryders-like beat with Tyra Banks on the hook.

As you can see, this was back when Kobe had the ‘fro so the artwork is classic, almost looks like he could be an R&B singer. In the song he gives a shout out to Adidas his former sponsor and talks about trying to find a real love not after his money. While none of this matters now because we all know Kobe is happily married to Vanessa, it is crazy to hear Tyra singing the sexual hook.

“K-O-B-E, I L-O-V-E you
I believe you are very fine
If you give me one chance, I promise to love you
And be with you forever more”

Regardless, we gotta say that the last verse is the best one, check it out below:

Think ya eyein’ me, all along, I’m eyein’ you
The hunter becomes the hunted, girl, I’m preying on you
Beautiful, the feelings we share are mutual
Passion that’s telling me so for us is suitable
Un-controllable desire flows through me
When you say my name, such lust in your slang
No time for games, the games I play, all the same
Can’t get witcha, let the door hitcha, where the Lord splitcha
I figure, hour-glass figures could be dangerous
Cuz if your time runs out, they frame you for your clout
And having a past, well, I stereotype glass
All dimes ain’t money, ass, and feignin’ for a brother’s cash
Slash fame, slash power, slash respect
All the above, makes me a supreme threat to scrubs
Love but do you want? One more ‘gain, let me know
The words flow, from the bottom of your soul
C’mon

Odom Determined To Return To NBA Despite Recent Partying Rumors

Understandably it’s been a journey back from the brink for Lamar Odom since his much publicized and near fatal drug overdose on October 13, 2015 at The Love Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada.  In an incident  that reportedly involved cocaine, a herbal substitute for Viagra, and other possible drugs, Odom was found unconscious in his room lying face down and choking on his own mucus after three days of hard partying at the Dennis Hof owned Nevada Brothel.

Following these events, the road back to normal has been a steady one for Odom, with three months spent in the hospital recuperating from complications including organ damage, multiple strokes and memory loss.  Nevertheless, it would now appear that with Odom’s attendance on March 30th at the Lakers vs. Miami Heat game – his first NBA game since his overdose – as well as Odom’s attendance at former teammate and close associate Kobe Bryant’s final NBA game yesterday,  April 13, 2015 that Odom is finally ready to retake what he believes to be his rightful place in the public arena.

As reported first by ETOnline, Odom is  looking to come out of retirement and “get back on the court,” as his way of regaining himself and his standing in the world.  Considering everything that Odom has endured to this point, both physically and mentally, were he to successfully return to the NBA, it would certainly qualify as an incredible comeback story.  However, as according to recent reports by sources including E!News, ETOnline , and Perez Hilton, the real fly in the ointment might be rumors and rumors of pictures showing that Odom is straying back towards the partying lifestyle that put him out of commission to begin with.  As reported by Perez Hilton and E!News, Odom was seen recently drinking with friends at the Johnny O’Brien Pub in Sherman Oaks, CA – despite the fact that he is still in recovery from his overdose and it’s after effects.

When asked directly by ET at Kobe Bryant’s final NBA game whether there was any truth to these rumors, Odom wasn’t exactly  transparent: ” I mean, it gets tough, especially if so much gets speculated,” said Odom, continuing: “Only a few people know the truth, and I just keep that close to me heart.”

Hopefully that truth is a good one for all concerned.

“Empire” Recap: Episode 13, Season 2 **Spoiler Alert**

To borrow from Donald Trump, HUGE things happened last week on “Empire” with Camilla Marks (Naomi Campbell) going out ‘ding dong, that b*tch is dead’ style at the end of episode 12 and pulling her wife Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei) with her into that cold hard grave.  Considering all of that drama,  it wouldn’t have been unexpected for yesterday’s episode to have been much chiller and tamer with regards to the eye popping episodic business preceding it.  To that end, early on at the start of episode 13, it was looking like everyone was taking it nice and normal with Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) wanting all her Lyons together in a Huxtable family way to celebrate her first birthday outside of jail, bi-polar Andre (Trai Byers) back on his meds and apologizing for accusing his wife Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) of being a ho, and Lucious (Terrence Howard) finally working through his serious issues with his mother (Kelly Rowland).  However in the end, much like the whole pristine image of “The Cosby Show” going kablooey from the inside out, all of that calm got pretty much blown to hell by the time the end credits were rolling.   So let’s get down to the best moments of that televised train wreck that we just can’t stop watching every Wednesday night even if we wanted to ***Spoiler Alert***:

  1. Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) gets engaged to Laura Calleros (Jamila Velazquez).  In the big moves and grand gestures that we should come to expect from the youngest boy of Lucious Lyon, Hakeem goes for broke and proposes to his innocent lady love Laura right after one of her shows as the opening act for his ex girlfriend Tiana (Serayah).  Even though it looks like the real thing, you just know from the look on Tiana’s face and baby in Anika Calhoun’s (Grace Gealey) belly that this path towards true love will not be running smooth.  For that matter, if folks aren’t careful, it might entirely jump the tracks before even getting close to the chapel.
  1. Lucious reveals that as a young boy he witnessed as his mother took her own life.  Working through his music video with Cookie, Lucious puts together all of the flashbacks from his boyhood and reveals that not only did his mother nearly drown him in a deluded attempt to cleanse him of his sins, but after she realized what she had almost done, she put a bullet in her own skull to atone – with him as her only audience.  Now that’s a family history  you don’t want to see visited on anyone – no matter what dirty deeds they have done.
  1. Lucious admits to withholding the information that Andre’s mental issues likely come from Lucious’ own mother.  When images of Lucious’ mother putting a gun to her head in Lucious’ music video trigger Andre’s  memories of putting a gun to his own head in a depressive mental episode, Andre confronts Lucious for keeping this vital information secret rather than revealing it in order to help with Andre’s treatment and mental well being.  Lucious is unapologetic for the lifelong omission, defending his actions as the better part of strength via refusal to admit any genetic weakness borne of the Lyon family tree.  Yet another anti-father of the year moment for Lucious.
  1. Jamal (Jussie Smollett) steals Freda Gatz (Bre-z) from Lucious and Cookie learns that Freda Gatz is Frank Gather’s (Chris Rock) daughter.  In a turn that was bound to happen with Freda playing Lucious’ adopted daughter, Freda learns the hard way that Lucious truly has no allegiance to anyone – especially his own children be they biological, musical or adopted.  When Jamal finally gets Freda to see this, she comes to a recording session with Jamal and admits to Cookie that she is the recently murdered Frank Gathers’ devoted girl child.  Need we remind everyone that Cookie and Lucious are the ones who plotted and executed the murder of Freda’s dear old dad?  Yikes.
  1. Rhonda Lyon makes plans to stay at Anika Calhoun’s home as a ‘safe haven’ from Lyon family drama.  Ugh!  Talk about not having good instincts when it comes to dangerous female frenemies like Anika that would sooner cut somebody’s throat out than have another woman carrying a Lyon dynasty fetus beat her to the delivery table.  Now, we’re not saying that Anika is the baby killer who pushed Rhonda down the stairs causing Rhonda to miscarry, but Anika certainly isn’t crying about that unusual turn of events, now is she?  Rhonda going to live with Anika instead of Andre or just about any other random person just isn’t a move that is going to play out well for anyone other than Miss Anika Boo Boo Kitty herself.

“Empire” can be seen on Wednesday nights at 9/8 central on FOX.

EXCLUSIVE: Jimmy Henchman Files For New Trial, Says Tupac Shooting Allegations Swayed Jury

(AllHipHop News) In a stunning turn of events, AllHipHop has learned exclusively that James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond officially requested for a new trial on March 10th in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York (21 U.S.C 2255).

Rosemond is currently serving seven life sentences as a “drug kingpin,” for allegedly heading up a $10 million-a-year cocaine operation.

Despite a checkered background, while in operation Jimmy’s Czar Entertainment reportedly managed The Game, Sean Kingston, Brandy, Gucci Mane, Salt-n-Pepa and Akon.

Henchman also had a well publicized beef with 50 Cent and his G-unit crew.

