Yesterday, acclaimed lawyer Gloria Allred held a joint press conference with Molly O’Malia. The aspiring singer / model contends that a bogus article by a gossip publication linking her to Tyga has brought about negative attention.
Amid salacious rumors, concerning Tyga’s interactions with the 14-year old, his manager Anthony Martini has spoken out on behalf of his client. Motivated only by his interest in O’Malia’s singing ability, the “Stimulated” rapper contends that their communication never got “uncomfortable.”
Within a recently obtained text message, Molly claimed to be 17, reports TMZ. Currently, the “Loyal” artist in a highly-publicized relationship with Kylie Jenner. According to Tyga’s camp, Molly’s online musical presence warranted further attention.

“Obviously I’m going to side with Nike no matter who it is,” declared LeBron James. The redeemed Cleveland Cavalier has earned a lifetime endorsement deal with Nike. “It’s just, it’s family when you talk about Nike, and I’m always on their side no matter what the situation is,” King James affirmed to Cleveland.com.
At the close of 2015, Kanye West, released “Facts,” a passionate track where Yeezus dissed Nike. Even though James has supposedly not heard the aforementioned track, he remains faithful to Nike. Specific details remain unclear, but it has be estimated that James’ contract with the Swoosh exceedes $500M.
Travis Porter return with a new track called “Explicit” which is produced by West Coast powerhouse production team League of Stars. Travis Porter is a group that’s been a bit quiet in 2015, but we are expecting some big songs from these guys as they are still relatively young with a lot of time left in their career.
Yesterday (Jan. 4), Strange Music announced the anticipated Tech N9ne’s Independent Powerhouse Tour 2016. “It’s going to be big, the biggest tour we’ve ever done,” boasts Nina. Krizz Kaliko, ¡Mayday!, Rittz, Ces Cru, and Stevie Stone are all slated for this epic endeavor.

The self-made spitter continues to reinforce his lyrical legacy. For six consecutive years, the creative entrepreneur has performed more than 200 shows a year. What other artist should go out on tour with Tech N9ne?
Before Melyssa Ford was the go-to-girl for nearly every rap video of the early 2000’s, Amber Rose became a household name as Kanye West’s muse, or Cardi B was crowned the new princess of Instagram models, Darlene Ortiz broke ground as the first vixen of rap. Ortiz was more than just a pretty face. She was an equal partner – professionally and romantically – with rapper/actor Tracy “Ice-T” Marrow.
Ortiz has now shared the compelling story of her days with the West Coast legend in the new book Definition Of Down – My Life with Ice-T & the Birth Of Hip-Hop. The 155-page effort, co-written by Heidi Cuda, covers the highs and lows of rap’s first power couple. My Life with Ice-T alsoprovides a look back at the early years of Hip Hop told through firsthand accounts and never-before seen photographs.
AllHipHop.com spoke with Darlene Ortiz about her extremely personal memoir released via Paul Stewart’s Over The Edge Books. In part 1 of the interview, the b-girl and fitness aficionado made famous from Ice-T’s unforgettable Power album cover discusses whether he responded to the book, their son’s reaction to what he read, and battling the unwarranted stereotypes often associated with an autobiography from an entertainer’s ex-girlfriend.
You spent a lot of time talking about your relationship with Ice, but his persona has been presented as a gangsta/pimp rapper. Why didn’t you focus on that part of his life?
I came in on the tail end of that. That ended. I do mention about the part where he made up his mind he was going to stick with his music. When I met him, he was out of that lifestyle. I could see it all around us, because his boys were still into it. But they were trying to help support him, as well as I was, to move on to the next chapter in his life, because none of them felt anywhere near that ability to make a move to do something legitimate.
You decided to start the book off by talking about some of the issues you had with your mother dealing with abuse and alcoholism. Why was it important for you to start the story at that point in your life?
To me, it’s connected later on in life on how I met Ice-T and being able to actually be in an entirely different city at that age. I didn’t have any guidance. I could pretty much do whatever I wanted to do. So I felt the need to go back, because it was a lot of things I talk about that I was hoping would help other children in that situation.
I thought, “You know what? Maybe this can help somebody else.” The best way to write a memoir is to be very candid. I hope people say, “She made it through. Let me see how she did it.” So I felt the need to go back.
‘Definition Of Down’ Cover
Most of the book is about the good times you two had together, but you also talked about some of the rough patches. Was it difficult reflecting back on those moments? Particularly, there was a section where you talked about things getting physical. Was it hard having to relive those moments?
Oh my god! Was it ever. The part about my mom was nothing compared to this. I had already made that leap of survival into the next phase of my life. When that situation in the car happened, even the infidelities – feeling it? Hell yeah!
I did an audio version. It took me so many times to go back in and say, “Okay, I can do it. I can do it today.” Reflecting on things like that in your life can be very therapeutic. You get stronger each time you think about it.
Writing and recording the book, I can actually laugh. I said, “Oh my god. I can only imagine had we been through those times nowadays. It would have been all over the internet.”
TMZ would have had it the next day.
Right. Interesting enough, a lot of those situations [at that time] probably never would have occurred. I think people would have been like, “Uh oh, someone could be taping me.” It would have changed the dynamic entirely.
Back In The Day: Queen Darlene + Ice-T
Was the therapeutic process part of the reason why you decided to release the book now?
No, I always wanted to write a story. Things were so fascinating and amazing. I was like, “How is this happening to me? Who am I?” I knew this was something to share. I just didn’t know it was going to end like that.
At the time I knew I was literally going to write a book. The timing of it all kept me from releasing it when I wanted to. Heavy duty life twists and turns set me back and pushed a lot of time back.
So even though I wanted to do it many years ago – we’ve been a part for 15 years – there were a lot of things that came in to play that said, “No, now is not the time.” The main one was our son. I wanted to write a story the moment his dad left us, but at the same time our kid was underage. I couldn’t do it until I felt he was old enough to understand.
Has he read your book?
He just did. He waited a little while. I kept telling him a little bit about it here and there. I didn’t want to push anything on him. He’s a big supporter of both of us, but I know he has really wanted to keep hold of his dad’s love.
So I don’t ever want to push anything in my kid’s face. I just said, “Just a reminder. I have this L.A. signing on Thursday. If you could come by, that would make my day. If not, I understand.” I don’t ever want to put pressure on him. But he showed up, and he bought two books.
I told him I’d give him a book, but he said, “No, ma. I want to make this official.” He bought two books, one for his best friend for Christmas and one for himself. He said, “When I fly out to see my dad for the holidays, I’m going to read it on the plane.”
He called me, and of course the message was very personal. We’re very close. He has a great respect and appreciation for me on a lot of things I chose to do and not do while he was a young man and I was a single woman. He respects that some strange dude didn’t come in and take up all his time. So this put the seal on it like, “Wow mom.” That message was very touching. I’m very proud.
Lil Ice + Darlene Ortiz
Have you heard from Ice about the book?
Not a peep. Not one thing. You know people would ask, “What do you think he’s thinking?” I’d say, “I don’t know.” I called him and asked him if he would write the forward.
[I said,] “Since we broke up we went separate ways, but this story is there. I wrote it. I’m going to put it out there. I would love nothing but for you, of all people, to write the forward. Wouldn’t that be amazing, not just for our son, but the community as a whole to see?”
He sent a message back saying, “Oh, interesting. What’s the title?” I sent him back “Definition Of Down.” I never got a response back, so I guess that was a no. [laughs] I’m trying to be as cool as can be. It’s not the end of the world to me.
I think a lot of times when you have people that were in a relationship with someone famous and they release a book, the impression is that it’s going to be a tell-all, scandalous book. But that’s not what this book is. Have you had to push back against that stereotype?
It’s funny you say that. I am running into that. I knew I was going to get certain flack from people. It’s just certain people that I’m shocked about.