In addition to “drug kingpin” charges, in December of 2015 a jury determined Rosemond was guilty of killing Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher in retaliation for his then 14-year-old son being attacked by the G-Unit’s Tony Yayo.

The complaint, filed against former Assistant U.S. Attorney Todd Kaminsky is based on the premise that Henry Butler received substantial benefits for his testimony during the trial.

“Kaminsky and the government have taken my life, and now he is using it to run for senate. I guess ambition has no boundaries,” Rosemond told AllHipHop.com.

He also says he was “never found with any money or drugs in his possession,” nor was any evidence produced during a two-year wire tap on his phones and in his office.

Furthermore, Rosemond assails that Butler was the government’s star witness and received favors from former Assistant U.S. Attorney Todd Kaminsky unbeknownst to the courts.

Ineffective counsel and juror misconduct were also cited in the Habeas Corpus request for a new trial.

“The government and its prosecutor, now state senate candidate, Todd Kaminsky, used underhanded and unethical methods against me to secure my guilty verdict. I have lost everything. All the money I made as a legitimate music industry businessman, and now my freedom. I feel that I was prosecuted to the extent to which I was, in large measure, because of my role in the Hip Hop industry and the ability of the government to gain so much notoriety on my case,” James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond told AllHipHop in an exclusive statement.

Ironically, lead prosecution witness Henry Butler is married to Leah Daniels-Butler who is the sister of Lee Daniels famed director and co-creator of the hit television series, Empire.

Rosemond believes he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison in 2013 based on testimony from Butler.

Jimmy  claims that Butler was allegedly a major supplier of drugs that were obtained through Mexican cartels.

Rosemond’s attorneys believe the only evidence against Rosemond was circumstantial and supplied by prosecution witnesses all of whom were offered deals, like Butler, in return for their testimony.

According to Rosemond, Leah Daniels and Henry Butler were first targeted in narcotics investigations, arrested and after cooperating with federal authorities named Rosemond for a plea deal.

Leah Daniels -Butler was reportedly found with two guns, loaded magazines and drugs, she was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to perform 250 hours of community service.

Butler served less than 4 years in prison.

Rosemond says Kaminsky has used his status as the lead prosecutor to promote his campaign, benefitting from the high-profile media attention generated by Rosemond’s prosecution.

[RELATED: 50 Cent Talks Jimmy Henchman Allegedly Trying To Kill Tony Yayo (AUDIO)]

In addition, Rosemond believes that he became a target of federal prosecutors because of his entertainment business and connections to high-profile names in the hip hop industry who the government wanted Rosemond to turn in to authorities.

Rosemond also states that two jurors “were overheard discussing the oft-reported story in the media that James Rosemond was somehow involved in the shooting of Tupac Shakur, some years prior to his eventual murder.”

Filmmaker Don Sikorski is producing a documentary series entitled Unjust Justice: The Jimmy Rosemond Tapes and has uncovered evidence of the prosecution’s questionable ethics that contradicts the prosecution’s contention that Rosemond was a drug kingpin.

The first piece in particular looks at allegations that Rosemond was involved in the Tupac Shakur robbery in New York City’s Quad Recording Studios.

“In examining the case of James Rosemond, it became apparent that the government has overreached in charging him with the Kingpin Statute. Under the guidelines of the charge, Rosemond was not a kingpin. The government, through coercion of informants and a well-drafted narrative that put Rosemond at the head of the snake was circumstantial at best. I have definitive proof that disputes the story of the United States Attorney and audio interviews that show Todd Kaminsky manipulated every criminal associate around Rosemond to fit his ultimate goal of prosecuting the “big catch.”

Those interested can see the film on Rosemond here: Unjust Justice: The Jimmy Rosemond Tapes

Model Goes In On Kanye West’s Clothing Line

Although Kanye West seems to have won over many, such as Vogue editor Anna Wintour, with his Yeezy fashion line, it looks like model Sam Rollinson may have stated what the majority of people are really feeling. Rollinson has described ‘Ye’s line as dreadful. In an interview with ES Magazine, Rollinson, 21, who has starred in campaigns for Zara, Chanel Watches, Tod’s and DKNY, said,

“I don’t know why Kanye West is coming to fashion shows. Beats me. Or why he is doing his own line. It’s absolutely dreadful. I could do it better. Genuinely.”