I went out to New York to do some promotion the first week it came out. I had a lot on the schedule, and about two or three things pulled out at the last minute for no good reason. I’d hate to even speculate. [laughs]
But yeah, I’m getting people that are coming off a little leery. I’m not going to beg them. I’m going to let them hear for themselves from other reputable websites and publications. It’s like, “Why don’t you read it for yourselves?” It’s not what people are instantly, automatically assuming.
I am getting some interesting feedback from people before they even know what it’s about. They’re like, “Isn’t that a contradiction? She called it Definition Of Down, but yet she’s putting this story out.” Well yeah, but look how way later it is. And I never did that dude dirty, and I don’t think this book is doing anybody dirty. I think this is beautiful. So I’ll see how everything unfolds.
Yesterday, (Jan. 4), Future hopped on his personal Twitterand opened up to his fans. Even though he appears to have been enjoying the success of his hit single “Jumpman,” the father of four used the social media site to address his co-parenting challenges. Although he didn’t specifically name Ciara, he did mention the son he shares with the R&B songstress.
“I gotta go through lawyers to see babyfuture…the fuckery for 15k a month,” lamented the frustrated Freebandz president. Soon his tweets turned caustic when he added, “This b#### got control problems…” With his withered patience the “Honest” rapper then focused on the cause of his concern, “I jus want babyfuture that’s all.”
At the conclusion of his interactive update, Future included an ambiguous message, “Get ready for this classic.” Check out the slide to see all of Future’s tweets. Did his last tweet allude to a “classic” custody war or perhaps more “classic” music? A source from Ciara’s camp has since responded. Click here for the response.
(AllHipHop News)Star Wars: The Force Awakensis on pace to become the highest grossing movie of all time. Episode VII of the sci-fi action movie franchise will not be getting any money from Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell’s immediate family.
In an interview with Vulture, the former 2 Live Crew front man revealed he will not be supporting the film. Apparently, Campbell is still upset over a $300 million federal lawsuit filed in 1990 by Star Wars‘ production company Lucasfilm.
“Every time I see a trailer, or an ad, for that movie, all I can think is I want that motherf*cker George Lucas to give me my money back,” said Campbell.
He added, “I tell my kids, don’t ever buy bootleg, but if you really want to watch that movie, you can buy it bootleg.”
Lucasfilm, the company founded by director George Lucas, was concerned Campbell’s then stage name “Luke Skywalker” would damage the reputation of the trademarked name of Star Wars‘ main character “Luke Skywalker” played by Mark Hamill. At the time, Campbell and his group were known for making sexually explicit songs such as “Me So Horny.”
However, Campbell insists he took “Luke Skywalker” from New York Knicks player Kenny “Sky” Walker, and everyone close to him always called him Luke, not Luther. The two sides eventually settled for $300,000. The Miami native was forced to go by simply Luke, later Uncle Luke.
“I respect the fact that people love the movie,” states Campbell. “George Lucas made a helluva movie and a brand. People love it. But he took nearly a half a million dollars from me.”
There seems to always be that one friend or one fan that takes social media too far with documenting everything. Jeezy isn’t here for it. If you were ever thinking about catching Jeezy on your Snap Chat story, DON’T! Jeezy recently tweeted,
“Snap chat gone get somebody head knocked off! FYI no grown man should try to snap chat another grown man!! Where they do that @.”
Rumor has it Jeezy isn’t the biggest fan of social media or of cameras. It’s been said that he’s very protective of his image and often times, only his official photographers are allowed to be close enough to him to capture photos of him. Allegedly his security and camp don’t play about capturing images of him, and will make you delete them if they can. What are your thoughts? Should a grown man be Snap Chatting another grown man?
(AllHipHop News)Forbes has released its 2016 list of 30 Under 30 for the music industry. The business publication featured several individuals connected to the world of Hip Hop.

The “Hollywood 30 Under 30” includes Star Wars actor John Boyega (23), Empire actor Bryshere Gray (22), actress-singer Zendaya (19), and comedian Jerrod Carmichael (28). The stars of Straight Outta Compton – Corey Hawkins (27), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (24), and Jason Mitchell (28) – also made the list.