We aren’t even mad at Rollinson’s statement. We all wish Kanye would’ve done a lot better than a homeless street chic line.

Source Says Meek Mill Will Not Be Releasing ‘DC4’ On April 29th

Although rumor has it that Meek Mill’s ‘Dreamchasers 4’ mixtape will drop on April 29th (the same day as Drake’s ‘Views From The 6’ album will be released), apparently, Atlantic Records is saying this is completely false. A DatPiff page surfaced on April 12th showing a cover for ‘DC4’ with a countdown indicating a release date of April 29th. According to Atlantic, April 29th is not an official release date for DC4 at all. Hmmmmmm. What are your thoughts? Would it be nice if DC4 was really dropping the same day? Would it be just another ‘L’ for Meek?

Drake’s ‘Views From The 6’ Rumored To Be A Double Disc Album

Photo via Drake’s Instagram

As we know Drake’s highly anticipated ‘Views From The 6′ album will be released on April 29th. Interestingly enough, rumor has it that “Views’ may be a double disc album. Drake did say that fans would be getting lots of music, more than enough for the year, and it has taken him a while to complete the record. If Drake does in fact drop a double LP, perhaps each disc will have completely different sounds. Well most don’t buy the tangle copies of albums anymore so that just means a whole bunch of songs in the playlist for streaming and download. Does this mean one disc written by PartyNextDoor /Majid Jordan, and the other by Quentin Miller/Mo-G? Jk, Jk. LOL.

(AllHipHop News) With as many as four people coming out with sexual allegation against Afrika Bambaataa over the past few weeks,

In a statement to Rolling Stone Bambaataa cleared the air speaking at the advice of his legal counsel.

“I, Afrika Bambaataa, want to take this opportunity at the advice of my legal counsel to personally deny any and all allegations of any type of sexual molestation of anyone,” Bambaataa says in a statement to Rolling Stone. “These allegations are baseless and are a cowardly attempt to tarnish my reputation and legacy in hip-hop at this time. This negligent attack on my character will not stop me from continuing my battle and standing up against the violence in our communities, the violence in the nation and the violence worldwide.”

“In the name of the Supreme Force, who is called by many names, whom All Praise is due. Good Spiritual Human, I pray for all of you and ask in returns your prayers, and let us all do what we must to help change our ways on how we treat each other in evilness, to respect and love for each other as Humans Beings,” Bambaataa continues in his statement. “May Peace and Blessings be upon each and everyone of you. Who would stand up to save us and our planet with so much chaos going on? Peace, Love, Honor and Respect to all.”

The statement comes on the heels of a recent rumor that Bambaataa was going to be ousted from the Universal Zulu Nation all together.

Yesterday the Universal Zulu Nation responded in an exclusive statement to the allegations saying that a government conspiracy had specifically attacked the character of Afrika Bambaataa and the Universal Zulu Nation.

50 Cent Is Still Taunting Irv Gotti!

King of Petty, 50 Cent, just refuses to let Irv Gotti and the rest of the former Murder Inc. crew live. Murda Mook recently posted a photo with Gotti along with a caption that read,

“Had a lengthy discussion wit a man that knows this game all too well. And always has been for the artist. He is quietly responsible for some of the greatest artists of all time. A very #honorable dude and mentor. @irvgotti187 and he still loves the rush of doing dope sh*t.”

Irv replied saying,

“@Murdamookez my n*gga. We gonna work. See what happens. F*ck it.”

50 must’ve got wind that Irv was trying to make moves and commented under the post saying,

“Nothing is gonna happen, I’m still around watching everything n*ggas I’m not missing a beat.”

Mook didn’t seem too bothered by it and decided to stay out of it, skipping 50’s comment to let someone know he’s dropping a new single today. LOL! Oh 50.