On the sports side, NBA MVP Steph Curry (27), NFL quarterback Cam Newton (26), Super Bowl winner Russell Wilson (27), and Little League pitcher Mo’ne Davis (14) were among the picks.
Rumor has it that Lil’ Wayne bought one of his alleged side chicks @ErikaFBaby a diamond ring. Erika seems to suggest that she’s pretty much in love with Wayne, and Wayne is returning the love as she shared some “exclusive” pics. The pics she posted suggested that Lil’ Wayne bought her a diamond ring and other jewelry items. The two have allegedly known each other for 10 years. As quick as the rumor and pictures surfaced, Lil’ Wayne took to his Twitter to say,
“I don’t send rings thru the mail people I’m much more romantic than that stop it.”
Erika has seemed to provide some proof that a ring actually was sent to her by what appears to be Lil’ Wayne’s assistant. Rumor has it that Erika doesn’t mind being one of Lil’ Wayne’s chicks either. Allegedly she’s content with him showering her with gifts, and she’s not worried about the other women in his life. All we know is someone is lying about this diamond ring.
(AllHipHop News) With a musical mentorship record that includes Kanye West, Rihanna, and J. Cole, Jay Z has help turn several artists into platinum selling stars. It appears the Roc Nation boss is setting his eyes on a boy band member from the U.K. as his next protegé.
In an article with the Daily Star Sunday, Jay is quoted speaking about One Direction’s Harry Styles. The 21-year-old vocalist is already a well known performer around the world (he has 26 million Twitter followers), but the Brooklyn born mogul thinks stepping away from 1D will be an important task.
“Harry doesn’t need any help with exposure; everybody in the world knows who he is,” said Jay. “But he does need to make the transition from being part of a group to becoming an individual artist.”
One Direction announced the group is taking a hiatus. However, Styles has not confirmed whether he will release an album as a solo act. If the England native does decide to release a project, Jay believes he can do a lot to enhance Styles’ career.
“I can get him working with the bigger artists, the biggest producers – and have him as the biggest artist in the world within a year,” added Jay.
Those words are similar to what fellow New York rapper 50 Cent said about Styles’ former One Direction partner Zayn Malik. Last year, 50 expressed interest in working with Zayn and connecting him with top Hip Hop artists.
“If Zayn wants a rap career, just because of who he is, he is going to sell records,” said 50. “But if he wants to be credible he has to be with the right people. I’d happily sign him up to my label, mentor him and have him working with the biggest rappers on the planet.”
It may be safe to say that Naughty By Nature’s Treach is not a Kanye West fan. Treach has been posting plenty of material on Tupac suggesting that he is one of the greatest. Treach also took to Twitter to take a poll asking his followers who was their favorite between Kanye and Pac. Allegedly Treach is upset that he heard that Kanye allegedly said Tupac is overrated. The problem is, the rumor allegedly started from one of the millions of gossip sites that post fake stories. Treach even retweeted an article someone wrote about how disappointing Kanye’s “Facts” was, and he retweeted fans saying Pac is better. Based on how close Treach & Pac were, we understand why he rides so hard for Pac.
Yesterday, Future took to his Twitter to tell the world that Ciara was making it hard for him to see their son. Sources close to Ciara are denying Future’s claims that he pays $15K for child support. Future tweeted,
“I just want baby future that’s all.”
“I gotta go through lawyers to see babyfuture the f*ckery for 15K a month.”
“This b*tch got control problems.”
Future maintains that he’s been silent for a year, but now he’s fed up. Sources close to Ciara told E! News that Future’s claims simply are untrue, and that the singer is not keeping Future from seeing their son. The source also claims that Future uses the failed relationship controversy to promote his music and stay in the press. The source also claims that Future has never paid $15K in child support, he told Ciara he hopes she fails in everything she does, and that he is unable to move on an co-parent in a healthy manner. Yikes. We hope they get it together for the sake of baby Future!

(AllHipHop News) For over a year, Lil Wayne and Birdman were involved in a very public feud that included Twitter rants, lawsuits, drink throwing, disses in songs, and alleged murder conspiracies. The estranged pair, that once referred to themselves as father and son, are reportedly on the verge of settling their differences.
It came as a shock to many observers when YMCMB’s Wayne, Birdman, and Drake were all seen together in a photo on New Year’s Eve. According to TMZ, the picture was a sign the Young Money leader and the Cash Money Records co-founder have spoken about reconciling.
YM executive Mack Maine apparently played a role in bringing the two New Orleans natives back together. Maine supposedly set up a phone conversation between Wayne and Birdman before they met face-to-face at they NYE party in Miami.
TMZ reports:
Our sources say both Wayne and Birdman have strong feelings about burying the hatchet. That said, we’re told Wayne will not move to dismiss his lawsuit unless and until they reach an agreement.
As for why they came together, we’re told Mack Maine has a lot of influence, especially with Wayne, and opened his mind to a settlement.
In late 2014, Wayne announced on Twitter that he wanted to leave Cash Money, because the company refused to release his Tha Carter V album. That was followed by the “Glory” rapper filing a $51 million lawsuit against his record label. Birdman later sued Tidal, which Wayne is a part owner, over the streaming service hosting Wayne’s Free Weezy Album.
People were wondering why Gucci Mane erased his social media, but maybe he had to clean up real fast so he could come home. I don’t know what he said on his social media in the past, but the future looks bright.
Peep how Gucci is coming home!
The news isn’t 100% but I am thinking this will come to from true.
The white woman gonna be the end of you Neguses! Now, look at Tyga. Some underage chick is accusing him of “relentlessly texting” her ass. WHAT? And Gloria Alfred – the great ambulance chaser – is on him. This cannot end well. Peep the vid!
It won’t help that that Kylie is on the verge of dropping him. He better control his textin’ finger.
Some random dude got on the internet and p##### at Travi$ Scott and exposed the merch of the rapper for what it is – a straight jack of some internet artwork! The tweet has gotten over 4,000 views and counting. Folks got jokes!
I don’t know dude. I think that he’s a pretty good dude with a cocky disposition, based on what I have seen. However, that disposition may have gotten him in a space where he is unable to flourish in the modern era. The word on the street is that dude is now back on drugs. Remember, Scott Storch was down with The Roots and later Dr. Dre. He was the man! He even bagged Lil Kim for a minutes join life.
Here is the talk of the day.
It seems like Storch is back on drugs and being sued by two men that say they gave him a million bucks to get his career back on track. Here is what the Hollywood Reporter says:
According to a new lawsuit filed in Florida federal court, there were still some individuals willing to help him out because of his talents.
Brad Cohen and Seth Cohen, who are wealthy through insurance and real estate holdings, say that upon the June bankruptcy, they saw that Storch “was once again ready to prove himself as a worthy record producer and use his deep connections in the music industry to make money for the three of them” so they allegedly entered into a deal with him and put up more than $1 million to fund his comeback.
Plus, states the lawsuit, Storch was provided with a weekly salary, a Rolls-Royce Ghost and a rental house in Parkland, Florida.
The lawsuit claims that Storch is backing away from the relationship and that the music producer “is back to his old ways and is not someone to trust with any monies.”
“In fact, B. Cohen and S. Cohen had an agreement with Storch that B. Cohen and S. Cohen would take the Rolls-Royce Ghost away from Storch if he failed a drug test or it was otherwise discovered by B. Cohen and/or S. Cohen that Storch was using drugs,” states the complaint. “In mid-December 2015, B. Cohen and S. Cohen discovered that Storch was again using drugs and demanded return of the vehicle. The vehicle is in S. Cohen name and S. Cohen did not want it to become an insurance liability. Upon information and belief, the demand that Storch return the vehicle partially led to B. Cohen and S. Cohen falling out of grace with Storch.”
The parties appear to be in dispute over the validity of an operating agreement.
For the record, Storch and his lawyer say the whole thing is bogus. Read it at THR.
